Chase had no choice but to watch as the curse, again, was aimed Emily's way. He wanted to scream out or do something, anything to stop what was happening, but he was unable to move at all, or do anything of his own free will. He couldn't see what Georgina had done to Emily's arm, but it didn't sound like anything good, and with that b*tch what good could happen? He had the feeling that things were going to get worse an worse as things went on. She wasn't finished yet, and that thought terrified him.
At her command, Chase headed over to where Emily lay and knelt down next to her, pressing her arm into the ground with force just as he was instructed to. He could see her skin bubbling and boiling under whatever it was that Georgina had put on her. Poison? What poison?
Chase was helpless to do anything but watch as Georgina carved letters into Emily's arm, and with every word she spoke, and every scream that tore from Emily's throat, the angrier he got and the more he hated everything. He was practically seeing red, and not just the blood on Emily's arm and face from where she'd bust her lip. Then, without warning, things got worse. "Finish it." No. Not this. Not to Emily.
But he didn't have a choice.
He took the wand and even as everything in his screamed at him to resist, he pressed the blade down deep into Emily's skin, carving the last letter. It stood out from the rest. Not Georgina's handwriting. His. It looked different. A constant reminder of his part in this.
Once it was done, Georgina poured the blood that split in gushes from her arm over her face and hair, covering Emily in her own blood. The marks on her arm looked deep and were bleeding far too much to be normal. They looked vein deep, but he didn't wnat to think about what that might mean. What Georgina had said with that last letter still rang in his mind. Die.
"You...you won't get away...with this..."
No. She wouldn't. He didn't know how, but he was going to make damn sure that she didn't get away with any of this.

Georgina watched as the blood poured over the Gryffindor's face and hair, no matter which way she turned away. When the girl tried to pull her arm free, Georgie loosened her grip, stepping back with a laugh, swinging the bladed wand around dangerously. "Oh please, sweetie. And how exactly are you planning to punish me? No one will believe you when you tell them it was me."
She stepped closer again. "You know why sweetheart? Because despite popular belief, I'm actually sitting, right now, watching quidditch. Don't you know?" Georgie smirked. There was someone there right then under a disguise to look just like georgie, and, using a nifty little voice modulating spell, sounding just like her too.
Georgie looked over at the Hufflepuff again and smirked, handing him the wand with the dagger end. Silently, she gave him a command and watched as he disappeared into the forest.
With a smirk, she looked down at the girl who leaned against a tree, cradling her blood soaked arm. "Now then, sweetheart. Let's have a little more fun while we wait for lover boy to get back, shall we?"
She pulled out her own wand and aimed it at the girl, wondering what she should do first. "Let's see... eenie, meenie, miny, mo..." What did she want to do? Part of her was tempted to leave more little cuts and stabs all over her, but did she really want to do that? She wanted something better than that. Something that would be remembered and that this girl wouldn't forget in a hurry. She wanted her begging for mercy. While she thought about what she really wanted to do, she aimed her wand and mutter a quick "Crucio."Hoping the girl's screams would inspire an idea in her.

Emily looked at Chase again, doing what she could to convey in her eyes that he wasn't to blame for any of this. She could see the strain on his face, the pain in his eyes at being helpless to stop anything he was being forced to do, but she didn't blame him. No, the thought to do so never even crossed her mind, all she wanted was him out of here and safe. It wasn't fair that he was sucked into this, first his Dad, and now him, all because of her, because of what she was he was being made to suffer. No. It wasn't fair and it broke her heart.
Georgina's laugh made her turn to the Slytherin, a look of pure, unadulterated hatred, shining brightly in her eyes. She really had thought of everything hadn't she. Emily felt that last shard of hope she had evaporate when the Slytherin told her that as far as anyone was concerned, Georgina was currently at the quidditch match. So the b***h was going to get away with this, there was no hope. Emily and Chase were going to suffer through all of this and there was no punishment at the end of it for Georgina, she was going to get away with it. After all who'd believe them? As far as the school, the students and Professors were aware, Georgina was with them now...
Emily closed her eyes, tears trailing down her cheeks as she shook her head. Hearing a rustle her eyes shot open as well, preparing herself for whatever Georgina had planned, only to watch as the Slytherin handed Chase the wand and he turned and disappeared into the forest. Emily's eyes widened, "Chase..." she called after him, turning her gaze onto Georgina, "Where did you send him...?" she asked, holding her arm up against her chest, as if trying to stem the blood loss, it was already weakening her already tired and almost broken body.
Georgina though, continued to taunt her, pulling out her own wand and aiming it towards Emily. The blonde tensed, her body trying to ready itself for whatever was next, though she knew no amount of preparation would prepare her for what Georgina had planned, it hadn't so far anyway. Taking a breath she steeled herself, sticking her chin out defiantely, glaring at Georgina as much as she could before that dreaded word was muttered and her body once again contorted in pure agony. Crying out, Emily screamed, her body seizing as the sensation of molten hot lava flooded through her veins, followed by the feeling of a thousand and one tiny little daggers stabbing her all over. Crying out again, she bit down on her lip, "Daddy..." the word slipped from her lips as images of her Mother and Father flooded her mind, would she ever see them again?

"Where did you send him...?"
Georgina smirked. "Oh, don't you worry about that, pumpkin. He's just gone for a little walk. He'll be back soon enough." With a little something to hand, hopefully. Well, that depended on whether he was a completely useless idiot or not. "But until then, we get to play."
Georgie paid no attention to the girl as she cast the curse on her, just thought about what she could do to have some more fun with her. The girl was hurt, sure, but she was still defiant, and that was something she was hoping to knock out of her yet. She heard her screams and smirked, but she wasn't expecting the word that followed. Scoffing, Georgina let the spell fall away. "Daddy? Oh how perfectly pathetic." She walked back and with a flick of her wand sent the girl flying upside down into the air, a simple levicorpus.
She looked the girl over as she stood there, eyes narrowing as an idea came to mind. "Have you ever heard of legilimency, sweetheart?" She didn't wait for an answer before going on. "It lets you into someone's head. You can find out all the juicy little details of what they love and hate the most... legilimens!"
It wasn't a spell that Georgie had much practice with, and she wasn't particularly good at it, but she refused to acknowledge failure of any sort, and was convinced that, with practice, she could perfect the spell. For now though, she would try her best with what she could do.
She slipped into the GRyffindor's mind with ease, but then trying to work her way around it was the hard part. They always said you had to do it carefully and with precision, but that wasn't Georgie's style. She tore through her mind, pushing things out of her way to find what she wanted. Eventually though, she found it. There was a little area in the back of her mind that was filled with all the little fears and phobias that this girl had, and Georgie tore through them, picking out the information she needed. That done. She broke the spell, leaving the girl's mind. She'd never quite figure out how to do it safely, and there was a sort of recoil from it that felt like daggers in her own head that made her hiss in pain, but she shook them off, knowing what she's gone to find out.
"I see..." She flicked her wand, watching the Gryffindor fall to the ground with a sickening crunch. A second flick of her wand followed, and the disillusionment charm that she'd cast on herself earlier could also be used on objects as she'd logn since found out, and that's exactly what she did in that moment. As she cast it, the trees around her appeared to morph, but only to her own, and the Gryffindor's vision. Well, Georgie could actually see both the trees and the illusion, but that wasn't the case for the girl. All she would see were the walls that Georgie had illusions surrounding her, pressing in from all sides, Georgie herself was not in the illusion, she was beyond it. The idea was that only the muggleborn would see the walls that were slowly but surely enclosing in on her, feeding off a fear that Georgie had discovered in her mind.
She stood smirking, watching the girl's reaction to the walls that were closing in on her, and then, when they were relatively close, Georgie made large cracks appear in the walls around the girl. For several long moments, nothing happened. Then it did.
Spiders. Hundreds of them.

Emily gasped for air as the spell once again was lifted, but paid no mind to Georgina's taunts on how pathetic she was. All she wanted right now was to be home, not in Hogwarts, safe at home with her Mum and Dad, oh how she prayed she got to see them again. What would they think...seeing her like this? It would kill her Dad she knew that much. She was roughly torn out of her thoughts though as she was flicked upside down. She cried out, the sudden movement was painful, felt in every cell in her body. The bleeding in her arm increased though, so she held it tighter to her chest, though she was feeling incredibly weak by this point.
"Have you ever heard of legilimency, sweetheart...It lets you into someone's head. You can find out all the juicy little details of what they love and hate the most... legilimens!"
Emily shook her head, closing her eyes to what she knew was coming. What hope did she have of fending off Georgina, and when the spell was cast and she felt the vile intrusion into her mind she cried out. There were no words to describe the sensation, but she could feel her inside there, trampling through her memories, thoughts, every second of it feeling like there were a thousand little needles penetrating her mind with a relentless force. Her head throbbed with an excruciating pain, and she could hear the thundering of her heart beat. After what felt like forever though Georgina was gone, Emily's eyes snapped open but her vision was dark, making her blind momentarily due to the unbelievable pain caused as Georgina simply ripped from her mind.
Part of her dreaded to see what Georgina had found in there, but the other part of her didn't care as she lifted her free hand to her head, pressing against her eyes, willing the pain to go away. No sooner had she done that though, the invisible binds holding her up released her and the blonde was sent hurtling to the forest floor. A sickening crunch echoed through the silence, and all the air rushed out of Emily's lungs winding her. Her collarbone shattered on impact with the floor, on the same side as the crude carving into her arm. Crying out she rolled onto her back, gasping, struggling to breath through the pain. Though as she did and she was finally able to breath through the agony, she caught site of what was happening around her and felt her heart stop and her panic go into overload.
The walls...walls that hadn't even been there before began closing in around her. Emily shook her head, somehow sitting up as she looked around wildly. Some part of her, some small part of her knew it was some kind of spell, an illusion after all she was in the forest, the ground was the same. However the larger part, the more broken, irrational, heartbroken and exhausted part was ready to accept what she was seeing, and that was the part that made her begin to panic. Shaking her head she looked around wildly, unable to move due to the painful throbbing happening all around her body. "No....no, no, no..." she shook her head again, feeling her panic getting out of control. Small spaces had never been something she could handle and this was by far turning out to be the worst, "No...please...please....please..."
Shaking her head again, Emily covered it with her one good arm, squeezing her eyes closed as she tried to curl in on herself, sheild herself. Screaming out she opened her eyes, the walls had stopped fairly close to her, gasping she looked around her eyes watering, the fear evident in her expression. Swallowing the lump in her throat she opened her mouth to call out to Georgina when the walls cracked, large cracks all around her. For what felt like an eternity nothing happened then something began crawling out the cracks. Emily screamed, sobbed and shook her head as she began to panic, almost out of control panic. Grabbing at her hair she kicked and tried to push them away, sobbing, "No please...stop it....STOP IT...PLEASE!" she screamed, smacking the spiders out of her hair, then from her face and away from her injured arm. They were everywhere and she was trapped, her breathing began to become erratic and squeezing her eyes closed she continued to cry, willing it all to stop.

Chase heard the command echo through his mind and without any control over his actions, he disappeared into the forest, his vision still blurred red with anger. God damn it! He didn't want to go and do this - he wanted to stay there where he could see Emily and what was happening to her. He wanted to know what that B*tch was doing to her. Sure, this meant that he couldn't actually be the one to do it to her, but it meant that Emily was completely on her own back there... not that he was doing any good to help her.
He walked further into the woods, the bladed wand held out in front of him. Blood ran down it and covered his hands. Emily's blood. Some of it spilled by him. He was guilty for the blood on his hands in that moment. How much more of this could she take? How far would Georgina go? Not that far he prayed.
His body reacted instinctively to a noise in the shrubs and he lunged, tearing through the undergrowth, slashing out with the blade. A squawk followed, along with a squirt of blood and a flurry of feathers. Dead. Simple. Its neck slit almost clean off. Chase pulled it out of the bushes watching helplessly as the blood poured over his hands, mixing with Emily's. He had no choice but to do as Georgina asked, no matter how much he hated it. Just as he crouched to follow with her task, something changed.
It felt like something suddenly flung out and hit him, knocking him to the ground. He inhaled sharply, shuddering as his mind seemed frozen in a moment of stabbing pain, and this time it was darkness that blurred with his vision. "F*ck!"
He froze. Did he actually say that, or was it all in his mind? He actually did say that out loud, right? His eyes remained closed as he instructed himself to lift his hand in front of his face. He almost didn't want to open his eyes in case it wasn't true. Did he even have control over his eyes? But... he did. His eyes opened. His hand was there... He was free! Georgina's curse was broken! He almost wanted to jump for joy, except there were other things on his mind in that moment. Emily, bloody and beaten on the forest floor came to his mind, and once again his vision threatened red.
He grabbed both the bladed wand and the pheasant that he'd killed and clamored to his feet, wasting no time before heading back in the direct that he'd come from, his mind intent on revenge.
A scream ripped through the night, muffled to how it should sound, but it was a scream non the less, and followed by begging and shouting, and the sound of cruel laughter. There was no holding back the red that filled his vision in that moment. The only thing he felt was pure, unadulterated hatred for the Slytherin in that clearing.
As he reached the end of the trees he could see Emily on the ground, pulling and clawing at her face and hair, and everywhere, and it didn't take much to figure out that Georgina was making her see things that weren't there. He didn't know what, but he had a feeling that she was playing on Emily's fears to the best of her ability. Spiders... this had to involved spiders...
Creeping forward slowly, Chase raised the dagger wand in one hand, aiming carefully before launching it as hard as he could, a yell of anger ripping from his as he did. The blade sliced through the air at record speed before lodging into the side of the Slytherin. He watched her fall back, dropping her wand and hopefully breaking whatever spell it was that she'd cast on Emily. Chase ran forward and lunged for the wand before the Slytherin could get it. "Crucio!"
He threw every ounce of hatred he had into those two words, and watched as she writhed on the forest floor. "Now look who's in her place. B*tch."

Emily sobbed and clawed at the spiders, literally spitting them out of her mouth. They were everywhere, crawling everywhere and no matter how much she fought, brushed them away they just kept coming, smothering her. Crying out she shook her head, and tried to scream again though almost instantly began choking. Feeling as though they were clambering down her throat, spitting out, Emily barely noticed the blood anymore and shook her head again, literally tugging at her hair to try and get them off her. "Stop it please...please...someone help me...I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." she sobbed, not sure what she was apologizing for, maybe for Rio, for whatever it was that made Georgie hate her so, for her Chase, for being Mudblood.
All of it.
As quickly as it had appeared though the illusion dropped but Emily still shook her head, taking a few seconds longer to realize what had happened. When she did a sob tore from her throat as she looked around, her body literally shaking, her face stained with her tears and blood as was her hair. Looking around she gulped trying to calm her crying when her eyes landed on Chase, then Georgina writhing on the forest floor. For a moment she was frozen, her eyes widened in horror, part of her eager to watch the b***h suffer. "Chase...s-s-stop...please..." she gasped, clutching her arm to her chest with her other arm as she lay back on the forest floor. Compeltely drained, her skin a deathly white now, "I'm s-sorry...I'm so so-sorry."

Georgina had been so absorbed in watching the Gryffindor scream and panic that she hadn't even realized that the control that she'd cast over the Hufflepuff was gone. It had no doubt slipped when she'd invaded the girl's mind, but she'd been dealing with the recoil of that too much to realize that she's also let the other hold go. Pity it was too late before she realized it.
As she cackled gleefully, her attention was completely on what she was watching, and she didn't pay attention to what was around her, and that was a fatal mistake on her part. Something hit her side, and pain ripped deep, tearing a scream from her and sending her toppling to the ground, wand falling from her grasp and the illusion she held on the Mudblood was broken.
Pain rippled through her with every move and she looked down to see the wand that she'd earlier charmed into a dagger lodged into her side. Hissing, Georgie looked up in time to see the hatred in the Hufflepuff's eyes, and seconds later she was screaming once again, a pain like nothing else tearing through her body as the cruciatus curse hit her. With the blade already lodged in her side, the pain was even worse there, and she tried not to let herself move onto that side, even as her body reacted out of instinct.
"Now look who's in her place. B*tch."
Anger flared through her but it was nothing compared to the pain that she was in. Another voice spoke up, but she didn't hear the words, just screamed in agony.
Eventually, the curse was lifted and Georgina fell to the ground, heaving as pain still shook her. Her fingers felt sticky with the blood that was oozing from her side. For several long moments she just lay there, struggling even to breathe, but eventually she reached for the dagger in her side and pulled it out. The pain of that tore another scream from her, and she took several deep, shuddering breaths. Summoning up some energy, Georgina grabbed the wand in both hands and pulled down and in, watching as the wand snapped in too, the core of it visible to her. The spell she'd cast on it was broken, and only the wood of the wand remained, blade gone.
It took a lot of effort, but Georgie some how managed to get onto all fours and crawl over to her clothes that she'd left on the forest floor before. Back when she'd had control over this situation, unlike now when she didn't even have a wand. He had it. As for the Mudblood, her wand was now in pieces on the forest floor.
With the support of a nearby tree, Georgie climbed unsteadily to her feet. The Hufflepuff's attention was on the girl on the ground, not on her. She may be crazy, but Georgina wasn't dumb. She'd lost her advantage here, and if she stayed any longer she'd be caught. Clutching her clothes tight to her bloodied side, she stumbled off at a quick limp into the trees. She'd work out her next move once she knew it was safe to do so. For now she needed to stop this bleeding and stay out of sight.

Chase watched as the Slytherin screamed and writhed on the floor, blood staining her skin from where the blade pierced her side. It wasn't even close to what she's done to Emily, but at least it was a start. Now, it was the B*tch who was suffering - the one who deserved it.
"Chase...s-s-stop...please..."
"She deserves worse." Even as he said it he was letting the curse fall, watching as the 7th years' body collapsed to the ground. His eye caught on his shirt by his feet where it had been abandoned earlier and he grabbed it quickly, running to Emily's side and dropping down beside her.
Her skin was white and cold, and she looked so weak. Blood... there was so much blood.
"I'm s-sorry...I'm so so-sorry."
Chase reached out with his shirt and quickly but gently wiped some of the blood from Emily's face. "Shh, shh. It's okay, babe. It's over. It's all over. She's gone." He took her arm and looked down at it, his stomach churning uneasily at what he saw there, but he tried to focus on the task at hand. He couldn't let her lose anymore blood or... well, he really didn't want to think about the alternative. Using his shirt again, he twisted it and wrapped it tightly around her arm several times, covering the wound. It wouldn't stop the bleeding, but hopefully it would slow it at least a little till he could get her some help.
That done, he glanced quickly over his shoulder, noticing the Slytherin stumbling into the trees across the clearing and out of site. "She's gone. You're safe now, babe." He carefully pulled Emily to him, hugging her weakened body close to him. She was freezing, that couldn't be a good sign. "I love you, Emily, so much. You're gunna be okay, I promise." He grabbed Georgina's wand again and closed his eyes, pointing it skywards and sending up several jets of red lighting. Surely if half the school were out on the pitch then someone would see it.
He pulled the pieces of Emily's wand over, and as he picked it up more of the core fell free. Unicorn hair. It gleamed in what little light there was that flooded the clearing. Her wand was useless now, but Chase was grasping at straws as he pulled the hair free from it and pressed it into Emily's hand. "Just hold it." Weren't unicorns supposed to have some sort of healing property? He didn't know, but he was willing to believe anything right then.
He knelt there with her wrapped tightly to him in his arms, rocking gently. "I love you, babe. Stay strong. Someone's coming. Stay strong." His voice broke as he spoke, tears streaming down his face as everything that was happening started to get on top of him, and he buried his face in Emily's hair, shaking. "Love you. Always."

Emily's body trembled violently as she gasped, everything sounding sort of hazy as she struggled to stop her sobbing. It was exhausting, so exhausting and her energy now was drained, gone, she give up she couldn't fight anymore. Did she even deserve to live, Chase had lost his Dad, an incredible man due to association with her. Shaking her head that searing pain shot through her chest, creating a huge back hole of nothing.
Feeling something on her face, Emily instinctively flinched away, gasping, "No more...please..." she gasped, terror filling her weakened body for a moment before it finally registered who it was. Chase. Tears spilled from her eyes as she breathed out her relief, he was here, he was alive. As he wrapped her arm she barely registered the pain, in the arm or her shoulder. It was as if her entire body had gone numb, was that good? She doubted it was but had no room in her to care anymore. All she could do was look at him, unable to stem the flood of tears spilling over her cheeks. "I'm sorry..." she whispered.
Georgina was gone? Again a strange sort of relief and peace flooded her body, Georgina was gone and Chase was okay, he was alive. As he pulled her to him, she gasped, but her head rested against his chest, "I'm sorry...so sorry Chase...your Dad..." she sobbed, her breathing labored now, her eyes following the red beam of light shot up into the sky. Her eyes glistened as she stared up towards the sky, the ghost of a smile appearing on her lips as she took in the beauty, the peace. "Beautiful...." she whispered, her body tensing slightly as she looked back at Chase, not even registering what he had forced into her hand, though her fingers did lock around it, not consciously though.
"Y-your shouldn't be here...this is me...I'm so s-s-sorry Chase...." she gasped, lifting her good hand, to gently touch his cheek with the tip of her fingers, wiping away the tears on his cheeks. More spilling over her own as everything began to fade away and his words hit her, "I love you to...so much and I-I didn't know...I'm sorry...I love...you always..." she gasped, her body tensing again as the thundering of footsteps could be heard approaching, someone shouting in the distance as finally the entire world faded into darkness...
