Chase wandered along the corridor until he could see the portrait of the Fat Lady in the distance. He didn't want to get too close and risk being seen by someone who would ask questions or start rumors. Whether that someone be a student or a protrait. Needless to say, the Fat Lady wasn't known for keeping her mouth shut. He tapped one foot impatiently as he waited for someone to appear. He needed to find a Gryffindor who was on their way into the common room. Preferably one who wouldn't blab. So... a younger student if there was one available. The week had passed slowly and Chase woke every day and sighed, knowing it still wasn't Friday. He had several ideas of what he wanted to do on this night but he had no idea where he wanted to go, but the astronomy tower was off limits. Then suddenly, Friday morning was upon and he realized he still hadn't told Emily where to meet him. He didn't know himself. So, the morning had been spent in a bit of a mad haze as he desperatly tried to think of something - somewhere. Trent had, around lunchtime, took pity on Chase and told him a great place to go on his 'mystery date'. To escape the barriage of questions about who he was supposed to be meeting that night, Chase had escaped to the place in question to complete his planning. Emily wanted to keep things quiet between then, and he was going to keep his mouth shut. Now, it was finally time to set his plan into action. He just needed a Gryffindor to hurry up and come along. As the thought passed through his mind for the umpteenth time his wish was granted. A head of wild hair was headed towards him and he could see the red and gold stripes on her robes. Something about her looked familiar but he couldn't place it until she was close. Lachie and Trent knew her - the fourth year girl who couldn't do transfiguration for sh*t. Was she a safe option to give his note to? She'd have to be. As she got nearer he stepped out from his hiding place and stepped into her path. "Yeah... um... Lachie's friend? Sorry. I forgot your name." He grinned. "I don't suppose you can help me out with something, can you?"(Sorry it's so awful D: )

It had been another long day of double period lessons, but the day picked up with Care of Magical Creatures at the end of it. Her favorite lesson of all. Usually, she would have stayed an extra few hours on a Friday evening to do extra credit work and to help out with whatever was going on, but, the weather had taken a turn for the worst and Leander had no choice but to head inside.
She'd been planning on spending the evening in the library but her head wasn't in it, so back to the common room she headed. She was so completely absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't pay the foggiest bit of attention to her surroundings. So she wasn't expecting a body to appear suddenly in front of her.
She jumped backwards, hand ready to fly to her wand if it was a Slytherin or someone attacking her. Leander might not be big in the gossip circles, but she'd heard enough of the stories going around to know that things had been going on. Her run ins with Bellatrix left her shaken as well.
Thankfully, she realized she wasn't being attacked before she pulled her wand and recognised the familiar yellow of a Hufflepuff. For several seconds she struggled to understand what he was saying. Her mind got a little caught off at being refered to as 'Lachie's friend'. That wasn't something she'd expected to hear. So... this must be one of Lachie and Trents roommates. Her mind raced through names and conversations trying to think who this could be. Nothing came to mind.
"Help out how?" She was sure her reluctance was clear in her voice. After her last 'help a fellow student' she wasn't overly keen to do it again.

Chase laughed. "Don't worry, hun. It's nothing bad." He'd never heard anyne sound so reluctant before. "Do you know who Emily Prescott is? She's 5th year. Your house."
What did he do if she didn't know who he meant? Wait? How long for?
"Any way, all I need is for someone to give her this note. ASAP." He held it up in front of him so she could see it was just a small square of folded parchment. "Think you can help?"

Emily Prescott. The name sounded familiar. Wasn't she the one that had been attacked? Leander was pretty sure that she'd heard that name before. If it was who she thought it was, then she did know who he meant. There'd been loads of whispering and pointing over the past week and a bit she'd been back, and even now it wasn't completely over. Leander nodded. "Yeah, I know who she is. I'll find her."She wasn't really in the mood for dragging out the conversation so reached out to take the note. TO be completely honest, she was feeling a little unwell today. All she really wanted was to go and lie down for a while. With a final nod at his thanks, she slipped past him towards her common room. She was slightly surprised at how well she'd reacted around someone new - and older and male and taller and... whatever. Perhaps it was just because she wasn't feeling well. Or maybe it was because she was slightly used to it with knowing Lachie and Trent? Or maybe it was just down to escaping a confrontation with Bellatrix unhexed and unscarred. Whatever the reason, she noted it. Heading inside she glanced around the room. She couldn't see the girl she was looking for anywhere. Leander hoped she was here somewhere because she certainly wasn't feeling up to running around the school to find a girl to pass on a note from some guy. What was it about anyway? The piece of parchment was just folded in half as it flipped open easily. It read: Emily,
Mars is bright tonight.
Chase x What on earth was that all about? Leander just shook her head and closed it over again. Chase? Maybe she had heard his name mentioned before. Maybe she's ask Lachie or Trent about it if she saw him again. Heading up the stairs to the girls dorms she stopped outside the 5th year dorm and knocked, waiting several seconds before pushing the door open slightly and peering in. She could see only one girl in the room who was sitting on the window ledge staring out. Wasn't that who she was looking for? "Emily? I have a note for you..."OOC: Sorry Nat! I'm sh*t stirring a little =P Enjoy your trail to find Chase! In your reply, say where you think that the message is leading her and if you're right I'll post the next bit in that place. Fun fun ;]

Emily tugged her legs beneath her as she sunk deeper into the cushions scattered along the window ledge. Biting down on her lip as she read the book resting neatly on her lap. Hogwarts: A History...again, but in Emily's defence it was the newest updated version...a lot more shinier than her old copy. The common room was the perfect for reading tonight, being a Friday it was fairly empty, with everyone off doing their own thing.
As she turned the page and settled into reading, a figure stopped in front of her. Frowning Emily looked up in time to see a girl she knew to be a fourth year, holding out a note to her. It took a few blank moments but soon enough the name came to her, and Emily smiled softly, accepting the outstretched note. "Thank you...Leander right?" she asked, looking up at the red headed girl as she placed the note ontop of her book.
"Yeah...and your welcome." Leander replied quietly, shooting Emily a small smile, offering her a slight wave as she turned on her heel, leaving the blonde haired girl staring after her.
Smiling slightly, Emily looked down at the note on her lap, wondering who it could be for a brief second before she finally opened it. A slow smile spread over her pretty face as she read the words, "Mars is bright tonight?" she whispered quietly to herself, shaking her head as she looked up.
It took her mind a few moments to work out the small riddle as she was too busy feeling relief that Chase had finally gotten in touch with her. It had been a long week and he'd not been in touch over the date, part of Emily had accepted that maybe it just wasn't happening...yet here it was, apparently still on and she felt insanely happy over the fact...and that surprised Emily greatly.
Biting down on her lip, she looked back down to the note, her brow furrowing as she read the words again before a slow smile spread across her face once more and she quickly got up. Tucking her book beneath her arm, Emily hurried up the steps to her room, to change out of her lounge clothes, having figured out where Chase wanted to meet her...
Of course it was the Astronomy Tower...
