'Ello, 'ello all! My name is Zandyr Slyvester Yaxley and I am, you guessed it, a Slytherin! Despite popular beliefs, I'm not one of the bad crowed, and It's only really because of the family name that I've ended up in this house. I guess when I came into this school I was practically begging the hat to put my into Slytherin, even though it had its doubts. Now I just wish I'd let it put me wherever it wanted to, though I'm not sure exactly which house that would be... Any way, if you hear the name and suddenly get a gripping feeling of fear, then don't blame me for that! Blame my father... and my mother... and both my brothers... Yeah... Blame my family, but don't blame me. I'm just the black sheep badly painted white.
Both of my older brother's left school and now work pretty much full time terrifying the b-jesus out of people for that Lord Voldie guy, and my father is totally down with that. I don't think my mother is a part of that, but she din't exactly miss all-loving either, she's a force to be reckoned with on her own. Me? Well... I just don't see it really. I don't understand why they would want to be part of it and I don't support what they believe in. I'm a bit of an...okay a lot - of an outcast in side of my family. I try and act like I'm with them when they're around, but on my own I'l so unlike them it's unreal. I think the only reason they accept me right now is because I'm in Slytherin. If I'd been in any other house I'd probably have been out of the door faster than I could say Quidditch!
But, moving away from that. I'm fifteen, Slytherin, and an unlucky February 29th birthday, so I don't really... 'get' a birthday so to speak, which really kind sucks. I'm just starting my fifth year at Hogwarts this year, and I'm hoping to be able to get through the year without anyone trying to force me to get involved with those death eater folks. I really, really don't want to have anything to do with that. I'll leave that to my folks. Me? I prefer to be a happy, friendly, party person who has fun, not one of those dark and mysterious people who glare at people and cast curses in the dark. Na-da. Not me. I can look the part - I definitely have the dark and brooding Slytherin look when I want it, courtesy of genetics, but other than that, I'm a pretty un-Slytherin Slytherin.
What do I like... let's see... parties, drinking, having fun, girls... erm... snogging for definite. I like... pumpkin pastries, and toffee. Holy crap I like toffee! And Coffee. I like 'ffee' things, though I can't think of any more than toffee and coffee right now, but I'm sure there are some others out there, and I'll no doubt like them too. I think that's my new rule from now on - I like all things 'ffee'! Simple.
I basically am just that. A simple kind of guy. It doesn't take much to please me at all - I'm pretty laid back and chilled, despite what people might think of me. Seriously, do not judge me based off my last name, or you will be sadly mistaken. That's one of the few things that I really hate, along with all this nonsense about how one sort of blood is purer than the next. What bull! Blood is blood. From what I understand, it doesn't even work in this whole 'pure, half, mud' way anyway. I read somewhere that the muggle talk of it in some kind of alphabetical thing, with lots of A's and B's and stuff like that, and it's all something to do with genetics and all that, which kind of makes more sense tan the wizarding view. (see why I don't fit into my family yet?)
My all time favorite thing is probably my wand right now. It's made of dragon heartstring and willow, but it has this really cool groove down it where the wood is like...loads darker than the rest of it, and it just makes a really cool pattern and it feels really cool too.
Anyway, if there's anything more you want to know about me... you best be my friend then, huh! Ciao!
