Emily had rolled her eyes good naturedly at Lachlan when he'd pulled out the pinky swear cliché...shaking her head at him she simply laughed and nodded her head, "I know you'll try...Hestia's an extremely lucky girl." she said truthfully. Sure things hadn't worked out between them but she wouldn't have changed the experience for anything, after all she'd gotten a good friend out of a failed relationship, and Emily doubted that was a very common occurrence. She was one of the lucky few who it happened to she figured with a small smile.
"Does well to know those spells, especially with your reputation of trouble." she said with a shake of her head, glad his wrist was better. Truth be told, she'd taken it upon herself to learn a few healing spells, it saved on unnecessary trips to the Hospital Wing, especially if your injury had been sustained after a run in with one of the Slytherin's. Tucking her wand back into the waistband of her pants, Emily took a step away from Lachlan before they both turned and left the classroom. It was getting to curfew she realised with a start as she glanced at her watch, time really does fly when ones having fun she figured.
"Don't think on it, you know where I am next time you feel like practising...though feel free to drag Trent with you one day...I think it would be fun to try a few spells on him." Emily said jokingly as she pulled out of the embrace Lachlan had just locked her into. With a small wave and a smile, Emily watched as Lachlan turned and began making his way back to his common room. With a slight hop she turned and began to do the same, looking forward to getting back to the Gryffindor common room. Something about being out alone around the castle as night fell set her on edge, but with a shake of her head she stopped her thoughts in their tracks and began looking forward to reading that new book her Father had sent her only this morning.
