"All of it I guess...but hey it wasn't all bad was it? The guy who caught you B&E seems pretty awesome..."
Liander grinned. Pretty awesome would be one way to say it... pretty damn hot might be another. Damn it, why couldn't his hormones be nice to him just one time? Why was it always the straight guys he tended to like? Actually, was that hormones talking or something else? He didn't even want to go there. "So long as the guy who caught me mid B&E doesn't report be for trespassing, then he shall remain awesome."
Liander listened as Noah spoke about his dad. "Sounds nice... Mine's a bit like that with my brothers but..." He shook his head and looked away. Talking about his parents was a bit of a sore subject for him at times. "But I'm not worth his time simply because I'm not another of his perfect Ravenclaw kids, like he expected." He couldn't help an edge of bitterness in his voice, and then he remembered that Noah himself was a Ravenclaw and quickly added, "Not that I've got anything against Ravenclaws I just... you know..." He let out a small awkward laugh and ran his fingers through his hair. "Put my foot in it."
Time for a change in conversation, he thought, and quickly turned the conversation back to the reason he was down here in the first place. Finding whatever it was Aiden had lost.
"Oh hey...I think these are Aiden's..."
Liander looked back to Noah as he headed towards a shelf and pulled something off. Curious, Liander followed him over to see Noah holding what looked like a pair on shin guards.
"Let me guess? The douche bag told you the brand name instead of what it was you were actually looking for?"
"No idea. Probably. It just all sounded like gibberish to me. I guess Aiden is the type who takes pride in his things, brand names included." Liander generally didn't care about things like brand names, with one exception, his All Stars, but that was it. He usually just went with comfort over cost and didn't care about brands, so long as it didn't look stupid.
"Thanks, Noah." He reached for the guards and sent another smile towards the other boy. Liander didn't quite know what to say to him. The images of Noah body still seemed to be etched into his retinas. "Err..."

"But I'm not worth his time simply because I'm not another of his perfect Ravenclaw kids, like he expected."
Noah looked at Liander and frowned, not missing the hint of bitterness in his voice as he spoke of his Dad. He had nothing but respect for his own Father, in a way it had been beat into him from a young age, what the man said was sacred, and not to be questioned. Noah had simply learned to live by his Father's rigid structure and rules, in fact he couldn't imagine another way to live his life now. It gave his life a strange sense of order and balnce, which was why he refused to acknowledge things that could disrupt that. At Liander's apology, Noah waved his hand, "Seriously don't worry about it...you need to stop second guessing what your saying man...just say it like it is." he said, having noticed how often Liander seemed to retract his statements or apologize for anything he said.
He shot a smile at the other boy as he handed him the shin guards and as expected Liander admitted that it had all sounded like gibberish. "Yeah, this one especially...even I have a hard time remembering it sometimes...or even pronouncing it." he said, handing Liander the guards, returning the boys smile. Pulling his hand back, Noah tucked it into the pocket of his trousers and looked around. Not wanting to prolong the awkwardness now surrounding them, emphasized by Lianders "Err...", Noah stepped back towards the door. Pointing over his shoulder, "Come on we can walk back to the castle together if you want..." he suggested, pushing the door open and stepping outside, looking over his shoulder for a moment to see if Liander was indeed following.

"Seriously don't worry about it...you need to stop second guessing what your saying man...just say it like it is."
Liander gave a small, lopsided grin. "I know... I just don't want to insult anyone or anything. The last thing that I need right now is enemies." He tried to push off the thought, not wanting to think about what would happen if anyone found out the truth about him and what he was. What he was... That made it sound like it was an illness or something. Well, his parents pretty much thought it was, didn't they? They thought it was the kind of thing that meant you needed to be sent off to get fixed for. And that was exactly the reason that he couldn't tell anyone, he couldn't let anyone know, and he could never truly be himself.
He took the shin guards with a small smile and a muttered thanks, no quite sure what to do next. He looked down at his pockets, which definitely weren't big enough to fit the guards in.
Noah headed over towards the door out of the changing rooms. "Come on we can walk back to the castle together if you want..."
Liander followed quickly, not wanting to be stuck in the unfamiliar changing room any longer. The sooner he got back to the castle the sooner he could give the guards to Aiden, which meant the sooner he could go back to his dorm and try and push all thoughts of what had happened in that changing room from his mind. "I should probably try and get these to Aiden before his detention finishes. The last thing I need is a-" Liander paused and looked over to Noah. "You know, you'll probably see him before I do - same house and all that..." He waved the shin guards in one hand, not entirely sure what to do with them. It made sense though, didn't it? Then again, maybe he shouldn't have said it and he'd have had an excuse to talk to Noah a while longer. "Forget it, I'll head up and see if he's still in detention first, you know..."

Noah observed Liander carefully, having always been a good judge of character, and great at reading people he could sense something on Liander's mind but with them just meeting he wasn't going to push the issue any further. "Should never be afraid to say what's on your mind man," he said with a shrug as they headed outsides. Liander followed him outside and Noah made sure the door was closed before he carried on walking, looking at Liander he smiled a little adjusting the bag over his shoulder. There he went again, Noah would gladly take the shin guards to Aiden, he'd throw them at the other boy but before he could take them Liander began to retract his decision.
"Forget it, I'll head up and see if he's still in detention first, you know..."
Rolling his eyes, Noah chuckled and took the shin guards from Liander and shoved them into his bag, smiling over at Liander, "I can tell your gonna be hard work..." he joked, jokingly patting Liander's shoulder as they carried on walking. Truth was he was kind of dreading the stack of books he had to read, he'd much rather go straight into doing his running. It wasn't his favorite thing to do but at least if he did it he didn't have to lie to his Dad when they met up at the weekend and he grilled Noah about his weekly activities. If Noah so much as diverted from his schedule all hell usually broke loose.

Noah took the shin guards and shoved them into his bag. There went his excuse to talk to him for a while longer. That was probably a good thing though, so he just smiled back, that smile turning to a grin at Noah words.
He wondered what'd happen the next time he saw him around. Would Noah even remember who he was? Heck! Would he even be able to remember Noah's name? Liander and names didn't go together too well, but maybe he'd be able to recall this guy's. If one thing was for sure, there was a lot of things about Noah that he knew he wouldn't be forgetting in a hurry, so even he did forget his name, in the scheme of things? There were a lot better things to remember.
They reached the castle and slipped inside the doors, and Liander slowed down, knowing that they were about to go separate directions now. Liander needed to head back down to his common room and Noah would be heading upstairs. And so that was that. "So... Cya, I guess." Liander mentally slapped himself and quickly continued. "Thanks by the way for... you know..." He waved an arm vaguely, "Everything."

They reached the castle and it was with slight reluctance Noah made his way inside. Part of him was reluctant to part from Liander which was confusing and the rest of him simply didn't want to return to his dorm, that work, he just wanted to sleep. He had an idea that one day this strict schedule would kill him for sure. Running his hand over the back of his neck he looked at Liander, slowing his pace to match the other guys and smiled a little. "Hey don't mention it...it's been interesting to say the least..." he joked, interesting didn't even cover half of what had happened. Confusing maybe.
"Next time Aiden asks you to get him something tell the lazy sod to do it himself..." he said with a smile, coming to a stop where they were due to part. Running his hand back through his hair Noah looked at Liander, and gave him a friendly pat to the shoulder before he began to back up, "Catch you around...though maybe next time away from the shower rooms..." he teased, shooting the blonde boy a wink before turning on his heel and hurrying up the steps towards his room, forcing away any lingering thoughts on the days events. Now. To study.

Interesting would probably be an understatement considering everything that had happened. It definitely wasn't how Liander had been expecting his day to turn out, that was for sure. No complaints though.
Noah gave him a pat on the shoulder before moving away from him, heading towards the stairs. "Catch you around...though maybe next time away from the shower rooms..."
That wink caused little butterflies to erupt in Liander stomach and he knew for a fact that this boy wasn't someone he was going to be able to get off his mind all to quickly. "And maybe with a few more clothes, too." He watched as Noah disappeared up the stairs before he headed down towards his common room. Maybe he would stop by the kitchens first. Hot chocolate and marshmallows. That'd help ease his mind a bit.
