[/color][/b] Katherine grew up the baby of the family, a position she both despised and revelled in. From a young age she was taught how to defend herself, having an older brother meant she had to learn quickly how to fight back. Either that, or get pushed around constantly. The Dupree’s were a loving family, always taking holidays together, and spending lots of time with one another. Katherine’s magical abilities were first seen on her third birthday when she used magic to stop herself before she hit the ground, one afternoon when she fell from the tree house she was sat in, with her brother, it was because of this her relationship with her brother suffered slightly due to him being the one to push her out of the tree house.in depth history:
At the age of 11 she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter and was thrilled, despite her brothers mean comments she’d be placed in Slytherin, Katherine looked forward to finally getting to go to the school she’d dreamed of attending since a young age. Katherine was immediately placed into Gryffindor to her relief and her parents delight. She was a popular student though was often ostracized due to her love for anything Muggle. Katherine took great pleasure in learning all about the Muggle World, and Muggle Studies happened to be her favourite lesson.
Katherine became Head Girl in her final year at Hogwarts and graduated top of her class. Then after a year experiencing the Muggle World for herself she was offered the position of Muggle Studies Professor back at the school she’d loved so much. It hadn’t really been a difficult decision for Katherine who accepted the position almost instantly.
Now Katherine loves her job and she loves teaching but she’s fully aware of the risk she’s putting herself in by teaching such a subject, especially now the Dark Lord’s power and his followers are growing. Her only hope is that the walls of Hogwarts keep her safe... [/blockquote][/blockquote]
