Getting flinched like that had been embarrassing, especially when so many people laughed or snickered at her. And that comment from James had made her cheeks heat up. This game had no mercy. There didn't even seem to be an option of picking one of a few favorites - it was most favorite or flinched...
The next question was asked and Leander sat quietly, listening to the answers from the others and the easy banter that passed between them. Leander was too self conscious and shy to act like that around anyone, though she wished things were different.
One girl had already been flinched this round and told that she was out of the game, and she just sat there sulking while her finger was still glued to the quill until the game ended. This time, Leander wasn't going to try and blur the truth, just tell it straight up. She really needed to stop over thinking things and just start doing, she'd just spent so long doing the opposite that it was hard to change now.
"Playing guitar at the lake with Danny." She knew that no one in the game knew who Danny was, so she just hoped she wasn't expected to explain. Admitting to playing guitar though, that was something she rarely did. If people saw her and found out, fine, but she never went around telling anyone.
She didn't get flinched at her answer and for that alone, she let out a sigh on relief. Looking back to the sofa where she'd been sitting earlier she saw that the older boy who'd been making jokes and stuff was just making his way back to the group with drinks in hand. Surprisingly, she hadn't been forgotten and accepted her gratefully, albeit somewhat awkwardly, in the hand that wasn't still stuck the the flinch quill. She drank a few mouthfuls face and winced at the bitter taste of it. All she wanted though, was something to stop her thinking so much and let her just have some fun, especially after the way she'd been feeling for the past few weeks.

Just like the rest of Gryffindor House, Layla was in dire need of some partying. So as she finished her makeup and adjusted her outfit, Layla grinned at her reflection in the mirror before practically skipping down to the common room. In retrospect, wearing high heels to a party where she would most likely be standing the whole time was probably a very bad idea. Though, after realizing that she looked good, Layla decided she would just deal with the pain.
Upon reaching the common room, Layla quickly spotted Leander and made her way over. She froze for a second, noticing her fairly obvious ― but still unmentioned ― crush seated on the floor with a bunch of other Gryffindors. Slowly, she approached the group and wedged herself between Leander and some other girl just as the second question was asked. She felt her face heat up at Sirius’ answer and figured she had a very noticeable blush covering her cheeks. Nevertheless, she found herself not at all surprised.
The other answers were slightly more boring, some girl Layla didn’t really know mentioned her stuffed dragon, Remus and his muggle fiction, James’ was weird... but Layla didn’t really know him that well. She sent a questioning look over at Leander, ‘Who’s Danny?’ the look asked. But now it was her turn, and from what Leander had told her about the game she wouldn’t be able to lie. Seeing the eyes turning to her, Layla felt her heart skip a beat. “I often write fictional stories about things I... want to happen. I change the names of the characters and everything, but I don’t think I’m all that creative with the swaps.” Her face was now bright red and Layla made a mental note to put a spell on that particular notebook. It would be terribly embarrassing if someone were to find it. She was worried she would have to be more descriptive, but since she didn't flinch it seemed to be okay.
::NOTE:: the outfit I linked to was my best attempt at a 70's look, but it probably didn't work out how I wanted. >.<

Serena was drunk, it went without saying really. She had after all started pretty early this afternoon and she was the pleasent drunk where she was more upbeat and lively then usual. A drunk Serena was usually the wildest Serena and this time was no different. She'd been the first on to the dance floor, and hadn't moved from it for the last 3 hours, she loved to dance and it didn't matter who it was with, she'd dance on her own if means be.
Swaying her hips, Serena ran her hands through her hair, looking down from the table she was currently stood on. Laughing she shook her head and ignored the few guys who wolf whistled in her direction. As the song changed her gaze swept over the room, and still dancing she smiled brightly, her eyes landing on the game happening across the room. The game which she could easily recognize as Flinch and it seemed to have already caught the attention of a lot of people, and the Marauders were there which meant the game was anything but innocent.
That's what made her climb down off the table, using the shoulders of the two nearest guys as leverage. Smiling at the them she swayed her way over to the group. "So this is were all the cuties are at..." she sang, ruffling Sirius's hair, as well as Remus's before making her way around the group. Winking at James she slid into the space at his immediate right, shooting a grin at Emily before turning to James. "You owe me a dance. she said simply, her eyes fixed onto the boy beside her, they'd been close friends for years but sadly were no longer as close as she would've liked, that of course didn't stop them from having some fun.
