She is very smart and independent, always willing to lend a hand to someone who needs it. Fiercely loyal and protective of her friends and family, she will not stand by and watch as others are hurt or tortured. She's quick on her feet and easily able to duel if necessary, to prove a point but she won't just bend down to someone else's level, like the Marauders. She'd like to prove a point but not in the same spiteful way as others do.in-depth appearance:
Instead she uses her own skills, as she has a better way with words than she does by ever raising her wand, this does not mean she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, it just means she's found a better way. She lets her intelligence speak for itself. But as for the way she looks, her red hair is a family trait and her eyes well her eyes are her best feature in her opinion. The freckles she could live without, but aside from that she's grown to accept herself for how she looks and doesn't try and change just to please someone else. She is fair skinned which means she's a light toned beauty. She's usually found in calm, comfortable clothing outside of Hogwarts and her Gryffindor robes while in the classroom setting. She takes great pride in her appearance and doesn't like to look sloppy, even when she's at home where nobody from Hogwarts can see her. It's just not who she is. About 5'6 in height and her build is slender, about 120 pounds (give or take). Two of her distinguishing features are easy to pinpoint, and that is her long red hair which is shoulder length most of the time. It's soft too. Her best feature in her mind at least is her emerald Green eyes, in an almond shape.

The best way to describe Lily is a loving and kind individual, someone who is willing to protect others no matter what the cost might be. She is someone who would fight for what is right instead of for what was easy. Lily is not an over the top wild child, far from it actually. Could be considered a tad bit shy when you first meet her. But the longer she's around you, the more comfortable she is and the more invested she becomes in the friendship. She's a very cautious person with her heart as she's unwilling to allow herself to be hurt, because of a failed romance. Loyalty and honesty are just two of the traits that Lily possesses that makes her an excellent candidate for being a true Gryffindor. She would rather be cursed or killed than to put anyone in harms way, especially a true friend. She loves Quidditch and is a fan of the sport, though she has never played it in school, or otherwise. She wouldn't ever be caught trying out for the team as her flying ability, which is one of the few things she's not that great at, would probably do more harm to the team than good, even if she passed the course. She is one of those people that isn't a big fan of heights, even if it's just a few feet off the ground. She is an outgoing person though, eager to socialize and is willing to make friends no matter which house they will belong to as she's not judgemental of others in the least. Intelligence is another word that is used to describe her, and isn't afraid to admit or show it. She is focused primarily on her studies instead of dating, but she does make time for the friends that she does have. In all honesty, her studying pays off as she's able to do well in her classes and is in the top percentile in most of them. She's in the top of her class, and is always willing to tutor those, who could benefit from it, especially the younger year students. Though in all actuality she'll help anyone. She's not fond of spending alot of time by herself and likes to be surrounded by people, especially her friends. Judgemental, is not a word that is used to describe Lily as she's far from it, after all she's had friends in many different houses and is willing to compromise and hang out with just about everyone. She does not judge them before getting to know them, like in Severus' case, or many of the others in his house. Lily really isn't a very judgmental person, She is not perfect and sometimes makes mistakes. As any witch, wizard or muggle might, however she owns up to her mistakes and learns from them as well. Including admitting to the fact that she's messed up as it's just who she is. Lying doesn't come easily for the young Gryffindor as she doesn't like it when others are so full of themselves that they make up everything about themselves. She won't lie to her friends at all. It's not like she's different than others, it's the fact that she believes it is better to be polite and honest than to be a stuck up arse, kind of like Potter and his little friends. Mostly she is not rude to anyone unless others irritate her to the point where she has no other choice, like over ninety percent of the Slytherins do. She will remain nice to a certain extent but if her tone changes dramatically well that just means she's getting irritated by you and/or what you're saying. Most times she'll ignore it, but when someone is rude to her, she'll bite back, just in a different way. This also includes anyone she might love or care about. Family and friends mean the world to her. Meeting new people to her is always a fun type of thing for her, after all as a Prefect you get a chance to meet and interact with students from all of the houses as well as run in with any number of Professors, and the HeadMaster himself. Being friendly to most of the students in the school is easy, well unless their from Slytherin that is. There's the exception to the rule of course.Everyone else says some of her best qualities are that she's "Vivacious", "Charming", "Very Brave", and "Very Funny". "One Of The Brightest Students Of Her Year." If that's not a great way to describe someone, she doesn't know what might be.Naturally she stays away from the Slytherin house, for a reason as almost all of them dislike muggleborns and the only Slytherin she'd ever befriended was that of Severus Snape, which of course ended badly. It's highly unlikely that she'd put herself down that same path with someone else from that house. She'll do whatever she can to avoid that particular area of pain. Most people might say she has a bad temper (and judge her for it because of the fact she has red hair). Just be warned on what you say around her, and can be a bit bossy or tempermental if one doesn't watch their step. Bottom line is if you don't want to anger her, then watch what you say as she is the last person you'd ever want mad at you. Just because it won't end so well for you. She's nothing like what most people would anticipate she is.Things usually never end well for that person when she is angry.in-depth personality:

Lily Marie Evans was born to Michael and Michelle Evans, the second born daughter of the couple, as they'd already had another daughter Petunia, who was about two years older. Petunia, like Lily was named after a flower. The girl was given the name Lily Marie Evans, Lily after a flower, and it's latin. Marie came after her grandmother or so she was always told and Evans, the family name. Petunia was a great big sister, instead of being overly jealous that her parents were spending time with a younger sibling, Petunia had been happy, and once Lily was old enough to talk and really play with, the two were downright inseparable. Where one was the other was sure to be found. Unfortunately for the sisters, it wouldn't always be the simple and loving relationship that they'd known. She never wanted to be away from Petunia growing up. Between the ages of eight and nine, her world went completely upside down when she met a young boy who was her age, named Severus Tobias Snape, and her sister Petunia kept referring to him as the freak, just because of the fact he was different. Different from anyone else Lily had ever known. She trusted Severus and never wanted to be apart from him, probably why she protected him so fiercely. Their new friendship grew, as Severus told her about what she really was, a witch! She couldn't believe it after all it wasn't every day that something like this happened. Petunia of course didn't like different and their relationship grew tense. And it made her cry, as she didn't understand why her sister just couldn't be happy for her, and accept her for who she was. The name calling and the disrespect Petunia showed her, was cruel, as she hadn't ever expected this kind of thing from her sister, who at one time had been her best friend. She found solitude and happiness in the one person who never judged her, and that was Severus. True, he was different, and special, their bond was growing and soon, Severus took Petunia's place as her best friend. A fact that only sealed the fate between the two sisters. At age 11, when Lily recieved the letter to go to Hogwarts, immediately her parents were supportive and asked questions about where she would be going and what kind of things she might learn, whereas Petunia wasn't fond of the idea and called her a freak, in which she had no choie but to respond by saying "You didn't think it was such a freak's school when you wrote to the headmaster and begged him to take you." When Severus had told her what to expect, nothing had prepared her for what she saw for herself. He had told her not to worry about what others thought as some would accept a muggleborn in their world, some wouldn't, and that to him, it didn't matter if she was a muggleborn or not. Whether he really meant it, well at the time she believed it. She needed to, after all he knew her better than most people. While she had been honest whenshe spoke those words it only made matters worse and the once close relationship shattered like thousands of broken glass pieces , that could never be repaired. Naturally getting to Hogwarts proved to not only be exciting but a new challenge as well, one she hoped she would succeed in.in depth history:
Her friendship with Severus continued, and the two, started their first year of Hogwarts. Severus, was sorted into Slytherin and she was sorted into Gryffindor, and from that moment on, everything changed. She became a bit more independent but protected those she loved, Severus especially, from the cruel and unusual punishments that four young boys in her house bestowed upon him, Those boys James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, Each one of them could be trouble by themselves, especially the two ringleaders, James and Sirius, as they were the ones who started all the drama with Severus. By calling him names and just making his life miserable. A fact that got on her nerves as much as all the names that they called her. Severus was unlike any boy she'd ever known and she hadn't cared what her housemates had to say about him after all he was her friend and as a friend she cared for him a lot. Throughout the years she made plenty of friends, in all different houses, though Severus was the only real Slytherin friend she had. Their friendship was something she couldn't and wouldn't ever replace. James Potter started chasing her at the start of fifth year, which she refused every attempt he'd ever made. The only one of the four boys she had somewhat of an alright relationship with was that of Remus Lupin, who seemed to be a lot smarter than the other three combined. The Marauders, which was the name that James came up with to call his friends, were unique in their own ways to be sure, but Remus seemed the most levelheaded of them all. The lot of them picked on students, particularly her best friend Severus for any reason imaginable. It didn't matter if he'd done something to them or not, they'd still pick on him. The one good thing about fifth year was she had become a Prefect, something of which she had dreamed of becoming from the moment she entered Hogwarts, it was a goal of responsibility and that was something that suited her more than anything else.
Coming up:
(Later in their fifth year, everything began to change as her relationship with Severus came to a sudden halt. One day out by the lake, James and his gang were picking on Severus, had him turned upside down, and when she went to his rescue, after they'd finally set him down, he called her a word that in their world was completely cruel, and unforgivable. The word, Mudblood uttered from his lips, the term meaning dirty blood, it was meant only for muggleborn children like herself. For a long while she had cried herself to sleep over it and now is just getting to the point where she is trying to forgive him, forgive yes, but never to forget after all it was impossible to do so. By this point her own relationship with Petunia was nonexistant..)

name/alias: Kailyn
experience: 10 Years
how did you find us?: Another marauder site, I think.
roleplay sample: It wasn't that she didn't want to help Severus with the potion, because she did. If anything She had always been the one to focus on the assignments first and chat later, but this was an unusual circumstance given the state of things. And yet she knew that when it came right down to it they both were going to be put in a situation where they had to pick and choose their battles, because picking the wrong one could lead to torture or death. No matter what reasoning they both had for why they did the things they did, only one thing mattered, that it never happened again. She couldn't take another set back, another heart ache.
Severus had been the one being who had known her and truly had seemed to understand her to a certain extent but he'd never understood why she wasn't just going to sit by and watch as a war that was going to kill her kill too many of those she cared about, her friends, her classmates! That was the point of it all, that was why she was willing to fight for what she believed in, not because she wasn't afraid of losing her own life but because if she could make it better for the next generation, for those who came after her, so be it.
She knew that the two of them speaking was something neither one of them had really expected to happen, but she was going to handle it, one way or another. "You think I don't know about that? You think I don't know that by joining the side of what's right, the Order, that I'll probably be losing my life because I oppose the one wizard who thinks he is better than everyone else? Life is not fair, Severus. You should know that better than anyone. I'm not scared to die, Severus." She took a deep breath as she wondered what would happen. She knew that everything was going to change. The only question was would it be for better or worse?
There were certain things she needed to tell him, things she was certain he would not want to hear, but it was how she felt in all of this. "I know that my life, isn't important, but what is important, is to know that the generations after us, can live their lives without fear, of being persecuted simply because of the blood status they have. I never asked to be born into this world and it's unfortunate that now, I may die because of it. Muggles and Muggleborns are all going to die, by Voldemort's plan. Because he thinks we're the trash of the wizarding world. And unfortunately, it won't be easy, I know that I will be putting my own life in jeopardy and I'm willing to take that risk."
She heard his pleading tone and felt somewhat guilty about the way she was feeling, as she knew in the years before he had been the one wizard who seemed to trust her, to know her better than anyone else. But that was then and this was now. She couldn't help but smirk. "I will be safe until I take my last breath, that's all that matters. I know that I won't come out of this unscathed, because of how many innocent lives are going to be lost because of this war, because of HIM. I'm not afraid of him, because when it comes to this war, I have something worth fighting for and I can't say he has something to fight for. Something that truly matters. To him it's all about Power and dominance, I'm not going to give him that. No matter the consequences."
She kept her tone to a whisper, although the tone got softer and softer as she spoke, especially about the Order and Voldemort. She nodded only when he said that everyone deserved such a chance, as that was the only thing that mattered. She had said where things were going to end up for her, what her live meant, what good it could do. She was scared only in how it would end, who all would lose their lives for no reason but because they were different. Just like she was. Different was what had gotten into Hogwarts, and while that was a good thing. She was different from her mother, father and sister, a fact that had always been at the top of her mind. A fact she had been repeatedly reminded of when she was at home. Her parents had never made it such a big deal but her sister definitely had.
She smirked once. "Purebloods have a better chance at survival than muggleborns like myself, I already know that, and halfbloods too. But if I am going to die, and I'm sure that I will, because of what I've been born as, not because of who I am, then I will go down fighting, until I take my last breath. All I ask is that you don't make hasty decisions and throw your life into the lion's den. Sure, you might be safer with Voldemort and his followers, but trust me, they'll never be your true friends. They don't know you like I do, they can't. Granted, you've never completely opened up to me either and don't think I haven't seen it. I know you too well, remember?"
Her heart was torn between what was right and what was easy. Was she wrong in believing that he could change, that he would change? There were certain figures whom she had respected, Dumbledore was one of them. Life was what one made it so she lived each and every day as though it were her last. And there were those she loved and those she respected. She would never ever betray those she loved or respected.
With Severus, as how he had alwayss been there were things she did not approve of, not because he didn't have his own right to make his own choices but because the cowardly choices were those that he was making, especially with the crowd he was taking. Those choices were his to make and those choices, she had no reason to talk him out of anymore. After all they weren't friends anymore. She could try but it would be to no avail, that was something she had learned to accept given how close he'd gotten to the other snakes. Each house was supposed to be the family of those who dwelled inside of it, but she had never felt comfortable with many of the things her housemates had done. She had been sure that that wouldn't change. Because she had known him well enough to know that he wasn't about to chance his plans, or his mind simply because she had asked him to.
"Everything I have ever done, I have done for a reason. You were my best friend, and honestly, the idea that I would have ever pitied you....I don't even know what to say. Why would I have wanted to hurt you like that? You opened me up to so many things....to this world, this life. And I love that. Because now I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. You can't erase it, you know. But we can learn from it." The thoughts were going through her head, knowing that it had to be done. "Please, Severus. Finish....what you were saying about losing me. I need to know. I deserve to know." She said with a sigh as the silence seemed to echo around them. She didn't like the sudden silence but she needed him to understand where she was coming from, what truly mattered to her.
To really understand him was all she wanted, it was what she needed. Next year she would be leaving Hogwarts for the final time and she still had no idea what she was going to do. If she went home, she knew where she would stand. Petunia would still be with Vernon, or so she was last aware. So, she didn't expect to be welcome home. Petunia would never allow it, and her parents were under enough stress so she was on her own. "Being vulnerable is hard, but it affects all of us. I didn't think we would be apart, ever....until last year, and that was devastating for me. I knew I shouldn't have intervened but I saw you...being put in a situation you didn't deserve, no one deserves that kind of humiliation. Yes, you could have said different, but you speak your mind, you always have. I would like to think, that in another time or place things could have been better, for both of us. We were kids, back then, Severus. I mean when you and I first met, I believed you. You changed, we both did. Everyone told me not to trust you. Everyone told me what a snake you were....and I didn't want to believe it, because you were so nice to me, because you didn't act like I was someone who didn't belong. As much as I want to believe that it's over, that I can erase it from my mind, I don't know that I can. I want to forgive you, I want to go back to how it was before that day, but...I'm torn. I've lost a chance to be around my housemates, to be with my own house because I put so much faith in you, because I thought...your friendship was more important than to establish relationships in my own house and that is where I failed. A failure, I'll live with until I die, that is something I have to live with."
She watched as he continued to nurse the potion. It was one of the things she loved watching, the most. She was sure that the two of them were smart, both of them were well versed in potion making. "You're welcome. And I know, but I always liked watching you work. I always have. I'm sure Professor Slughorn does, but thank you. Yes, really. I want to try. I can't forgive you overnight, but you can work for it. Whether or not you want to, is your own choice. All I ask is you stop treating me like dirt whenever you're around those snakes....those friends of yours. That's all I ask. I can't go back to how it used to be, but I won't be put through what you put me through again, I can't. I refuse to go through that again. Understand?"
Okay, so maybe their friendship could never be what it used to be, but she'd take it into consideration. The point was only sure of one thing, that wherever this day led her down, she would go with it. Relationships were always complicated, and that was what mattered. She couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah, I'm usually able to withstand anything that I've been thrown into....but this... I don't know. I don't know if we have the strength for it. Just today, just talking it out, makes me feel better. I mean we'll never be how we once were, but maybe, one day, God willing, that we'll be able to be better than we ever were." She smiled. "We always got along, and that's why it was so hard for me to understand why you felt the need to say what you did but I'm not going to ask you to say it again. How was it different with me if you don't mind my asking? I meant more than what, as a friend? More than than that?" Her voice was softened, to the same tone as before, the tone that Severus was so used to. She wanted to know the truth. She would get it too one way or another.
