APPEARANCE: Lily is a very pretty girl, with dark red hair that falls to her shoulders and almond shaped green eyes, that are very distinctive, and are the first thing people notice about her and they're sure to be the one thing they remember about her long after they've left. Lily has fair skin that is unblemished by freckles or spots. The only mark on her skin is a small birth mark on the back of her left shoulder that from a certain angle looks almost like a love heart.

Lily is always immaculately dressed. Of course her studies are the most important thing to her as of right now but she also takes great pride in how she looks, really she has a need to excel in everything she does including how she looks. Lily is your every day girly girl when it comes to clothes and enjoys looking pretty, in dresses, skirts. She's not a fan of heels but will wear them if needs be. Her hair is never tied up and always sits in soft curls around her shoulders, usually decorated with a nice clip or a hair band.

PERSONALITY: Lily is exceptionally hard-working and kind-hearted. She is also known to be witty and charming and have a talent for Potions. Lily always tries to see the best in everyone she meets, even if they can't really see it in themselves. When it comes to her friends, Lily is loyal to a fault and extremely brave when it comes to defending them. Though if ever her good opinion on someone is lost due to some kind of action, then it is usually gone for good. After all, she's a pretty stubborn girl who has no time for small minded individuals.

Lily has a sharp tongue, again and no problem standing up for others. Usually more often than not she would stand up for Severus when James and Sirius started in on him, though her actions and words were usually ineffective. She has strong principles and will not tolerate any one who has any kind of fascination with the Dark Arts or Voldermort's genocidal cause.

Not many people know this but she's funny, and does enjoy having a good time, though more often than not will put her studies above any of that. School is extremely important to Lily as is achieving top grades in every class she attends. There's always time though to help anyone out, and she is known to even offer up time to tutor the less up to date students if they need any help.

HISTORY: Lily was born to Mr. and Mrs. Evans, two Muggles of the Evans family, on 30 January, 1960.
She had an older sister named Petunia, and the family lived in Cokeworth England. At the age of nine, Lily became friends with Severus Snape, who lived down in Spinner's End, which was within walking distance of the Evans' house. However, they were apparently better off, since Petunia sneered at Snape for coming from that poverty-stricken neighbourhood. Severus was the first person to tell Lily that she was a witch, and he went on to teach Lily a great deal about the wizarding world while the two eagerly awaited the time when they could attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry together. Originally, Petunia and Lily were quite close, but her magical abilities and her friendship with Severus caused problems between the sisters. Envying her sister's abilities, Petunia wrote to Dumbledore, asking if she could attend Hogwarts with Lily.

Of course Petunia was turned away, leaving Lily to go to the school alone. On the train ride to Hogwart's, Lily encountered both James Potter and Sirius Black for the first time when they entered the cabin she was occupying with Severus. There was an instant dislike for the two boys when they began mocking her good friend. Lily although thrilled to be sorted into Gryffindor when she arrived at the school, she was also saddened that Severus ended up in Slytherin. Of course she'd heard the rumors surrounding the house, and also studied each house somewhat on the train. Despite this though she was determined that they should remain friends, despite the many people who told her otherwise.

The years went by and Lily remained at the tops of every class she entered. Studying was her passion, she loved absorbing as much information as she could and spends most of her time huddled up in the library learning something new and brilliant about charms, the school, the wizarding world in general. Through the years she's become no stranger to the taunts from Slytherin's about her heritage and although she remains strong, there are times when it all gets too much to her. During these times she'll hide away in her room, with her head buried deep within some kind of book. Her friendship with Severus is at breaking point, no longer can she ignore his fascination with Voldermort and the Dark Arts, though she is also reluctant to let him go. He's been the only constant in her life since before Hogwart's, but she knows things are changing this year. In more ways than one.
