Who's your favorite and why? And if it's changed over the years, then tell us about those too!

Originally it was Hermione, but after the second book (I think) my favorite characters became Fred and George, with Peeves coming in a close second. Honestly, I really didn't like Ron, but I was kind of able to ignore my dislike of him because I loved his family so much. Well, Percy excluded. xD

[James Potter]

I started off obsessed with Tonks. And I mean OBSESSED. Like crazy over the top obsessed to the point where:

• I ranted for about three hours straight about how much i hated Anna Friel for the photo she posted of her dressed up as Tonks because she wanted to be her in the 5th movie
  
• I proclaimed Natalia Tena my all time favorite actress and watched pretty much every movie I could get my hands on with her in, denying the whole time that actually, she's not that great
  
• I went through books 5-7 and wrote down EVERY line that Tonks said
  
• I memorized page 582 (i cant still remember the page number O.o ) because it was the page with Tonks and Remus arguing about being/not being together, just after Bill had been attacked and Fleur said she love him anyway and... yeah. Basically.
  
• I read so much Remus/Tonks fanfiction it was insane. Image the size of a guys folder of bookmarked porn. Now image that huuuuuge list of links was all Remus/Tonks fanfics? Yeah. It was a LOT of porn fanfics!
  
• I had to wait 3 weeks to read the end of the 7th Harry Potter book because I cried and threw it out of a window in the pouring rain when I found out that Remus and Tonks both died. I sobbed for hours...
  

ANYWAY! Now that obsession has well and truly calmed down, I'm pretty much a huuuuge fan of James Potter (wouldn't ya know?) and Charlie Weasley. Though, aside from never being able to get them out of my head and spending the majority of my time alone pretending to live in the lives of fictional characters, I'm no where near as crazy over either of them as I was with Tonks. Nowhere near.

I love Lupin. He is by far, one of my favorite characters. MY favorite female would be Luna. She makes me smile all the time ^^

Him and Trevor were my favourites right from the getgo, then he became the most badass MOFO int he world.

Trevor/Umbridge fanfic is forever burnt into my eyelids, bro. And its all your fault

Lot of people have said lots of good things: Remus, Luna, Neville - all favourites of mine.

Also Mad-Eye for awesomeness and Hufflepuff house for being super-mega fantastic (I am a Slytherpuff. Exactly what is that supposed to say about my personality. HOW ARE THEY COMPATIBLE?!)

Oh, and Lockhart for all the lols.

YEAH

one time when I was in year 7 (Luke and I had just become friends - this was what... 6 years ago now? 7? COUNTING MATHS WAS NEVER MY STRONG POINT) I wrote a Trevor/Umbridge fanfic because I loved the description that Umbridge looked like a toad. So, voila, Trevor/Umbridge was my first OTP.

BUT YEAH Neville. What a badass. I called it right from the start.

Origionally it was Neville.

Right up until we met Luna Lovegood and she became the ultimate favorite for me!

Well, I started out loving Hermione, and she's still kind of my hero.
For a long time I would have said harry potter was my favroite , go figure.
I definitely had Neville period, and in some ways he still my favorite because he has the coolest character arch ever.

But my All-time favorite is Kingsley Shacklebolt, because in the 7th book he was the first person to outright say "muggles and Wizards/witches are equal* I have this obsession with books that portray normal people as being hero's without giving the magic or super powers to make them awesome... Anyway that's my story.

My favorite, Favorite...oh Goddess it's too much to name....so let's not even go there. I liked Hermione to a point BUT...I would say my all time favorite girl/female...has to be Tonks...and my male respectively Lupin and Madeye....Kinglsey is a close second on that male list...yes I know what you mean about the being equal speech.
