APPEARANCE: Scar has always been beautiful, and she loves seeing her reflection in the mirror. She has a few freckles around her nose and cheeks and one distinguished mole on the right side of her cheek. She usually wears her hair down and straight, but on rare occasions, she will curl it and put it mostly up. She has a pretty long scar across her left cheek from an accident that happened when she was 8;; her brother Lance caused her to lose control of her broom and she crashed into a tree. She kept the scar instead of getting it fixed because she felt it went along with her nickname. She takes pride in her appearance and it comes out in what she wears;; she always makes sure that her uniform has been freshly pressed and, on the rare occasion that she gets to wear her street clothes, she makes sure that everything looks put together. She has recently become fascinated with long, flowing skirts and loves wearing them with a tank top lots of beads when she goes out in the summer. As for winter and fall wear, she doesn’t go anywhere without her emerald green pea-coat and purple scarf.

PATRONUS: Jack Russell Puppy
PERSONALITY:
Immature/Naive;;She’s highly intelligent, but also very easily distracted, and has a fierce and dangerous temper when she doesn’t get what she wants. Much like a five year old who is throwing a temper tantrum. She finds joy in the little things in life, such as cute pranks from Zonko’s or the animals during Care of Magical Creatures. She doesn’t believe in things like hatred and discrimination and is rather naive about them in general. She’s intimidated by a lot of the Slytherin students because of their strong and forward personalities.
Loving;; Seemingly uncharacteristic of the Slytherin girl, Scar cares deeply about others and the way that they feel. She’s not afraid to hurt their feelings with what she does, but she’s also not afraid to apologize and admit that she’s been wrong. Once she develops feelings for something or someone, it’s hard to get her to come off of it. She loves deeply and perhaps more quickly than she should.
Slightly Self-Absorbed;; She cares deeply about the way that she looks and can be seen as extremely narcissistic and vain by others. She loves looking at herself in the mirror, but sometimes when she does, she finds flaws that she cannot ever hope to fix, which sends her into a tizzy.
Temperamental;; Scar has a bit of a temper and once she’s mad about something, she can stay mad for very long periods of time. It doesn’t take much to piss her off and once she’s enflamed, the entire world better steer clear for a couple of days. She has always believed that it was her temper that sent her into Slytherin.
Nonjudgemental;;However, unlike most of her Slytherin brethren, she’s not much into discriminating against the other houses. She will pretty much talk to anyone who will listen to her and develops friendships in even the most unlikely of places.
Athletic;; Scar loves to be outside and she loves to be outside on her broom more than anything. She could spend hours a day flying around and practicing her Quidditch moves. She hopes that she will make the Slytherin team this year.

HISTORY:
Scarlet and Lance Blackwood were born on April 7th, 1960 to Gwendolyn and Arthur Blackwood. From the beginning, they were a privileged pair, both of them never really wanting for anything. Their parents were well-off and always provided for their children. Scar was the younger child, by a few minutes, and her parents always treated her like the baby of the family. Scar almost resents them for their constant babying, but sometimes she’s glad for the protection that it offers her from her older twin brother. She spent the majority of her childhood with her brother and his rough and tumble attitude and it definitely started to rub off on her as she grew up.
When she was just four years of age, her parents started enrolling her in French classes because they thought that she needed to become a little more dainty. Spending so much time with Lance was causing her to become a bit tomboyish and they didn’t find that acceptable. In the pure-blood circuits, appearances were very important and Scar wasn’t giving them the appearance that they wanted her to. French lessons didn’t go so well, after the third lessons, something just seemed to snap in Scar and the vase that was above her tutors head seemed to explode for no reasons. Her magic was beginning to manifest itself.
From the beginning, Scar and Lance had a dangerously competitive relationship as twins. Their parents documented many times when the pair were seen fighting, even as young children. Lance was usually the one who won, forcing Scar into submission. When they were 8 years old, their parents bought Scar her first broom and she challenged Lance to a race around their back yard. The pair of them suited up and started the race on the back porch. Everything was going well, the playful competition between them seemed to be going fine, until Lance decided that he was going to push his sister with his foot. It was an act of anger, something that Lance had never been good at controlling. She lost control of her broom and ended up crashing into a tree, leaving a long scar across her cheek. Since that day, Scar has been afraid of Lance, fearing that his temper will get the best of him and cause him to hurt her or someone else like that day.
Finally, when she turned 11, she was sent to Hogwarts. She was sure that she would be sorted into Hufflepuff;; she was never particularly suited to be a Slytherin. Her brother went under the hat first and was sorted into Slytherin and then she went under. The hat seemed to take too long to decide, but threw her with the snakes. Since then, she has been confused about who she really is. Did the hat know something that she didn’t? Her years went by without much happening. She lay low and tried to get used to being a Slytherin and avoiding her brother.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE: [From another site;;]
The evening air was a little crisper than Septima had previous anticipated. She felt like she was less than adequately dressed for the weather in her blue cardigan and smart black dress. These were the days she wished that she paid more attention to the changing weather patterns surrounding Hogwarts; perhaps then she wouldn’t be so freezing. She listened to the click of her heels as she walked down the main street of Hogsmeade, trying to clear her head. The past two weeks had been very stressful for her, and she was close to pulling her hair out. She had fought for her right to the Dueling Club, she had fought to get rid of pranks in her classroom, she had fought with an insubordinate third year Slytherin who had no interest in her class and was taking it to pick up a Raveclaw girl that was in the advanced section of Arithmancy, she had even fought with Dumbledore over moving her classroom. She had fought until she thought that there was nothing more in the world that she wanted to fight about. She was simply ready for some peace and quiet. That was why she was on her way to The Three Broomsticks where she vowed that she would people watch and keep to herself. Perhaps even get a chance to read the Muggle novel that was collecting dust in her bag.
The thought of reading made her smile. She had always had a particular fondness for muggle novels. They were so much more interesting than the Wizarding tales that were around these days. She tugged her black leather bag a little further up her shoulder, making sure that she didn’t lose it as she turned the corner.
It was then that she was face to face with him. Well, as she stood there staring, she realized that it wasn’t actually him, just a giant poster that had his face all over it. She looked closer, making sure that she was seeing it right. Her initial thought was that he looked a lot like a student she had had just a few years ago: a certain student who had made unmistakable passes at her numerous times. Passes that were both too forward for her liking and rather unprofessional; not that he cared, whenever she said something about it, the bold Gryffindor boy simply used to laugh. She felt a blush rise to her cheeks. What was his name again? Bradley something or other. Bradley...Ah. Parker. Was it possible that was his face on the Hogsmeade Hammer’s poster...? Septima reached up and touched the face on the poster, not surprised when the movie photograph seemed to give a cheer of victory, undoubtedly proud of whatever he had just accomplished. She shook her head, determining that she was seeing things. There was no way that the annoyance that had been Bradley Parker had made it big. No way in the world that he was playing for a professional team. She must have been mistaken. She turned away from the poster, choosing to continue her walk toward the bar.
She walked through the door to The Three Broomsticks and was happy to see that it was warm, well-lit, and full of life. The sounds of hearty drinking mates filled her ears and she smiled. She couldn’t help it. This was the kind of atmosphere she loved; the camaraderie of it all. Slowly she crossed to the table in the back that always seemed to be open when she needed it. It wasn’t long before Madame Rosmerta sat a hot tea down on her table, “Good to see you, Sept.” The woman said with a grin and slipped a tiny umbrella into Vector’s drink. This made Septima laugh slightly.
“Thank you very much, Rosmerta. Glad to see you haven’t forgotten my favorites,” Septima said quietly and pressed her lips to the cup as she watched the woman walk away to the bar so that she could serve the other customers. The liquid slipped down her throat and warmed her entire being. Without another thought, she pulled out the novel that was sitting in her bag and began to read, slipping into another world; one of romance and danger. One that was not hers in the slightest.
