DEATH EATER ATTACK THREAD Setting: Students Emily Prescott, Lachlan Parker, Marlene McKinnon and Hestia Jones have all been sent 'detention slips' at dinner from Argus Filch, detailing that the four of them are to serve their detentions tonight by helping Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest. Confused, the four students leave their uneaten dinners behind to go and find out what this is all about...
There is no posting order. The four Death Eater Students (Evan Rosier, Bellatrix Black, Amycus & Alecto Carrow) will be waiting to ambush the four students inside the Forbidden Forest. Godmoding is allowed, as long as you get express permission from the other person first. Good luck!

I SEE THAT THERE IS EVIL AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS GOOD Tonight was just getting weirder by the minute. First of all, she hadn't been able to finish any of her dinner - which, for a Quidditch player with a big appetite, was extremely out of character. And secondly, the note that had been dropped off at the Gryffindor Table seemed very suspicious. Well, Filch was known to have horrible handwriting, but to be given a detention slip at dinner was very weird - it hardly ever happened. But, Marlene tried to be positive about it. There was always a first for everything, and Marlene had been out of bed after curfew, so she supposed that this was the just desserts she got for her actions.
Tucking the note into her robe pocket, Marlene made her way out into the near-empty Entrance Hall and slipped out the front doors unnoticed. Her stomach gave a small rumble and she thought back to her unfinished dinner. She knew the reason she wasn't eating, but admitting it out loud was another matter altogether. She couldn't stop thinking about Sirius and all the time they'd spent together recently, not to mention his smile and the way his hair flicked back out of his eyes. She shook her head and put her hand up to her forehead, shielding her eyes and her bright red cheeks.
Walking across the dimly lit grounds, Marlene eventually made her way over to Hagrid's hut, where she was meant to meet the rest of her detention party. Perhaps some of the other people were caught out after curfew on the same night? Either way, the more Marlene thought about the situation, the more suspicious it felt. She was the first one to arrive at Hagrid's Hut, and so, she took a seat on Hagrid's front step. After all, he wouldn't mind - he was the one who was to be taking them into the Forbidden Forest, anyway.

- - - - - - - - - Lachlan didn't particularly care about the detention slip he'd recieved at dinner time. All he really knew was that he'd finally been busted for sneaking out to the kitchens with Trent, but when his best friend received no such slip from Filch, he began to get suspicious. Trent shrugged and looked at his best friend, "No idea," he said as Lachlan stared down at the scrawled out note. "Oh well," Lachlan said in return as he shoved the note deep into his jeans pocket. "See you later," Lachlan muttered as he patted Trent on the back. He rose from his seat, and his unfinished dinner, and made his way out towards Hagrid's Hut.
He was the second person to arrive - Marlene, an acquaintance of Lachlan's, was already seated on the step of Hagrid's Hut. She looked up as Lachlan arrived. The two of them exchanged greetings and sat in silence, waiting for the other people to arrive.

The plan was all set up and had been for weeks. Slughorn had been teaching his sixth year Slytherins about the Polyjuice Potion and all of it's properties, which was lucky enough for Evan Rosier, to say the least. Evan had stolen a bit after class when Slughorn had been talking to Augustus Rookwood, and had given it to Amycus to use tonight. The four Slytherin Death Eaters had taken the liberty to knock out Filch and use him as the alibi for tonight's deeds.
But, unfortunately, for Amycus, he had drawn the short straw and had to take the Polyjuice Potion and pretend to be Filch for the evening.
Mrs. Norris wouldn't come near Amycus (dressed up as Filch), which made it harder for Amycus to act as the grumpy old care-taker of Hogwarts. Sweating, Amycus made his way into the Great Hall, broom in one hand and four detention slips in the other. The prey for tonight's entertainment had been carefully chosen: Emily Prescott, muggleborn; Lachlan Parker, muggleborn; Marlene McKinnon, blood traitor; and Hestia Jones, blood traitor.
Slowly, Amycus made his way around to the Gryffindor table and the Hufflepuff table, giving out the detention slips with a sneer. So far, he hadn't raised any eyebrows. Watching, as eventually the four students made their way outside - some more confused than others - Amycus, dressed as Filch, shuffled off towards the entrance hall to find the back way into the Forbidden Forest, where his other Death Eater cohorts were waiting patiently for him. Who knew when this disguise was going to wear off...

Emily was confused and embarrassed to say the least, for only seconds after sitting down to enjoy her dinner, which she'd been looking forward to all day, she received a detention slip from Filch who had then shuffled off without so much as a word. After staring at the little slip of paper blankly, and ignoring the sniggers from her fellow peers, Emily pushed away from the table and stood up, before making her way out of the Great Hall. If she was honest, Emily felt mortified, not once in her years here at Hogwarts had she ever received a detention, she always followed the rules so to say getting this detention confused her was...
Emily's steps faltered as she smacked the palm of her hand to her forehead, suddenly realising why she'd been given this punishment. 3 nights ago she'd been studying in the Library and fallen asleep, only waking up way after curfew. She'd quickly packed her bag and ran to the Gryffindor Common Room, but she'd been certain no one had seen her, it'd been past midnight, the halls had been empty. Shaking her head, Emily sighed, wrapping her robe around her body, as she slipped outside, quickly pocketing the detention slip.
In regards to the detention, she guessed it wasn't so bad, after all she'd be spending it helping Hagrid and he was always a pleasure to be around. Tucking her hair behind her ear, Emily closed in on Hagrid's hut, a frown working it's way into her pretty features. Turned out she wasn't on this detention alone, "Hey guys..." she greeted both Lachlan and Marlene with a hint of surprise in her tone. She stopped just short of where they were sat and looked around, "Hagrid not shown yet?" she asked, suppressing a cold shiver that went down her spine upon looking at the Great Forest, she hated that place.

HESTIA JONES!
Hestia had just finished taking a large sip of Pumpkin Juice when a dentition slip was set in front of her by Filch. She immediately turned to ask what it was for but it was to late. Filch had already slinked off to deliver some others to the Gryffindor table. Hes had never before gotten a detention slip in her life. She grimaced, trying to remember what she could have possibly done. Then she remembered a couple of mornings ago when her and Lachlan had skipped potions and hung out for the day. She didn't think they had been seen though. Gathering her stuff, she ashamedly left the Great Hall and headed down to Hagrid's hut where she was to serve her detention.
She was the last to reach the hut. She looked around to see who was there with her and wasnt surprised to see Lachlan but cocked her head a little in confusion when she saw Marlene and Emily. She supposed the detention wouldn't be so bad if she was with her friends. She smiled and waved as she finally approached the hut.
"Hagrid not here yet?" she asked with a frown. "What are the rest of you in trouble for?"

The reason as to why she had come down the Forbidden Forest so early was a mystery to Bellatrix Black. She had been here at least half an hour, and still there was no sign of her fellow Death Eaters. She could have still been in the common room, relaxing by the fire, but no, her over-eagerness had led her to sitting in the forest alone, waiting for everybody else to turn up. Where were they anyway?
The nights anticipated events had been set up for weeks. It had taken a lot of careful planning and it had taken a lot of debating and arguing to choose four targets. In the end, they had settled on two muggleborns and two blood traitors. In Bella’s book, they were all as bad as each other and they all deserved what was about to be inflicted upon them tonight. Bella shifted her position on the forest floor so she was leaning against the base of a large tree. The flickers of moonlight that had found their way through the tress illuminated her face, making her smirk even more pronounced.
The only problem the four Death Eaters had encountered during their planning was where to find a batch of Polyjuice Potion. Of course, they could have asked the Dark Lord to help them out, but it seemed to be an unspoken agreement between the four that they were going to do this by themselves. It would show what they were capable of, prove their ability as Death Eaters. It was lucky that Evan had taken the initiative to steal some from Slughorn. She had fixed the wand spin they had carried out to decide who would take the potion, so it was Amycus that had been given the job of posing as Filch for an hour. Well, she was hardly going to do it was she?
She sighed, rising to her feet and started to walk slowly around the clearing. Her eyes were wide and alert, looking out for her fellow Death Eaters. It would not be long now, before the Mudbloods and blood traitors were lured into the forest. And honestly, she couldn’t wait.

THIS IS THE END. Evan was running late - well, later than he would have liked. He was never late, but instead of arriving early, tonight he was going to arrive on time. Even usually liked to be early; which, in some cases, made him predictable, but Evan disliked tardiness in general. Standing above his own bed with his school satchel open on top of the grey silk sheets, Evan slipped his black leather gloves on and his black robes. It blended in with the dark surroundings of the Forbidden Forest, and tonight, Evan did not want to be seen.
He closed his satchel with a snap and walked briskly out of the common room towards the forest, hoping to meet Carrow at their designated meeting spot.
--
"You're late," Evan hissed as the Filch doppleganger strolled over and shrugged. "Can we just get to it?"
Amycus hissed back, sounding almost too eager to get out of the costume he was wearing. Evan rolled his eyes and began walking towards the far end of the forest, but not before casting a disillusionment charm over both himself and Amycus. The walk was long and dark, with Amycus falling over every so often, but with Evan's guidance, the two of them finally found Bellatrix hidden in the trees before the clearing. "Carrow held us up." Evan spat haughtily as Amycus made a loud clunking noise by taking his cloak off. "But we're here. They have not been lured yet?" It was more a statement, rather than question, but with the absence of the four muggle-filth, Evan figured as much. "Wait here," he said to the two of them as he turned on his heel, still under the disillusionment charm. He could hear their voices in the distance. Perfect. He crouched behind one of the bushes, far enough into the forest to lure them in, but also far enough for them to see what he was about to do. Evan pointed his wand at his throat, changing the sound of his voice to mimic Hagrid's gruff growl. "Well, what're you all waitin' for?" he said, his voice booming in the direction of the four students. "Get in here."Evan moved his position, closer towards the clearing in the forest. It would not be hard to lure them in.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

- - - - - - - - - Lachlan and Marlene definitely weren't the only two people sucked into this detention crap, that was for sure. Soon after he had arrived, Emily and Hestia - two of his closest female friends - had arrived. He said hello to the both of them and gave a warm smile. Oh well, even if it was a detention, at least he was amongst friends.
"Nah," Lachlan said, leaning against the cobbled stone of Hagrid's Hut, "Hagrid's not here yet," he replied to both Emily and Hestia's questions. "Although, he should be soon." Lachlan flashed a smile at Hestia. "Well," he started, replying to her question about why he was in detention, "I snuck out with Trent a couple of nights ago - and then you and I skipped class, so I guess this is a double detention for me." He winked at her, hoping to make an impression.
Almost coincidentally, Hagrid's voice came from deep within the forest, telling the lot of them to hurry up and help him. "Guess we'd better go, then," he said to the three girls, shrugging. Thinking nothing of it, as Lachlan had never experienced a detention like this before, Lachlan blindly followed the sound of Hagrid's voice into the forest with the two Gryffindor girls and the Hufflepuff beauty on either side of him.

Emily smiled at Hestia as the other girl joined them, the group was a strange mixture as she doubted Hestia, like her had ever gotten a detention slip... so apparently this was a night of firsts. When Lachlan went onto explain why he was here, Emily frowned ever so slightly, so him and Hestia had skipped class together, resulting in this. Biting her lip she looked down and away from the group for a moment before taking her turn to talk, "I fell asleep in the library, I'm guessing someone spotted me returning to the common room after curfew..." she said with a small shrug, it was a stupid reason to get a detention she felt, but she also knew rules were rules, and she'd always been a follower of them, they were after all put there for a reason.
She smiled lightly in amusement as Lachlan winked at Hestia, though before anything else could get said or done, Hagrids gruff voice barked out to them from the forest. With a frown she looked towards the dark forest, finding it a little strange he was already in there, but then again this was her first detention so Emily considered it as probably normal for these types of situations. Biting down on her lip, she shoved her hands into her robes pockets and took a small breath.
Right now she could think of a million other places she'd rather be heading into. Falling into step with her peers, Emily took one last glance over her shoulder before stepping through the trees, "Anybody see him yet?" she asked, her eyes straining to see Hagrid in the darkness as they walked.

I SEE THAT THERE IS EVIL AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS GOOD Marlene smiled weakly. Not that she particularly minded, but she could see the three fifth years in front of her were all good friends. All she could think about was Sirius, and how much she wished he was here to keep her company. "I couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk," she piped up after Emily had spoken, pressing her hands down on her knees to help herself up off the step. "Silly thing to do, but, here we all are."
Hagrid's gruff voice came from the Forest and Marlene was absolutely puzzled. This night was getting weirder by the minute - and, granted, Marlene had had her fair share of detentions, but none of them with Hagrid. Most of them, her cousin Dorcas had been there, but Dorcas had been a bit absent as of late. The rest of the students didn't say anything about the odd situation, and so Marlene kept her mouth shut and walked with them towards the forest.
"I don't see him..." Marlene squinted into the darkness, wondering where the hell Hagrid had gotten to. "Perhaps we should go in a bit further?"

Emily had dazed off as they continued to walk through the forest. To her their combined reasons for detentions did seem quite odd, none of them had been caught by a teacher or Filch, but all of them had received the detention slips, out the blue...it all felt a bit strange if she was being honest. However she knew it wasn't her place to question how it worked, she just hoped this didn't go against her unblemished record, the one she'd worked so hard to achieve.
"Seriously, how much further in could he be?" she asked out loud to no one in particular. Emily wasn't sure how long they'd been walking, or how deep in the forest they were now. Wrapping her arms around herself she looked around, a chill going down her spine as she eyed the trees around them, the darkness unsettling her greatly. The paranoid part of her personality couldn't shake off the overwhelming feeling she was being watched. God only knew what creatures lurked deep within these trees, they had after all been warned in their first years to stay away, and out of the Dark Forest.
Emily shifted her position slightly, she was walking on the left outer side of the group. Not sure who was next to her as she refused to look away from the trees, she shifted closer to the other body. Not too close but close enough to serve as a reminder she wasn't out here alone, "Do you guys really think we should go any further?" she asked, finally voicing her concern. Couldn't Hagrid come find them, perhaps they should just stop and wait here, surely it wouldn't be safe to walk any further...

Here it was. It was finally happening! As the four dumbfounded students made their way onto the edge of the cleaning, Amycus could barely contain himself. Who cared where his sister was; it was her own fault for missing out on this amazing experience. He could feel the excitement radiate off the two other students surrounding him and Amycus licked his lips, waiting for one of the stupid kids to put one more foot into the clearing...
"Yes," he whispered, his eyes lighting up in delight. Marlene McKinnon, the blood traitor, was the first out into the clearing and Amycus wasted no time at all. "No!" he heard Evan roar from beside him but Amycus didn't care. Revealing their position, Amycus burst out from the bushes and brandished his wand at McKinnon. "Crucio!" Amycus roared, sending Marlene to her knees, shrieking in pain like nothing he had ever heard in his fifteen years of existence.
Perhaps it was because Amycus wanted it so badly, or because he was getting high off the sounds of McKinnon in pain, Amycus cackled with laughter. "You filthy blood-traitor!" he roared as the unforgivable curse stopped, leaving Marlene sobbing in pain down on the dirt floor of the Forest. Screwing up his face into something unrecognisable, Amycus kicked Marlene in the stomach and spat on her. "Take that!"
But before he could do anything else, Amycus was hit square in the back with an Impedimenta hex, and he, too, fell to the forest floor in a shriek of pain.

THIS IS THE END. "No!" Evan roared as he moved to grab the back of Amycus' cloak, his fingers wrapping around thin air. What the bloody hell was Carrow doing, giving away their position! Snarling, Evan had no choice but to chase after the half-wit and second him in the case of a duel. Amycus had clearly gone for Marlene McKinnon, but all Evan could think about were the other three mudbloods and blood-traitors and what their reactions were going to be.
A bloodcurdling scream ripped through the silence. Amycus started to cackle with glee and Evan, who was standing behind the boy and to his right, raised his wand in the direction of Emily Prescott, hurling an Impedimenta jinx her way. At least that would take her out of the question for another half a minute or so. Amycus roared at the broken girl on the ground as he kicked her stomach and Evan barely had any time to get over to him as a spell hit Amycus square in the back. Snarling through clenched teeth, Evan turned to face the spell-caster with a look of malice upon his distorted face.

I SEE THAT THERE IS EVIL AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS GOOD "Hagrid should be around here somewh -" There was no time for Marlene to finish her sentence. She fell to the forest floor and let out a bloodcurling scream. She couldn't think; she could barely breathe. It felt as if her skin was boiling, bubbling and popping all in one - it was more pain that she had ever experienced, or ever wished to experience in the rest of her life. Her whole body was burning, on fire, and Marlene was helpless to protect herself.
All of a sudden, the feeling stopped, and Marley was left panting and gasping for air on the ground. Her vision was blurred, but she could make out a faint figure standing above her. She could faintly hear people talking - no, yelling - above her, but she was too exhausted to reply. The figure moved closer, and Marlene started to sob. What was happening to her? Where was Hagrid?
The shadowy figure started to kick her; was she being robbed? She started to cough, and all she could see on the ground were splutters of blood. She struggled to look upwards, trying to see who her attacker was, but it was no use. The person was covered in black and with Marlene's dodgy vision on top of that, she had no clue. She lay there, still, hoping that the pain would stop.
