nicknames: Some call her Leanne, some Leah. Some closer friends think she acts a little too much of a tom boy at times and call her Lee, she responds to all. Only one friend, a muggle friend from when she was growing up, called her Charlie, as a nickname of her middle name. She rarely responds to anyone other than him calling her by that name though.

Leander is quite a slender young woman with a mob of rather unruly hair atop her head. Her skin is rather pale as she never seems to tan no matter how long she’s outside under the sun for. Luckily though, she’s avoided inheriting her fathers’ bright red cheeks, because heaven knows she wouldn’t want to turn any redder when she’s embarrassed or flustered. The bad side to this, is combining her pale skin and untameable, also fair hair, means she is often lost behind it. A friend once described her as looking too ‘samey’, and went on to explain that she was too much hair and not enough face – at least not enough color on her face. Since then, Leander took to lining her eyes with thick black eyeliner, emphasizing her eyes which she got from her late mother’s side, and which she believes are perhaps her finest feature.in-depth appearance:
Leander wears pretty much anything so long as it’s not pink, frilly, fluffy, spotty, or poofy. She prefers pale, natural colored clothing, which she knows doesn’t help her stand out at all, but being a rather shy person, she doesn’t really mind. While her roommates fuss over what pair of shoes will match their outfit Leander picks up the same pair of scuff-toes slip-ons pretty much every day. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
Leander isn’t the most sociable of girls and is especially not so keen on her overly girly roommates who talk of nothing but boys (Mainly the Marauders in the year above) and clothes so she tends to find other things to fill her time. She walks with purpose most of the time, content to just get from A to B without too much fuss, but when she’d outside she likes to take it slow and enjoy the sun.in-depth personality:
Leander has always been an out-doorsy person and a keen lover of animals. It came as no surprise to anyone to find that she was a natural in her Care of Magical Creatures class and very much enjoys going there after classes to help out before it gets dark and it’s time to resign to the library to get her homework done.
Although a friendly, and warm-hearted person, the creatures she helps with see more of her tender side than anyone of her class mates who just see the quiet, shy girl. There are very few people who Leander would consider friends, but those she has she keeps close.

Leander loves the weekends when she can spend all day outside in the grounds and helping out. When she’d not doing that, she finds a quiet area by the lake to relax and read a book.likes:
Leander is fascinated with dragons and has a ridiculous collection of books, pictures and figures of them. Tucked safely under her pillow is also the small stuffed dragon which had been her first stuffed toy when she was born. The beaten and battered little toy had gone everywhere with her until she turned seven. Now, it came with her to Hogwarts every year.
Another of Leander’s favorite things is deep, philosophical conversation with people. She finds it such a relief to be able to talk intelligently with people after being stuck in a room with a group of giggly girls who think deciding what color eye shadow to wear is the biggest question in life.
Leander loves music and will occasionally spend her time by the lake or at the top of the astronomy tower trying to write her own songs as a way of escaping from the troubles of life and the madness of school life.
She has a soft spot for chocolate cake with thick, sweet icing on top.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
The thing that Leander dislikes the most is the conflicts around school. She can think of no worse situation that being in the middle of another Gryffindor versus Slytherin hexathon. Although she receives many harsh comments and snide remarks from the Slytherin’s because of her blood status she doesn’t see the point of all of the rivalry. But being fair, that was probably because of her blood status.dislikes:
She hates being stuck indoors for long periods of time and she isn’t a fan of big crowds. Another thing is being the centre of attention. She just can’t stand being put on the spot and have everyone waiting, starting at her. She isn’t so bad in her lessons unless it’s something she doesn’t know, then she panics a little.
The thing that Leander hates most about being at Hogwarts is not seeing her childhood best friend very often. The two of them had been together practically every day of their lives until she received her letter. She’d spent her first train journey to Hogwarts in tears.

boggart: Losing those she holds dearest. She lost her mother in an accident a few years earlier and she can think of nothing worse than losing another parent, or even her best friend.
patronus: Leander spent a lot of time in the back corner of the library practicing her patronus hoping that it would be a dragon, her favorite of all creatures, but to part-dismay, part-awe, her patronus became a beautiful, brightly colored Peacock. She still wonders why it’s an animal that is the complete opposite of herself.
mirror of erised: She sees herself standing with both her parents beside her, a whole family once again. Her best friend is at her side and she thinks she can just say make out a dragon soaring somewhere in the distance behind her.
wand: Willow, 8inches, Dragon Heartstring (No surprise there).

Leander Spicer was more in a normal muggle hospital, in a normal muggle village, to normal muggle parents. She lived a quiet life in a little costal village going to an ordinary school where she and her best friend could just fade into the distance and get lost in their own little world just the way they liked it, making promises that they would always be the best of friends and never leave each other’s side.in depth history:
One May, when Leander was nearing the end of her final year of school her mother was killed in a tragic accident while driving home from work. Life turned upside down for the Spicer’s and the madness didn’t stop. That summer, she received a letter inviting her to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her father told her it was a sham and someone was having her on, until she received a visit from a professor and was taken on her first foray into the magical lands of Diagon Alley.
The rest of the summer was a mad rush of giddy excitement, continued mourning, and nervous apprehension. By time September 1st rolled round Leander’s head was a complete muddle of emotions.
During her first four years of Hogwarts she discovered many things to love in the magical world, all the while wishing her mother was there to share her tales and adventures with. She just knew her mother would love to hear all about nifflers and quidditch and....

name/alias: I’m most often seen as NotAlice, which is often shortened to Alice. I’ll accept either.
experience: I... haven’t? I’ve touched briefly on it over the years but never anything proper. It’s something I’ve wanted to get involved in for a while but never really known how. I’ve been writing for quite a long time and I’ve started a proboards site of my own, linked on my profile, but role-play is practically new ground for me. =][=
how did you find us?: The proboards support advertising section I believe...
roleplay sample: Leander lay back on the cool grass and closed her eyes. She breathed in deeply, taking in all of the smells that Hogwarts’ grounds had to offer and feeling, if for a moment, content. The grass, although never seeming to alter in length, smelt newly cut, and the lake, lightly salted. There was a lightness in the air that let her lungs expand and her heart breathe a sigh of relief.
She’d been stuck inside for most of the week trying to finish her Transfiguration project. The subject wasn’t one of her strongest and, as she expected, her partner had chosen to use their study time to do other things and hadn’t bothered to show. She added work load had kept her buried under a mountain of book in the library for days. She wasn’t complaining though. She tended to work better alone. In her corner, the distant sound of footsteps, her quill scratching parchment, and the rustle of book pages were the only thing to break the silence.
With her project near enough completed Leander decided to escape the refines of the school and spend some time in her favorite spot near the lake, in the shade of an old willow tree. The spot gave her a great view of the pens where the magical creatures were kept. She turned her head to look in that direction, noticing the professor pottering about. She made a mental note to go over there and help out herself… after relaxing for a little while. She was enjoying the warm caress of the sun on her arms and face.
She closed her eyes again. She’d just rest here a little while longer…
