in-depth appearance:
Thankfully everything else seemed to reflect her mother in some way. Her slanting, molten gold eyes for instance are something still envied by her girlfriends. With such long, curling lashes she doesn’t bother with mascara and it is often said they’re reminiscent of a doll’s. Unfortunately it’s as though anyone can guess what she’s feeling at any moment, as they can darken quickly when she’s upset and become an almost copper colour when she’s giddy. Her chin and jawline are feminine angles that do well to contour the rest of her face. Paired with high, arching cheekbones and delicate pink lips … they polish off a simple but nevertheless pretty face.
Her height and weight are the healthy average of young women her age, and she strives to keep it that way. With an abnormally fast metabolism however, sometimes she has to resort to gorging herself on junk food to pack on a few pounds when she begins to lose some unintentionally. Otherwise her body is as shapely as one might expect of a developing lady with the right curves and dips in the right places. She finds her fingers to be unusually long and thin however, though her mother reassured her that they are ‘pianist’s hands’ and have the potential to make very elegant music. Even so, she’s self-conscious about both them and her legs … believing her legs to be much too skinny and cause her knees to stick out in a very ungainly and ungraceful way.
As for her manner of dress, that seems to be the most eccentric thing about her entire appearance aside from her smouldering eyes and thick raven hair. She favours bold colours and isn’t afraid to pair things that might initially seem like they’d match. She has a keen eye for fashion and challenges current trends. Her favourite jewellery of choice has always been a pearl necklace and earrings – a set she’d purchased for herself for her sixteenth birthday. Otherwise she isn’t a fan of lots of accessories and isn’t opposed to dressing more plainly from time to time when it suits her mood.
But red lipstick? It's certainly one make-up staple she can't live without.
Just don’t let slip to her father that she plays with Muggle make-up.

Controlled, disciplined and calculating are all qualities you'd expect a member of Slytherin to embody. In this sense, Vienne does not disappoint. Inherently sly and condescending, she reflects the aristocratic upbringing that most Pureblooded children are subjected to all their lives and - although some may eventually come to resent or reject it - Vienne has instead embraced the living standard she has been molded to fit and remains overtly pleased with both her individual self as well her accomplishments. At the very least, she acknowledges that she was born and bred for success and so takes advantage of the skills and knowledge she was equipped with, manipulating her environment and the people within it to achieve desired results. In this way, she maintains an extremely conceited and self-driven approach to things and will only act if she is certain the effort will benefit her directly in some way. Vienne has also proven that she is highly antagonistic and aggressive when confronted or challenged, and that her fierce temper is easily riled. Verbal insults meant to deter her only serve to further encourage her antics, as she draws amusement from those who believe they might have anything to say that would effectively hurt or demoralize her.in-depth personality:
But as vain and merciless in her intentions as she may seem, Vienne can also exhibit such tendencies as generosity, respect, humor and sincerity. Such instances may be rare, however she is still just an adolescent girl who enjoys lounging on the sofa with a novel or strolling through the streets of Hogsmeade with friends. In particular she has taken a keen interest in fashion and music, harboring a secret desire to learn to play an instrument and design jewelry. She also quite enjoys - much to the surprise of those around her - meaningless flings and will frequently engage in a bit of harmless flirting with anyone she is not immediately repulsed by. Because she lives such a lavish and unrestrained lifestyle, she throws away her sickles and galleons with reckless abandon, often purchasing luxurious gifts for those she thinks highly of without expecting anything in return. Her father often remarks that she should develop a better understanding of her finances, but his words remain wasted on deaf ears. At this point in her life she has absolutely no interest in pacing herself. Instead, she searches actively for sources of excitement and exhilaration, sometimes even making reckless decisions simply to see what sort of outcome would result from her actions. That being said, she is careful to project a responsible, reliable and courteous front when in school and in fact, she does an admirable job in keeping her grades amongst some of the most impressive in her year.
Not the brainiest by any means, Vienne instead seems to have adopted a unique social prowess and intellect that stems from neither textbooks nor lectures. All of her knowledge was taught by experience, while the rest lies in her natural talent and ability to learn quickly. She was also gifted with a remarkable long-term memory with which she can sustain small details for extensive periods of time. She is good with matching names to faces, which has resulted in someone who doesn't forgive and forget very easily. As for her thoughts on the impending war, she remains neutral and refuses to lend any faith to the participating sides. After all, she pledges no allegiance to anyone but herself, unable to rely on anyone or anything else but herself and what she is capable of.
All in all a formidable enemy to have, and a constant but unpredictable presence toward friends, Miss. Zabini has wasted no time in fostering quite a reputation for herself at Hogwarts. With an intense resolve, unwavering resilience and ambition, she is ready to graduate and take the wizarding world by storm. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
Sitting on the windowseat at home and watching the sunset, beautiful gardens, antique jewelry, playful debates, intelligent and witty men, silk and lace, spicy foods, quidditch, compliments and flattery, making others feel uncomfortable, firewhiskey, history of magic, lounging about the common room, catching someone in a lie, exotic clothing, visiting france, getting fancied up, muggle cosmetics, music and art, gossip, flying. [/blockquote][/blockquote]likes:
Loud, uncouth and obnoxious people, chauvinistic men, being treated like a child, criticism, feeling unproductive or restless, dull or drab colours, abiding by a set of rules, most gryffindors and hufflepuffs, hot sticky weather, divination, unorganized or sloppy people, those with no sense of personal hygiene, missing deadlines, being kept waiting, the word 'no', overly sweet food, house rivalries, having her time wasted, being interrupted or ignored, making mistakes and having to admit it afterward. [/blockquote][/blockquote]dislikes:
-------
boggart: Her father and his vile temper.
patronus: When incanted, manifests itself in the shape of a regal black panther.
mirror of erised: Becoming an integral member of the Ministry, specifically the Wizengamot, upon which her father currently sits.
wand:
Ten and a half inches, rosewood and imbued with demiguise hair. It once belonged to her great-grandmother, and was passed down to her as a sort of heirloom. She treasures it and considers it one of the more beautiful possessions she owns.-------
Strictly pureblood, and she'll be the first to attest to the fact that she has no Veela blood in her whatsoever. After all, she takes pride in the fact that her physical beauty is completely natural.[/blockquote][/blockquote]blood status:

■ ( MOTHER ) Marianne Zabini nee` Desrosiers - A French courtesan and renowned socialite, she'd resided with her mother and father in a close-knit wizarding district somewhere outside of Paris. They'd owned a sprawling estate in the countryside, laying claim to their fortune through old money and a vast array of influential contacts. Vienne's grandfather had been an art curator of sorts, restoring old magical artifacts and selling them to prestigious museums or handing them over to the Ministry in exchange for a set fee. His wife of course remained at home, where she raised two children - Marianne and her sister - though took a keen interest in gardening with which to occupy her spare time. Marianne herself became involved in wizarding fashion - much to her parents' chagrin - and was eventually dubbed one of the more prevalent style icons of that era. She fell in love with fellow aristocrat, Casimir, who in time became a renowned and popular politician. The two conceived Vienne, who was then constantly doted upon and groomed to become a fine, upstanding Pureblooded woman.
■ ( FATHER ) Casimir Zabini - Known now as a cutthroat politician and debonair, upperclass gentleman Casimir strikes an imposing figure in wizarding society, especially so amongst the Purebloods who have come to harbor a great respect for the Zabini name. Although not the most infamous, he certainly knows how to make an entrance and command the attention of those around him. He followed in his father's footsteps to secure a highly coveted position within the Ministry and has only managed to rise in rank since his arrival. He's married to Marianne Desrosiers, which shocked a great many people, considering his notable philandering in the past. Their union was a generally accepted one, both hailing from wealthy and productive families who played an active role in society for generations. To this day, he remains cordial but firm with his fellow Ministry workers and does not outwardly display any discriminatory or disagreeable opinion on Muggleborns. Despite this, he has brought his daughter Vienne up to discount them as true members of society and instead look upon them with disdain and constant scrutiny. He feels they cannot be trusted, but keeps his opinion - for the most part - to himself and has not expressed his affiliation in regards to the war.

in depth history:
Many people assume that being born a Pureblood in this day and age, means to be born into prestige, wealth and luxury. And while Vienne certainly isn't suffering from a lack of any of those things, it wasn't as effortless as it's made to seem by those who don't live by the same strict protocol or set of conditions. In fact, before Vienne was even brought into society there were certain expectations that she was meant to meet. Her existence was - quite simply - to embody perfection. A male heir to the Zabini fortune would have been preferable, but such things aren't as crucial now as they were thirty or forty years ago, and so Casimir was content with the news that he was to have a daughter. His goal was simple, to raise a respectable and obedient woman that he would then barter off to the highest bidder, and in doing so would effectively ensure that the Zabini lineage was carried on.
She was tutored privately from the time she was a toddler to the point she received her invitation to Hogwarts. Her days were filled with various lessons - both academic and domestic - with little time left to spare for play. She was even presented with her wand far before the moment she tapped into her innate magical capabilities, to get a feel for it, all in order to prematurely prepare her for career at school and then her integration into wizarding society upon graduation. There was always a constant pressure to exceed everyone's expectations and strive for the greatest possible outcomes. Failure was never an option, in fact, it was intolerable. Apologies were never accepted and excuses fell on deaf ears. Her purpose was to exhibit the ideal qualities of those of the upper-class, and hone her skills to become an influential member of society. An individual others would respect.
It may have been due to the fact that she wasn't necessarily mistreated, but Vienne was determined to make her father proud. The greatest fear she had was disappointing him and wasting all of the effort he had made to equip her for greatness. In school, she managed to achieve some of the highest grades of her year and received nothing but praise from her Professors. She maintained an eloquent and respectful disposition - amongst the staff at least - and became a relatively popular and admired student among her peers.
Now she, like the rest of the school's populace, awaits the commencement of the impending war amid ideas of a future career depending on the end result of the battle. Will there even be a society left for her to experience? All she can do now is wait, but feels confident that she'll succeed regardless.

Hey, I'm Claire, and I've been roleplaying for ten years.
roleplay sample:
Evonne Wright didn’t often feel flustered or anxious. In fact, she was normally the image of cool confidence and composure. However sitting in the Minister of Magic’s office after knowingly committing a rule-breaking infraction would be enough to put anyone on edge.
Hired by the Head of the MLE department only a few months previous meant that the young redhead was still on probation and could very well have had her position terminated without question. Fortunately, the right strings had been pulled by the right people, and she’d – albeit reluctantly – been spared. Someone had told her in passing that the Minister himself had a hand in her reprieve, so was that why she was sitting there in his office? What could he possibly have to say to her now? Unless he was expecting an elaborate ‘thank-you’ in the form of some exuberant grovelling.
Well, that certainly wasn’t going to happen.
It wasn’t as though she’d asked for his charity after all. What sort of rumours would begin to circulate once everyone discovered she’d been coddled and sent on her way, like a small child no one took very seriously. The thought alone caused her to flush a bright pink in embarrassment, hands fidgeting in her lap as she waited uncomfortably for the sound of the door opening. Even the sound of hurried footsteps outside the door was enough to have her breath catch in her chest.
It surprised her, how quickly she’d dissolved into a mindless wreck. Evonne wasn’t used to feeling so powerless and normally had an impressive arsenal of reassurances and justifications for her actions – as unconventional as they were. This time however, she wasn’t overly familiar with her surroundings, the exact protocol, or the person in charge that she would be speaking with. He was the Minister of Magic, and obviously – to some degree - a forgiving individual. But that was all she’d gathered on Nikolaus Shindler.
Strange. That name sounded familiar, beyond where she’d seen it in the press.
Casting her eyes in the direction of the large, polished desk in front of her; Evonne strove to turn her attention away from the stressful situation she was in and immediately noticed a display of papers fanned out beneath an ornate paperweight. It didn’t help relax her nerves however, as they proved to be her own personal record, biography and a report on the incident that she’d just been involved with. Most of it sounded fairly accurate, although cold and overly professional. In fact it almost sounded harsh, but she could only read a few sentences from where she was sitting and was not about to brave standing up and chancing the Minister coming in to see her rifling through his things.
Instead she recounted everything quietly in her head.
Mr. and Mrs. Toulson had recently lost their son, Christopher Toulson, in an unfortunate accident. He’d returned to his bachelor apartment after a long trip and that half of building was lost in a major explosion triggered by something in his room. She’d been assigned the task of accompanying a higher ranking Auror to see what they could find amongst the wreckage, but were not to question the Touslons so soon after their loss. Their privacy was not to breached. Their job alone had been to investigate the scene of Christopher’s death. However, the individual she’d been teamed up with was older and uninterested in the case. Where Evonne saw possible dark magical interference and murder, he saw only an accident … an ‘unfortunate natural mishap’ and eventually dismissed it as such before reassuring her there was nothing they could do and they should leave the parents in peace.
She had not been satisfied with that conclusion and – acting on her impatient, impulsive self – had gone to investigate further. She’d questioned the owner of Christopher’s building, scourged through the wreckage and even went so far as to approach the Toulson’s themselves. But before should could go any further, the head of her department intervened and ordered her back to the Ministry to await the consequences she’d need to face after breaching the agreement she’d initially made upon taking on the case.
And that’s when she’d ended up in the one office she’d wished to avoid at all costs.
Merlin help her.
