"What's done is done...it's over now...we're past it...you've more than paid for what happened...though if I have to listen to any snide comments from Elena Haworth again, I won't be responsible for my actions."
Chase laughed. Ah yes... Elena. The even weirder part of the night than nearly going down on Lachie in the middle of the great hall. If there was one thing that he would never have expected to happen, it would be that he'd have one day been sitting and drinking and smoking and having a civilized conversation with a Slytherin. The whole memory of sitting with her was still a slightly amusing, somewhat confusing one. But, he had the feeling that bringing up that particular bit of information from Friday night was probably not going to be a good idea. After both occasions Emily and Elena had met the other night, it hadn't exactly ended well.
"Can't tell you how glad I am you and Lachie aren't in here getting hot and busy when I'm not around...a girl worries...especially considering how close you two are..."
He shuddered involuntarily at the idea and gave her a look. "We may be close, but we definitely aren't that close. That is one worry that you can safely vanquish forever. I mean, we talked things through and we can laugh about it and all, but the memories are still as clear as they were then, and really? Even standing too close to each other's beds or getting dressed in the same room is still a little bit awkward the last few days."
He flinched as the chip bounced off the side of his head but picked it up, grinning at Emily as he popped it in his mouth anyway. He picked up one of his own and threw it back off her, watching as it bounced off her chest and landed on her plate. Nice shot... if only he'd aimed it a little higher...
Chase licked his lips unconsciously, watching Emily as she shrugged of her cardigan and reached for the top button of her shirt. His mind went back to all the times that they'd spent together when he'd watch her dresses falling from her shoulders and revealing the stunning body that lay beneath them. Even though Emily only undid the first button his eyes continued to roam down her top, his imagination taking over, imagining her unbuttoning the rest and what lay beneath them.
He was so absorbed in the images in his mind that he didn't even hear what she said about the house elves. He was aware that she'd said something and gave a sort of 'mhmm' sound in reply, hoping that it was an answer that satisfied whatever it was she'd said.
Being honest, the things he could see in his head about her now were nothing to the things that had passed through his mind over the last few days, especially when he'd lay down at night and his mind had time to drift and wander. It seemed as if knowing his may not still have her only made him think of her more, and remember, in vivid detail, all the time they'd shared together over the past few weeks. It was almost frightening how fast they were moving, but he realized that he really didn't care, he just wanted to be with her.
Emily looked ridiculously tired and all Chase really wanted to do was finish eating then convince her to stay with him, to curl up with him in his bed and hold her while she slept. He pushed the previous thoughts and images from his mind. He didn't mind letting his mind stray to thoughts like those, but he definitely didn't want a repeat right now. He just wanted her to stay with him. Nothing more.
"So any chance I can interest you in a trip to Hogsmeade with lil' ol' me this weekend? Or you got plans with Lachie and Trent?"
Chase blinked a few times. "It's a Hogsmeade weekend?" He knew that the notices usually only went up about a week in advance, but he was pretty sure he hadn't seen anything mentioned about it. But who knew? It would be nice to have a day out of school this weekend...

Emily smiled at Chase as he spoke about how things were between both him and Chase, and she was happy things were good, a little awkward for obvious reasons but otherwise she was glad they were back to themselves. She couldn't imagine what a struggle it had been for them but they were two of the most important people in her life, seeing them kissing wasn't an image she was keen on reliving. "Okay I'll try not to worry in the future..." she teased, laughing lightly.
When he threw a chip back at her, she arched an eyebrow at him and chuckled. "Nice aim..." she remarked, picking up the chip he'd threw at her and popped it into her mouth like he had done with hers. She didn't miss how he seemed to zone out slightly but he at least appeared to be paying attention so she let it pass and didn't flick another chip at him like she was tempted to. Instead she continued to talk, hoping he'd chime in at some point.
It felt good being able to talk to him like this, all they were doing was hanging out and she was more than okay with that. There was potential for more to happen but she doubted it would due to the possibility his dorm mates could walk in at any possible moment. There was no secret she'd missed him in more ways than just one over the weekend, after all she'd given a part of herself to Chase that no other guy would ever get the chance to have again. He'd been her first and yes maybe it had happened far too quickly but she was passed caring, she knew he cared for her enough to want to stick around and make this workd and that was all she wanted.
"It's a Hogsmeade weekend?"
Looking at Chase she smiled slightly and shrugged her shoulders, popping the last bit of food on her plate into her mouth. There hadn't been much there to begin with but she'd eaten as much as she dared to at the moment. Putting the plate aside, she jumped off the bed and made her way over to Lachies side of the room. "This boy needs to find a new hiding place for his stash..." she chuckled, opening the small cabinet beside his bed and pulling out two cans of muggle coke. Turning to Chase she smiled and hopped back over to the bed.
"It's a Muggle drink you'll love it..." she said, handing one to Chase as she resumed her place on the bed. Popping open the lid she took a sip and sighed contentedly. Smiling softly she placed the drink on Chase's bedside cabinet and sat back against the headboard, feeling the softness of the cushions behidn her back. "In answer to your question, no it's not an official Hogsmeade weekend, but whose really going to miss us if we sneak off for the day...or evening?" she asked, surprising herself a little. She wasn't one to go out and intentionally break the rules but she had certain needs, "The sweet stash in my drawers is running out, plus I just really want to get away from the school, even if only for an hour..." she admitted, raising a hand to her mouth to stife a yawn.

Instead of answering him Emily put her empty plate to one side and hopped off the bed, making her way across to Lachie's side of the room. Chase's eyebrows pulled together in confusing. What the hell could she be getting from Lachie's side of the room that was going to answer his question?
He watches as she pulled out two cylindrical red things and made a comment about Lachie's stash. As she made her way back to him, he tried to get a good look at what she was holding. "Pretty sure I've seen him with them before. Though when he's said they're nice I've... never quiet believed him." He hadn't tried one before, but he entirely trust Lachie when it came to unfamiliar food and drink. How many times had he been tricked into eating the most disgusting flavor of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans? Actually, the cheesy rhubarb was way up there with the worst...
"It's a Muggle drink you'll love it..."
Emily handed one of the cans to him and he eyed it suspiciously. Did he really want to try it? Well... judging by Emily's reaction to it... it couldn't be all that bad, right?
He popped his open and took a sip, wincing slightly. "Wow.. that tastes awful." She shook his head and tried to get his head around the sugary taste of it. It was certainly unusual, there was no denying that. Chase tentatively took another sip before frowning down at it. It was weird as hell but... strangely appealing too. He placed his own can beside hers before turning to look at her. "I take it you don't get to drink too much of that stuff while you're at school, huh?"
He leaned over and moved the basket of food they'd just eaten from to the floor. Sure they hadn't tucked into the sweets or anything, but they could wait till later. With that basket out of the way he grabbed the second and pulled out the huge bowl of ice cream and the two spoons that came with it, before nudging that basket out of the way too.
Just to tease her, Chase kept hold of it while he walked the long way around his bed, sending her a cheeky wink. He didn't want to sit like they had been earlier so instead he moved so that he was sitting like she was next to her, leaning on the pillows. It was only once he was settles that he moved the ice cream so that it was within her reach. The spoons though, he wasn't handing over so quickly. He wanted to see her smile and laugh so he intended to have a little fun with her over it first.
While he'd been taking out the ice cream and making his was around to her, she'd been speaking.
"In answer to your question, no it's not an official Hogsmeade weekend, but whose really going to miss us if we sneak off for the day...or evening? The sweet stash in my drawers is running out, plus I just really want to get away from the school, even if only for an hour..."
Once settled, he looked at her. "You mean you want to break the rules and sneak out of school?" He gave her a look of mock-shock before grinning. "Well you already break curfew so what difference will it make?" He leaned over to her and planted a soft kiss on her cheeks, only moving back a few inches and waiting for her to look at him before he spoke again. "I think an evening in town can be arranged, Em. Though I'm wondering who's being the bad influence of who here."
He leaned it to kiss her, keeping her distracted while he scooped up a little of the ice cream on the end of his fingers, feeling the numbing cold. While she wasn't watching he brought his hand up and wiped the ice cream onto the base of her neck, just bellow her collar bones.
Pulling back quickly he laughed. Waiting to dodge whatever reaction she send his way. He just wanted to cheer her up a bit with some fun... then he was going to try and convince her to stay there to sleep. He really didn't want to let her go just yet.

"Wow.. that tastes awful...I take it you don't get to drink too much of that stuff while you're at school, huh?"
Emily watched Chase with an amused expression, laughing lightly she shook her head. She bit down on her lip, and brushed her hair behind her ear as he placed his drink beside hers. "It's lovely...and no, Mum and Dad refuse to send me anything like that. Mum doesn't actually allow anything like this in the house..." she chuckled lightly, remembering her Mum's horror at finding her daughters sweet stash. At the time it hadn't been too fun, Emily had had to stand in the bathroom with her Mum brushing her teeth for 20 minutes straight.
Seeing him retrieve the ice cream plus two spoons from the basket Emily's eyes widened slightly. She'd completely forgotton about the ice cream and a smile spread on her face as she half expected Chase to hand her a spoon. Instead her boy-friend stood up from the bed, shooting her one of his cheeky winks in the process that made her eyes narrow slightly. She shook her head fighting a smile as he walked around the bed, purposefully taking his time before he moved to settle beside her at the top of the bed, both of them against the pillow. Smiling softly Emily linked her arm through his, resting her face against his shoulder, pressing a kiss there before looking back up at him.
"You mean you want to break the rules and sneak out of school...I think an evening in town can be arranged, Em. Though I'm wondering who's being the bad influence of who here."
Emily rolled her eyes and laughed lightly at the look on his face when he spoke. Before she could respond to his teasing tone he pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. "It's being with you...you've been a bad influence ever since that first night we met in the Astronomy Tower...believe it or not I used to be a good girl...an evening in Hogsmeade sounds great though..." she said, shooting him a smile. She was really happy they'd met that first night in the Astronomy Tower, even if it hadn't gone smoothly, after all their first brief kiss had resulted in Emily freaking out and running back to her room, there was no denying she'd felt the sparks though...not that she would have admitted it then but she felt them the moment she'd turned to see who almost knocked her over the ledge of the tower.
When he leaned into kiss her, Emily returned it, inclining her head up slightly for better access. She lifted her hand resting it against his cheek, though before she could lean in closer something freezing cold touch her skin and she jumped slightly, breaking the kiss. "Oh my..." she gasped, quickly wiping a hand against the spot, she could clearly see now Chase had wiped ice cream. Looking up at him she narrowed her eyes slightly, "Dude! So not cool...!" she scowled at him, struggling not to smile. As she spoke she got a little ice cream on her fingers and slipped them into his shirt, via the top button which she'd opened. Wiping the ice cream against the top of his chest, she pulled her hand away with a satisfied smile, laughing lightly. The ice cream was no doubt now running down his chest, and she knew only too well how cold it was. "How do you like it..." she chuckled, sticking out her tongue at him before reaching over to grab a spoon, scooping some ice cream onto it she popped it into her mouth, shooting a smile at Chase.

As Emily jumped at the cold ice cream touching her, Chase moved back slightly, laughing. He watched as she wiped at it, missing bits, but before he could say anything she’d scooped up some herself and reached for his shirt. Usually he’d have tried to avoid it, but this time he really didn’t care. He heard her laugh and that was enough to make the sudden cold bearable. "How do you like it..."
Chase grinned at her, rather than answering, leaning down to lick the ice cream that she’d missed from her neck, sucking slightly on the sensitive skin before leaving a linger kiss in its place. He looked up at her with another grin. ”I like it very much.” He winked, moving slightly so he was closer to eye level with her. ”How about you? Taste good?”
He closed the distance between them again, covering her lips with his own, run his tongue lightly over her lower lip to lick away some more of the ice cream that remained there. He grinned at her, giving her a somewhat seductive, but equally as playful, look.

Emily felt like pouting when Chase barely flinched at the ice cream down his shirt, and she almost felt guilty knowing it was going to get his shirt itself messy. Before she could open her mouth though to suggest he go clean himself up, Chase shot her one of his knee wobbling smiles before leaning down and running his tongue along her neck, causing her to shiver lightly. He pressed a soft kiss to the spot before pulling away and she chuckled lightly, shaking her head at him, he knew exactly how to distract her.
"Glad to hear it." she replied, as he winked at her. Her breath caught in her throat as he moved in closer to her, his voice lowering slightly as he spoke, ”How about you? Taste good?” Again he gave her no time to respond before he closed the distance between them and pressed a kiss to her lips, breaking off way too soon to grin at her, his look sending another shiver down her spine. "Who said you could pull away..." she said before pulling him back in for another kiss, her fingers threading through his hair.
She nipped lightly at his bottom lip before letting her tongue lightly run over it, kissing him deeply. Two can play at this game she thought letting her leg skim up against his, as she pressed her body tighter to his. Sure she'd gotten a reaction she broke the kiss as quick as she had started it, shot him a bright smile and reached for the ice cream, taking it from his hands she sat it on her lap and got a spoonful, putting it into her mouth, "Dinner seems to be running late..." she commented, looking back at him innocently.

He kept the kiss brief before pulled back to grin at her, but that was quickly followed by a comment from Emily, and her pulling him back in for another kiss. He made a sound of approval and, as she pressed herself close to him, placed one arm around her back to try and encourage her even closer. He still couldn’t believe that after the weekend they’d just had they were actually here, like this, now. It was as if nothing had ever happened and that there had never been anything standing between them trying to tear them apart.
Chase move his hand up to thread through her hair, the other still on the bed below him to hold himself up. Emily was pressed close to him and was kissing him deeply - a kiss he was more than happy to return.
He let her hair run lightly through his finger before allowing his hand to run down the length of her back again, continuing lower. He moaned lightly, loving the feel of her close to him and, despite knowing that she needed sleep and more food, he couldn’t help but want more of her, and want her closer still.
Emily chose that moment to pull away from him and sent him a smile before grabbing the ice cream that Chase had all but forgotten about. He blinked several times trying to get his head around the sudden change. Minx…
He just shook his head and laughed as she tried to casually talk about dinner over running. ”Not really… I’m pretty sure we’re usually still in the Hall at this time.” Though when ‘this time’ was, Chase really didn’t care. All he cared about was the fact that Emily was here with him, and he knew that everything was fine between them.
His shirt was beginning to feel sticky from the ice cream that had been running down his chest and so while Emily tucked into the ice cream Chase unbuttoned the rest of his shirt, shrugging it off before using it to wipe away the remain s of the melted cream. Who needed shirts anyway? The shirt was quickly abandoned to the floor and Chase lay down on his bed, hands behind his head. For several long minutes he just watched Emily as she devoured the ice cream alone. He didn’t really care about eating it too much. Sure, sweets and sugar and ice cream and stuff were nice, but he didn’t have the same addiction as Emily and Lachie seemed to have.
After a while, Chase reached out and slid an arm around Emily’s back, and smiled up at her from where he lay. ”Lie with me?”

Emily was slightly satisfied that Chase had responded to the kiss the way she'd wanted him to, though on the flip side she'd managed to get herself worked up slightly. Eating the ice cream was the distraction she'd needed to calm herself somewhat. Seeing the slightly bemused look on his face made her smile widen as she spoke to him about dinner, her smile only widening when he laughed and shook his head at her attempt.
As he spoke, Emily looked down at the tub of ice cream on her lap, feeling slightly more normal. It was insane the effect sugar had on her emotional state, enough sugar and everything was right in the world. Twirling the spoon upside down, she licked the remainding ice cream from it, and when she went to get another scoop she made the mistake of looking at Chase. Her eyes widened ever so slightly, her body temperature shot up and her heart began thundering against her chest as he shrugged off his shirt, revealing his beautifully sculptured torso.
Before he caught her staring she turned back to her ice cream, willing her heart to calm down. Feeling the bed jostle, Emily knew he'd lay down but still didn't turn and for several long minutes they sat in comfortable silence until Chase finally decided to break it asking her to lie with him. Seeing his smile her own appear and she nodded her head, finding comfort in his touch on her back,"Didn't have to get shirtless to get me to lay with you though babe...though, it is a huge plus for me... she teased lightly.
Smiling she reached out for the basket, placing the ice cream in it, before returning it to the floor. Turning she smiled softly at Chase and leant down pressing her lips to his in a soft kiss, before shifting so her head rested on his shoulder, her arm going over his chest as she curled into his side. Now this had to be the most comfortable she'd been all weekend, and she released a soft sigh, letting her eyes close. It didn't take long before Emily slipped into the most comfortable sleep she'd had in a long time, curled up with Chase...
