Ferret sighed as she gazed into the mirror settled on her bed. She focused her energies into changing her eye color, trying to see if she could make herself look albino. So far no luck. But it was a slow night and she had actually finished her essays early today, rather than begging Lily to see hers minutes before they were do.
Sighing, the girl gave up for the night, rubbing her eyes. With having a rare gift like hers, it was difficult to find people to teach her how to use it. She had been learning through experiments and random passages in books. Perhaps she would just go see a professor and see what they thought.
Sighing, she looked around. Lily was doing work it seemed and it was far too quiet for Ferret's tastes. Taking a piece of parchment, she crumpled it into a ball and threw it gently at Lily's head.
"Hey Lil! I'm bored. Let's gossip!"

She had been up in Gryffindor tower in the girls’ dormitory. Tonight was a night that was just like any other. She had her books spread out in front of her and was working on her Charms essay. She had all the others done and so she was hoping she could finish it up and maybe get to doing something fun. She had been working all night on the essays and hadn’t really been talking to anyone else. She moved her hair behind her ear, as she had heard shuffling not too far from where she was sitting. And then suddenly she felt the ball of parchment hit her in the head.
“Hey! Alice, you know better than to throw something at me in order to get my attention! And what would you want to gossip about anyway?” She said as she looked toward the other Gryffindor as she looked at her friend.
“I have so much to get done, it’s not even funny.” She said as she took a glance over at her friend before allowing herself to go back to doing what it was she had been doing before she had been interrupted. Charms was one of her favorite classes and that was why she had been trying to finish it up. “Please tell me you’re not going to talk about snogging Sirius again.”
She asked as she knew how Alice had liked Sirius, though he was the only guy she had liked and that she also liked women, not that it was a problem. It was just who Alice was. She looked back toward her friend as she put the parchment she had been writing on for her Charms Essay down and put her quill away. "I suppose I could use a little bit of a break." She said with a small chuckle, as she was keeping her eyes peeled.
