She is ‘ petite’ for her age and is known for her small hands and feet. She doesn't like to slump and keeps her back straight and chin up when she walks and when she sits (not that she’s being a stuck up). For clothes, she isn't too focused on “fashion” and wears what’s comfortable. At Hogwarts, she wears her uniform modestly—ironed and tucked in shirt, tightened tie, etc.—and she likes to wear skirts and in the winter time, she likes to wear knitted clothes like scarves, hats, and sweaters. and then a little about yourself likes: 1.] Family: Alice is very close with her family and sends letters every week from Hogwarts. Though she likes school, she always looks forward to the holidays when she can see her family. 2.] Friends: They’re like the closest thing to a family she has at Hogwarts. Her friends mean a lot to her and she wants to everything she can to make them smile. 3.] Frank L: She’s had a crush on him ever since 4th year, but she doesn’t know what to do without embarrassing herself. But she’s getting a little worried because she only has a year and a couple of months before they graduate!! 4.] Helping Others: Alice is used to being helpful as she was constantly helping her mother since she was young. She enjoys having people come to her for advice, homework questions, and test-studying assistant. 5.] Herbology: She loves plants and flowers. Alice has helped her mother with her garden as a little girl and that has made her love herbology. 6.] Other subjects: Charms & DADA. dislikes: 1.] Pureblood Elitism & Supremacy: Blood has nothing to do with magical ability, except blood that let you be a wizard/witch. Her cheeky warm smile can light up your dark heart...well, that’s what she hopes for anyways. She has a tendency to be like a big sister/mother among her friends, partly because she is the oldest in her siblings. Responsible is her middle name, next to helpful. Alice loves helping people with their homework or other problems. Her gentleness makes her a good listener and a good shoulder to cry on. However, people underestimate that this gentle, kind hearted witch has a bit of temper she has, like a little wasp. She can be stubborn and when she’s angered she’s like a firecracker and explodes. She will do anything for her friends and isn’t hesitant to go into a lecture about equality and fairness and bullying. With school, Alice is determined and works hard to get good marks in her school work, but she has a tendency to concentrate on the subjects she enjoys like Charms, Herbology, and DADA. She loathes Potions and gets frustrated with it, but like it or not, she must take it as it’s a required NEWT to become an auror, which is what she wants to be after Hogwarts. history your family and such .parents: David Logan: 50, Ministry Worker, Pureblood Joanne (nee: Philips) Logan: 46, stay home mother, Half-blood .siblings: Timothy 11, Clara 10, and Rose 7. .current residence: Castle Combe in Wiltshire, England overall history: Pre-Hogwarts: Alice grew up in a small comfortable village with her parents who were muggle lovers and exposed their daughter to the muggle children in the village. Throughout her childhood, Alice would play with her friends or help her mother with garden, which Alice loved. She loved the feeling of rich soil and planting all sorts of plants. After planting, she would sit by the planted ground and wait, thinking the flowers would pop up in a few minutes. The house became nosier when her siblings joined the family. Alice loved helping her mother take care and play with the young ones. When she was 11, she got a letter from Hogwarts and Alice was so excited. She had heard about Hogwarts from her parents and she was looking forward to going. The day before her departure, Alice was very nervous to leave her family and go to an unknown place all by herself. However, her parents assured her it would be fun and they would be able to send letters. Year One to Five: Her parents were right, Hogwarts was a fun place. Fun, may be a bit light, interesting…might be a better word. On her arrival, she sat on the stool and had the Sorting Hat whisper into her year that she definitely had the qualities of a Gryffindor and was placed in that house. She was welcomed warmly and made many friends. For classes, she right away fascinated with Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms and later on Herbology (second year). But she dreaded Potions and often found herself grabbing the hair on her head in frustration. Thankfully, she had friends who were good with that subject. In her fourth year, Alice found herself staring at her fellow Gryffindor Frank Longbottom in Charms. At first, she was confused and the more she thought about it she realized that she had developed a crush on him. However, she was too frightened to do anything, and she is still hiding her feelings while wishing to be with him. Year five, were the OWLs which meant lots of studying and homework. Alice was always running to the library and staying up late in the common room studying. During Christmas break when Mr. Logan invited a friend from the Ministry, an ex-auror, to their Christmas Eve dinner. Hearing stories about some of the work the auror had fascinated Alice and she began questioning him from training, to hours, to the requirements, to how dangerous the tasks were. The more she listened, the more she was hooked and decided then that she would become an auror; which was a pretty big decision and commitment. Presently: Alice is currently enjoying her second to last year at Hogwarts. She sometimes visits Professor Sprout as she has become close with her over the years. Professor Sprout continues to tell Alice how she wished she was in her house and Alice sweetly smiles back at her receiving the comment as a compliment. She still catches herself wishing hopelessly to be with Frank, though that wish is becoming bitter as the days go by. Cleaning the house, walking to the town, visiting the bookstore, coming back home, cooking, helping Father. It sounded dull, but Belle did not mind. Her mind was always occupied with wild imaginations she read from books about romantic castles, sailing around the world, wild natives on mysterious islands, and falling in love. She just sometimes wished there was more to life than this simple one she was living. Today was an unlucky day for Belle. New books had not arrived to the town bookstore, but that wasn’t the shopkeeper’s fault or anyone’s. She would just have to try tomorrow, and Belle was fine with that. In fact, her mind was already drifting away to a strange castle in the middle of a forest. She was imagining herself wearing a silk blue dress and dancing with the most handsome prince in the whole country. Without thinking, her feet started moving in dance steps and she started humming a waltz tune. When all of a sudden, wham! A food cart almost crashed into her. Belle’s face had an expression of bewilderment and it hit her that she was still in the little town on her way home. She helped pick up the food that feel on the ground and continued back to her little cottage. As she came closer, she heard strange noises from the cellar. “Oh Papa,” she said to herself, “what are you making now?” Belle loved her inventor papa very much and supported all of his new inventions with cheerful encouragements. Though he was getting old, he still kept his work going, which concerned Belle. She wanted her papa to do what he loved best, but she was also afraid that he was working too hard. There were days when she found him sleeping on the small stool, his head on the work table, and a tool he was last using still in his hand. |
