So, Aly and I realized last night that it's canon for Remus and James to have March birthdays, and I made Sirius have a March birthday, too. Totally accidental, I swear, but now that it's so... I do believe this means they need to have a BIRTHDAY MONTH. Always capitalized, of course, because our marauders are as obnoxious as possible about it.
Some things that BIRTHDAY MONTH typically includes...
1. The others insist that Peter's birthday is also in March, and celebrate accordingly. They don't like it when people challenge that, and insist that no one can know when Peter was born because no one was there, and maybe his mum was a liar, hmmmmm?
2. Anyone else with a birthday in March gets to be an honorary member of birthday month, which just means they share their alcohol with them, bring them cake from the kitchens, birthday prank them.
3. It's literally a month long event for the boys, and they use it as an excuse to be more ridiculous than usual. It's not uncommon for Sirius to tell a professor that he didn't complete his homework because it's birthday month. Or sit in the common room and tell girls entering that because it's birthday month they have to pick someone to snog as an entrance fee. James always charms the house elves into serving cake at dinner, which annoys the professors of course.
4. They party it up all month long, and make special trips to Hogsmeade for firewhiskey and such, this usually results in trashing the common room and other mayhem.
5. They heckle Slytherins more than usual because, hey, birthday month! Sirius typically shows up at quidditch matches to tell the other team to go home because Gryffindor can't lose during birthday month. This is actually not at all different from the other 11 months, just more special because it's March, haha.
6. Birthday month always, always ends with a ridiculous amount of detentions because they're obnoxious prats all month long. They, naturally, celebrate the marauder with the most detentions with a party.
So, uh, come be a part of BIRTHDAY MONTH! <3

Well, none of my characters are born in March except for Amycus - so, feel free to hex the bejesus out of him.
