"Boredom, boys, needs a cure." Granton said as way of greeting, flinging his arms around the shoulders of Evan Rosier and Stefan Cartwright, and looking between the two of them. "Are you in? Or are you out? Final chance to back out."
The three of them hard started talking a few nights ago, and the stories of everything that had happened so far came up. One of the main things mentioned was the attack that had happened at the start of the school year. Out of the group, Evan had been the only one involved in that, and lo and behold, the only one involved in what happened to the auror, too.
Evan really had been the busy bee of the group this year. Granton, for the most part, had kept his nose out of trouble, knowing that if he was caught doing anything untoward then his badge would be revoked, and he wasn't ready to give it up now that he had it. It provided too many opportunities for answers that he needed - that they all needed. The closest he'd been to any of the attacks that had happened this year was watching from the shadows as Dawlish was dragged off.
Now, the whole 'being a goody-two-shoes' thing? It was getting really boring, and it seemed that Granton wasn't the only one itching for some action around here.
Once they realized that their house wasn't the only one who was having a party on the Sunday night, and in fact, so were the Ravenclaws, it hadn't taken long before they were plotting something to do...
If they timed things right then no one would even know that they had left the party, and hopefully, what happened couldn't be traced back to them. It would be easy. Too easy. Even getting into the Ravenclaw tower wasn't going to be a boundary with Granton knowing all the passwords.
All they had to do was not get caught, and none of them wanted to see that happen.
Now it was the night of the party and it was getting pretty late - nearly 1:30 am according to the clock across the room. Even in their own party some people were starting to drift back towards their dorm rooms. So with the Ravenclaws? Their party was most likely dwindling now too, which made things much easier on their part.
They didn't want to attack them per say, just scare the crap out of them and remind them that even they weren't safe around here.
"We need the stuff then we're all ready to roll." So dark objects like a hand of glory were banned in Hogwarts. That didn't stop anyone from sneaking them in with them, did it? And it had to be said, Granton was pretty impressed that his friend had one at all. But it was only going to make this all so much easier for them. And so, so much more fun.
