Blake was bored. All his classes were finished for the day, and he sure as hell wasn't about to sit down and do class assignments. Where was everyone though? When he had left his common room there was no one of note to be seen. Now he was wondering around the first floor, the dung bombs he possessed burning a hole in his pocket. Everyone knows the best thing to do when you're bored is to cause a little mischief, right? Now to find the perfect place to set them off. Close to a classroom maybe?
He turned a corner and took in his surrounding. The hallway he was standing in was empty, and there really hadn't been anyone around before he turned down this way. Shrugging to himself he pulled the dung bombs from his pocket. This was as good a place as any he guessed. He grinned to himself and then gave them a toss down the hallway he had just come from. The only thing visible being the hand that threw the bombs.
Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he heard a disgruntled voice and someone start to pick up their pace. He knew that voice, it was Filch. Bloody hell, where had he come from? Blake's eyes widened as he looked around for a place to hide. Not far off was a broom closet, he dashed for it so fast he didn't even notice the person standing by the door until he was right up on them. In his moment of panic he grabbed the person and put a hand over their mouth to keep them quite as he pulled them both into the closet.
He heard Filch run past the door and on to another hallway. He relaxed, and then seemed to realize that he was still holding whoever he had pulled in with him, his hand still covering their mouth. He then let go of the person so fast you'd think there skin was on fire. What was he thinking pulling some random person into a broom closet? "So sorry." He tried to stammer an apology before he got hexed. "I was only trying to hide from Filch. Didn't intend to pull you in with me."
It was so dark in the room he couldn't even make out who it was. He reached for the door knob, in a hurry to get out and see who he had pulled in, but the bloody door wouldn't budge. "Merlin's beard! You have got to be kidding me." He said through his teeth, his voice that of frustration. He pulled out his wand then, lighting the tip of it so he could see who he was stuck in here with.

glaciers melting in the - - - * * DEAD OF NIGHT[/sup] Early evening found Bellatrix Black wandering aimlessly along the first floor corridor. She had no particular destination in mind, nor any particular reason to be wandering around in this part of the castle. In fairness, she had taken the chance to escape from the Slytherin common room. A rather large argument had broken out only half an hour earlier between a group of fourth year girls about a pair of shoes. A pair of shoes. It was no wonder Bella often despaired about the younger Slytherin years. And to think there was supposed to be potential future Death Eaters amongst them. But nevertheless, they were Slytherins, and even stupid arguments such as this one could turn nasty. She’d quickly abandoned the common room to avoid trouble. The last thing she needed was more detentions.
It was with great surprise that within a second, Bellatrix found herself being dragged off to one side, with a stranger’s hand over her mouth. Her reflexes were normally brilliant, but the shock of being grabbed in such a manner threw her for several seconds. She struggled viciously; fully aware of the fact she was being dragged into a closet. She continued to fight the person that had a hold of her, but whoever it was, there were tall and very strong indeed. But who did they think they were? Dragging Bellatrix Black into a closet? It really wasn’t the done thing. She continued struggling; trying to make some sort of noise, but the hand covering her mouth pretty much blocked any sound she attempted to make. In fact, she had half a mind to try and bite the hand currently situated over her mouth.
As suddenly as she had been grabbed, the person holding her let go. She spun around to face her attacker, reaching for her wand as she did so. Only it wasn’t there. Her heart sank in the split second she worked out that her wand must have fallen on the floor when she was pulled into the closet. It was far too dark to look for it at the minute; in fact, she could barely even make out the outline of the other person in the closet. “You put your hands on me once more, and I promise you’ll regret it.” She snapped, taking a step backwards away from the person who was now cautiously trying to apologise.
The first thing on Bellatrix’s list was to get out of this closet. Then find her wand. Then hex whoever had pulled her in here. In that order. She heard the unmistakeable signs of the door refusing to open. Before she had time to consider the fact she was trapped, she was suddenly able to see who was standing in front of her. Blake Hollow. Fantastic. Just wait until she found her wand. “You have got to be joking. Unlock that door right now Hollow, I’m not spending another second in this cupboard with you of all people.” She said rudely. But then again, politeness was never really Bellatrix’s strong point.

Of all the people in this bloody castle he could have pulled in here with him; it had to be Bellatrix Black. He had the sudden urge to start banging his head against the wall. Sure, the girl was gorgeous, but she was a bloody pain in his arse. Whatever Filch had planned on doing to him couldn't be as bad as being stuck in here with her. He was surprised she hadn't hexed him yet.
Blake turned back to the door and started working the knob again, not really expecting a different result, but hoping for one all the same. He rolled his eyes with his back to Bellatrix as he finally gave up trying to man handle the door, that obviously wasn't doing any good.
"Bella love," he said, turning to face her as he flashed his most charming grin her way. "I would love nothing more than to give you what you want, but we both know that isn't getting out of here, is it? You've finally got me where you've always wanted me." He said this in a way that implied she had been the one to pull him in. Then he kissed the air in her direction so there would be no confusion in the meaning of his words.
He turned slightly towered the door again, but kept an eye on Bellatrix as well, just in case his comment was enough to send her over the edge and hex him. He tried a few spells to get the door open, but nothing worked. At this point he was pretty sure he knew what was going on. "And just in case you're thinking about hexing me, since it seems to be your way of showing me just how much you care, let me explain something first. I'm pretty sure there has been a jinx on this door to where it can only be opened from the outside. Probably someone hoping to lock Filch in here. So unless you think you can get away with hexing me, and however many people are there when someone lets us out, I wouldn't risk it, love. It would be just awful if you got expelled." Blake looked Bellatrix in the eye, his grin turning devilish, and his eyebrows moved up and down a few time.
Yes, he was threatening her, and could only hope that she wanted to stay in school more than she wanted to hurt him. They both knew how much the professors here hated her, and were probably looking for any reason to expel her. He was willing to bet that if they were to find out it was just him and her in here, and he was hexed or tortured, they'd have enough of a reason to expel her.
He looked her up and down as he took a step closer to her, trying his best to get under her skin. "We should make the best of our time in here while we wait for someone to let us out." He lifted his hand up to her face, brushing his fingers across her cheek to tuck her hair behind her ear. It really was a shame she was such an awful person, because she really was beautiful.

glaciers melting in the - - - * * DEAD OF NIGHT[/sup] If she had of known this was coming, she would have definitely stayed in the Slytherin common room. As far as she was concerned, listening to fourth years argue over shoes was almost inviting compared to this. Yes, the sixteen year old was good looking, which was always a positive. Yes, he was arrogant, a trait which tended to make Bella fall head over heels. But he was a Gryffindor, and not only that, but he was a half blood as well.
She narrowed her eyes as he started to speak. Was he actually suggesting that she had been the one to cause this scenario? The idea that she would want to be trapped in here with him was absolutely ludicrous. She glanced around at her surroundings quickly and spotted a large box, big enough for several people to sit on. She took a step towards it and sat down, her annoyance clearly displayed as she crossed her arms tightly across her chest. It was taking a lot of her self control not to respond, but the idea was that he’d quickly get bored if she didn’t dignify him with a response.
Spotting her wand on the floor, she quickly picked it up. She quickly stood to face Blake, her wand pointed at his chest. Her heart sunk as his words slowly started to make sense. He was right. If she so much as cast a single hex on him she could be expelled. If a Professor found the two of them locked in a cupboard, of course they would assume it was her doing. After all, what Professor would believe Bellatrix Black over Blake Hollow? She’d be out of the school before she could utter a single word; she was already on her last chance after landing a third year in the Hospital Wing.
She watched him suspiciously as he stepped closer to her. She almost instinctively took a step backwards, but caught herself just in time. The last thing she need was to make herself look as if she was wary of him. Not that she was of course. It was just that she wasn’t used to Gryffindors threatening her and not being able to do anything about it. Normally she’d curse anybody that made any form of threat towards her. But in this situation she couldn’t do that, and to be honest, Bella had absolutely no idea how to respond.
Her eyes closed briefly at his touch. It was only for a fraction of a second, but she was almost certain he would have noticed it. It was complete instinct, she couldn’t help it. “I believe I’ve already warned you about placing your hands on me today Hollow, I do not like to repeat myself,” she said viciously. She was still feeling at a slight disadvantage in the situation because of how she reacted to his touch, and it seemed she was compensating for that fact, by adding extra venom into her tone, “Believe me, my friends are not the kind of people you’d like to meet in an empty corridor.” Bella left the threat hanging in the air as she turned away.
However, some sort of gut feeling told Bella that she hadn’t done enough. Maybe it was just a natural instinct, or maybe she had been dealing with Gryffindors for far too long. Either way, as soon as she’d spoken, she knew her words wouldn’t be enough. They never were with these cocky Gryffindors. Time to change tactics. She stepped towards Blake, so the distance between them was minimal. She placed her lips close to his ear pressing her body against his, “Forget what I just said. You're right, we may as well use this time to our advantage. But first, I have a question for you Blake,” she spoke softly, her voice only just louder than a whisper. The use of his first name felt foreign in her mouth. “Tell me, what happens if I don’t care if I’m expelled?”

The smuggest of grins light up Blake's face as he saw her reaction to his touch. It lasted a little less than a second, but it was there. She liked it when he touched her, no matter what she thought of him. Blake had never actually touched her before, it would have never been permitted by her, or any of her comrades; so he was rather surprised by her reaction, but very pleased to say the least.
Things were different in here, he felt more in control than he ever had before. It was giving him a sort of high, and he liked it. Sure, he was most defiantly going to pay for this later, but at the moment he simply didn't care. He loved to make her squirm. Loved knowing that he was able too. Her words only made his grin a little wider. "Funny, because your face tells a different story."
His grin promptly left his face; however, as she started talking about her friends. The things that they did, that she did, it was enough to make any moral persons stomach turn. He couldn't show her his unease though, he would lose everything he had managed to gain so far. "Your friends are never pleasant to meet anywhere. I don't see how that's relevant at the moment though, my dear." He said it as though it was of know concern to him, when in all actuality the thought greatly disturbed him. It just didn't matter now, no matter how he proceeded with things whatever was going to happen, was going to happen. Even if he did back off right now - which he would never do - he would be punished regardless. So why even worry about it?
What was she doing now? Blake froze as she closed the distance between them and pressed her body against his, he stood rigid for only a moment as she started to whisper in his ear. He forced himself to relax against her, but couldn't stop his breathing from coming out a tiny bit faster. Whether it was because he was uneasy, or his body's reaction to her body, he couldn't be sure. He didn't know what game she was playing at now, all he knew was that there was no backing down. He didn't think she would dare go any further than this.
It was almost a relief when she got to her point. That he understood, but the physical part with her was new. He was able to relax even more, and even put his smug grin back on his face. Now that he knew her game, he could play back. He put one arm around her waist, his hand still griping his wand, with his other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a shiny silver flask. The great thing about it was that it shrank when in his pocket, but once pulled out became full size once more. He unscrewed the top, and the smell of the fire whiskey was very potent in the small space. "Bottoms up I guess then, love."
He was calling her bluff, but still had his wand in hand, and was prepared to protect himself if need be. He lifted the flask to his lips and took a deep drag, then leaned his face so close to hers there lips were almost touching. "Want some?" He asked her, leaving her to determine if he was talking about himself, or the flask he held in his hand.

glaciers melting in the - - - * * DEAD OF NIGHT[/sup] The determination to wipe that smug grin off Blake’s face was growing stronger by the minute. It was always the same with these Gryffindors. They seemed to spend a large majority of their time here at Hogwarts strutting around like they owned the place. Worse still was the arrogant smirk they all seemed to have mastered, and the superior attitude they carried, thinking that everybody would just fall at their feet.
Although Bella’s anger with Blake was rising, her anger directed towards herself was far greater. Why did she have to react that like to his touch? It would have only taken a tiny amount of extra self-control to stop herself, but no, she had reacted like that, and now he was more than aware he had an advantage over her. Damn it.
Self-control in check this time, her face showed no degree of surprise at his next comment. Although, it had to be admitted, that was a response she did not expect. A threat involving her Slytherin housemates always worked. Always. There was no way any student in Hogwarts wouldn’t feel at least slightly unnerved by a threat involving the Slytherins that were suspected of being Death Eaters. Blake was most definitely bluffing. Time to lay it on thick. Bella smirked, “Well let’s get one thing straight, it won’t be long before they come looking for me.” Of course, that was a downright lie. Her dorm mates couldn’t care less where she was, most of the time she barely slept in the dormitory, and her other friends were far too used to her sneaking out of the castle to visit the Dark Lord for hours at a time to worry about where she was now. But Blake didn’t know that.
Bella was barely able to conceal her satisfaction when Blake froze in response to her moments. A least she had gained some degree of advantage over him, however small and insignificant it might be. But before she could properly gloat, the smug grin was back again and his arms were around her waist. There was no denying it, he was good, and there was no doubt he was winning this game they were playing. And if there was one Bella Black hated more than anything, it was losing.
The smell of firewhisky was strong in the small space they had available. It smelt good. Really good in fact. But there was no way she was going to drink alcohol in this situation. Alcohol always lowered her inhibitions considerably, and in this case, she wanted to keep them as they were. “Drinking underage are we Hollow? I’d never have guessed you’d be so willing . . . to break the rules.” she whispered. She tried to inject sarcasm into her voice, a desperate attempt at returning to her usual derisive way of speaking. It failed. Blake had her well out of her comfort zone, and he knew that. But she was not going to be the first to give up.
His face was so close now. Her heart rate sped up considerably as she briefly considered her next move. She roughly grabbed the front of his robes and pushed him back against the wall of the cupboard, taking a step towards him to close the distance again. “Finally. I thought you’d never ask.” She whispered allowing her lips to graze his ever so gently. Surely he had to back down soon? She wasn’t sure how much further she could go, the urge to push Blake away from her was growing.

Blake couldn't shake the chills that ran up his body when she mentioned her friends finding them; but he didn't let it show on his face that he was the least bit concerned. If he showed that he was the slightest bit afraid then she would have the upper hand, and that would be way to dangerous. He knew what her friends were capable of, and no matter how well he fought the likelihood of him taking them all down was slim to none. Any sane person would be afraid, no matter how brave they were. "Well if they find us, they find us." He said with a shrug. "Guess we'll just have to see what happens then, wont we?" He gave her a lop sided grin, not letting any of his concern show through.
Her comment about him breaking rules make him chuckle a bit. Wasn't that the reason they were in here? The burn of the firewhisky was soothing in a way it really shouldn't be. He welcomed the burn at the moment though, he could feel it warm his whole body. "Learn something new every day sweet heart." He smirked before taking another sip.
Her next move stunned him. At first he thought she was going to punch him, or something of the like. Her words took a moment to sink in as her lips touched his lightly. How to handle this. The thought of kissing her knowing all the horrid things she had done repulsed him, but he could not -- would not be the first one to back down. "As you wish, love." He put the flask down on something next to him, then pulled her body snug to his, and trying to think as little as he could about what he was doing, he let his lips fall onto hers.
It only took a moment for his mind to go blank, and he let himself forget about how deep his dislike for her ran. He wasn't gentle with his kiss, he was rough and demanding. Blake was very skillful when it came to snogging. He could normally get the response that he wanted.
He wasn't even sure how long his lips had been connected to hers, all he knew was he would not be the first one to pull back. Truth be told, he couldn't make himself want to pull away from her right now. He had given his mind over to his body, and his body liked what was happening...

glaciers melting in the - - - * * DEAD OF NIGHT[/sup] It was not clear as to what Bellatrix had been expecting when she pressed her lips to his. Whatever she had desired, she had certainly not expected this. She heard the flask being set down, which should have been enough warning in itself. She barely reacted as he pulled her body even closer to his; it wasn’t as if they hadn’t been this close just a few moments ago. But what she was not expecting was to feel his lips on her, this time of his own doing.
His kiss was rough and demanding, but she had expected nothing less. After all, this was a game they were playing, and his kiss just screamed that he was in control. Something which she wasn’t particularly fond of. As much as she tried to deny it to herself, she couldn’t . . . he was good. Bellatrix felt her body relax into his as she kissed him back. She was equally as forceful in her kiss, in an unconscious effort to exert her dominance in the situation. Her arms found themselves wrapped around his neck, adrenaline flooding through her body.
It was at that point she became painfully aware she was kissing Blake Hollow. Gryffindor. Half-blood. In a broom cupboard. She quickly pulled away, taking a step away for good measure. “What the hell do you think you’re doing Hollow?” It was by far one of her most hypocritical comments of the day. After all, technically it had been Bella that had initiated the kiss. But that fact wasn’t prominent in her mind at the current moment.
“You should count yourself very lucky that I don’t have my wand.” She snapped at Blake, her voice icy and cold. The panic was slowly beginning to set in. What would her friends say if they could see her now, her fellow Death Eaters? The fact that she had allowed herself to be so easily manipulated was more than disturbing to the seventeen year old Slytherin.
But the thing that was worrying her the most, more than anything, was the extent to which she had enjoyed that kiss.
