Paris was pretty glad she'd made the house Quidditch team. She'd been a little nervous about trying out but figured if she failed, she'd fail and that there was probably nothing more she could do because she'd just give 100% and then another 10% extra just to make sure she gave all she could and then pushed herself further and it paid off, she became the second beater on the team along side Sirius Black, she was just thankful James had been the captain this year because it was someone she'd known for six years now and had spent lessons with, knowing the captain made the try outs easier on her guts, they were less butterfly-like than they'd originally been.
Heading down to the pitch now on her broom Paris felt the wind in her hair, blowing it about behind her and the wind hitting her arms, leaving the red and a little sore. It was okay though, the cooler weather wasn't anything to worry about in Paris' opinion, it made for better practice considering the main season of Quidditch started in October, just as the really grizzly weather kicked up. Storms, torrential rain, tornado strength winds, yup it was all to come and Paris couldn't wait!
Arriving at the quidditch pitch she flew low to the ground and hopped off before her broom came to a complete stop, she was a little impatient from time to time, even with the little things. She headed to the closet where the balls were locked away and opened it up with a key she'd borrowed and then she pulled out the trunk the balls came in. She pulled them all the way out to just inside the pitch and opened it up. The Snitch was hidden behind the Hogwarts crest and the quaffle was in the middle, as still as it could be with two bludgers either side of it, struggling to get out of their restraints. Practice alone was going to be good though probably more fun with a helping hand.
Paris had a good practice, she'd only released one bludger to start with and then the second a little later, when she was more ready. She really got into the hang of it and flew hard, pushing her broom to its absolute limits and using her beaters bat to create absolute havoc with the bludgers on the pitch with magical floating targets to protect and different coloured ones to aim for. Her aim was pretty good, she hit seven out of ten but protected ten out of ten, something she was proud of, though she did take a few hits herself but that was why she practiced on her old broom, she'd be stuffed if she practiced on her new broom and broke it.
Heading down to the ground the bludgers followed and Paris quickly used her wand to put them both away, one immediately after the other. She was feeling hot in her black leather pants that kept the rain and cold away but a leather top would have been an inconvenience for playing so she just wore a Gryffindor red tank top and comfy bra to keep herself good and supported. She closed the case up and pulled it back over to the cupboard it belonged in and closed the door. She turned around and saw a figure on the pitch and furrowed her brow. It was nearly curfew, wasn't it? Who would be coming out here now?
