PERSONALITY: Dorcas is a lover, not a fighter unless necessary. Though a few harmless threats here and there never hurt anyone. Not really.
Like most teenagers Dorcas has a stubborn streak, however, this does not last long. She also holds grudges for about twelve hours before completely forgetting about them. Her memory isn't the greatest but she remembers what she has to and never forgets anything important.
Not having cried since she was eleven, Dorcas has given herself an image of being very strong willed and never backing down - something that ties in with her stubbornness, especially if it's for the right cause. Unlike most teenagers though Dorcas tends to listen to all sides of the stories before making any decisions on what she wants to do. At the moment she has a pretty big decision to be making. Stand by what is being known as the Order or just staying out of the war. Of course, staying out of it would perceive her as a spineless git and she hates spineless gits so naturally she is edging towards joining the Order when she's old enough. She has an overwhelming sense of right and wrong on a grand scale, but not when some irks her on a day to day basis.
Many aspects of Dorcas' personality changes depending on whom she is around and what situation she is in. Which is what happens for most people. When surrounded with friends and people she feels comfortable with she's loud and out going, determined, daring, untameable and flirtatious.
When she's around people she doesn't feel quite as comfortable with she can become a little more reserved and cautious or forward in trying to make a new friend.
When with people she holds one of her rare, long-time grudges against she can become bitchy as hell, snippish, snappy, rude, self-centered and pretty cruel. Though it is rare to see that side of her but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere deep down. Or sometimes just bubbling on the surface after a frustrating day.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT WE DIDN'T GET EXPELLED

HISTORY: Born to a Slytherin mother and a Ravenclaw father Dorcas lived the first ten years of her life in bliss. being the eldest of two girls she was spoiled rotten but always taking her fathers advice. He kept her level headed as a child and she always did her best to make him proud. She was her daddy's girl and nothing in the world would ever change that to either of them.
At the age of seven Dorcas was inducted to a muggle primary school by her mother at her fathers request. Knowing Dorcas was showing magical abilities her father feared her going to Hogwarts, being placed in Slytherin and caving in to the pure-blood-mania they all seemed to live off of. Of course, her mother was an exception to him but really, they were just married now, they weren't husband and wife, they weren't lovers, they were just together out of habit, necessity.
Having grown close to many other children her age Dorcas knew she was always different to her peers at muggle school. Her parents who had always been open to her of what she was did impress the need to keep it a secret. Dorcas hated secrets, she believed them to be wrong, but as her dad had told her 'Some secrets have to be kept' and so she always kept what she and her dad called 'their little secret'.
Finally the time came and Dorcas received her Hogwarts letter. Both her parents were pleased. Even her mother who barely spoke a word, expressed how proud she was of her eldest daughter, and that coming from her mother, meant more than the world to Dorcas. It was always something she remembered and never forgot.
After the letter came it was time to do the shopping. Both of Dorcas' parents took her to Diagon Alley. They weren't a well off, pure-blooded family, but her father's job paid for them to get by and still have a bit of extra money left over at the end of every year for a special family holiday away to Europe or various places around England, Scotland and Wales.
The day soon came and Dorcas headed off for Hogwarts. She took after her father and was sorted into Ravenclaw. Dorcas is now five years on without much complication, she has learnt not to cry and not to show any sort of weakness to the Slytherins. She's had a few scuffles and got into her fair share of trouble, but her grades have always been exceptional because she always studied in secret. No one knows how she manages to get such good grades because she always seems to be socialising but what they don't realise is that every night, when all are sleeping, she studies her arse off, barely sleeping apart from on weekends and that could be a cause of why she's underweight.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: The day had been chaos. Absolute bloody chaos. She'd managed to get her essay in on time to Professor Slughorn after the extension he'd handed her, and not only that, but she was pretty pleased with how it had turned out. It wasn't like Dorcas to be able to make up a good essay on anything, but somehow, she'd managed to complete the essay for Slughorn with a whole eighteen inches more than required. Not only that but her hand writing had stayed steady, it was entirely legible and her hand writing was small. She was hoping for a damn good grade on it and wanting it back so she could frame the damn thing. Though the only problem with having done such a long essay in two days and handing it in when your Professor wasn't used to that kind of work from you, was that there was always the chance he'd want to talk to you about it, make sure that it was in fact your own work other wise, BAM! Fail! And she could not afford to lose that 5% the essay was worth for her final OWL results.
Pushing her way into the crowded common room, Dorcas looked out to discover that night had fallen already. She looked at the large clock that their common room housed and realised it was nearly ten at night. What the hell? Where had time gone? Surely the clock was wrong. It had to be, so she grabbed hold of a fourth year as he pushed past her and looked at the watch on his left wrist. Oh! The clock was fast, by thirty seconds! Merlin, she had no idea what she had been doing. Working on more of her essays, shouting at brats in the library, some of which she could see now, pointing at her and laughing. Man sometimes she wished she'd been more focused in school work and become a damned Prefect because then she could put their arses in detention for as long as she damn well pleased. Keep them coming back night after night until they bowed down at her feet. Dorcas shook her head. Whatever, she was getting out of here.
Walking casually upstairs to her dorm she dumped her bag on her trunk and collapsed on her bed. Now she thought about it, she found herself actually quite tired. She yawned and water filled her eyes. She blinked it all away and turned on her side, yawning again and keeping her eyes closed. She wasn't even going to bother getting undressed, she was actually too tired to bother doing anything. How had she not realised this earlier? How had she not fallen asleep in the library or - CRASH!
Dorcas rolled over, groaning at the noise of chattering girls coming in through the dorm door, not bothering to keep it down, not caring that she was there. trying to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a Saturday so it didn't matter if they stayed up late, gossiping about anyone and everyone tonight, even her. They knew she wasn't asleep and yet most of them gossiped away regardless. Whatever, she wasn't standing for this, so she got up and headed downstairs to the common room again, deciding it was still too busy, she went out the the common room door, not wanting to stay there any longer. She couldn't stand most of her dorm mates when they got to chattering and she was trying to sleep, but who could blame her? Sleep was a sort of priority when you didn't get much through the week.
