What was a student to do, when bored on a Friday within the castle walls? Why he was to sneak out and join the village residents in a start of term party. After all the shopkeepers were in good spirits, the students were back to spend their summers hard earned money. And if you found the right shopkeeper, he would buy you a drink or so. It was a lovely thing to learn really. Who didn't want free drinks? Better yet, who didn't want to party?!
His summer had been a rather dry existence as his mother didn't want him embarrassing the family with his foolishness. So instead he was forced to watch others drinks at the many parties their family had to attend as a unit. No, his mother couldn't just go by herself. What kind of family would they look like should the children or husband stay behind? It was crazy what this woman had on her priorities. It wasn't to say he didn't love his mother, he just liked to be around her for short periods of time. Not summer long lengths either. A visit once a month would be sufficient for him.
Tonight was going to be his first party night in what felt like years. He could already taste the liquid deaths, firewhiskey, and spiced tea. Oh the glorious liquids called Liquor. He had made it quiet obvious in his hurry to get down to the Three Broomsticks, pulling on clothes, straightening his hair and last but not least, brushing his teeth. He was sure his entire common room knew what he was up to. Not that they said anything.
It wasn't before long he had cleared the school and made his way to the village perimeter. And only moments after that he had the door to the pub open and was standing at the bar ordering his first drink. A spiced tea, tasted like a sugary lemony drink with a kick of vodka. Something nice to start of with, next would be a liquid death followed by a firewhiskey. By that point he should have a good enough buzz going to really loosen up. Paying for his first drink he sat down on a nearby stool and started to drink.

Olivia was already growing restless of being back in school, maybe it was because of the strict curfew she was now having to abide by. Most people were on edge, following curfew because of what had happened to Emily Prescott before break. The forest itself was strictly off limits to all students and being out after dark is a huge no no. Was that going to stop Olivia though, maybe, usually she'd try and respect these new rules, being out wasn't safe but damn she was restless and it was a Friday night.
Summer had been complete and utter torture. Being an outcast in ones own family had quite a negative effect on someone. Olivia always became someone else at home, someone quieter, who walked with her head down, waiting for the inevitable put down, the snide remarks, the total lack of warmth from her parents, her brothers. If anything she seemed to spend more of her time away from her family, hidden or hanging out in the kitchens with the house elves who'd basically raised her anyway, due to her parents complete lack of interest in her.
So yes, coming back to Hogwarts was just like coming home, really coming home. At least here people acknowledged her existence, she had friends here and she was free to be her party loving self without fear of another put down coming her way. Of course she knew she'd have to tame her ways, especially with what had happened recently but as long as she could get away with it, she'd try and carry on for as long as she could. The end of her first week back at school and she was ready to celebrate it's end, unwind but her luck being as it was there was no one around to escape the castle with, so for now, at least until she got down to Hogsmeade she was alone.
It didn't take her long to get to the small village and breathing a sigh of relief she made her way into the The Three Broomsticks, practically skipping as she entered. Almost instantly her body relaxed and she smiled brightly, greeting some of the patrons who'd she'd come to know on a first name basis over the last year or so of coming here. They knew her well enough that the bartender even served her now, so ordering her drink she slipped onto a bar-stool, ordering a drink containing cola and vodka. Tasty and her usual first drink of the evening. Smiling brightly at the bartender she turned on her stool, leaning back against the bar and before her eyes landed on someone familiar. Maybe tonight she wouldn't be drinking alone. "Hunter Morgan...out after curfew...naughty..." she teased, going to sit beside Hunter, a fellow Hufflepuff. "Who you down here with?" she asked, taking a sip of her drink.

Hunter was more than happy he had gotten away from the school without so much as assessing glance from student, professor, ghost or Filch. Filch and Mrs Norris. It was the bane of his existence, looking for any excuse to ruin a good party. He had only been caught once buy the old git, but it was a more than painful experience. Glares and negative words (not to mention little joyous dances that he actually caught someone) sent his way for what felt like hours as Filch rounded up Professor Sprout. Sprout, as gleeful and joyous as she was, could be awfully scary when mad. It was surprising really, she looked like a carnivorous animal ready to eat its meal. He had lost some house points, scrubbed some trophies and then everything was back to normal. Thank heavens.
It didn't help either that there was a brutal attack within the grounds the previous year, making patrols double and punishments triple. Professors were cracking down on bullying it seemed too. It was sad to think it took an event such as that to get the professors to step in and help students in need. Everyone knew that Slytherins looked down upon the rest of the school. It was just a fact. They would pull less than harmless pranks causing the victim humiliation or pain.
He shook his head, pulling himself out of his negative thoughts. He had escaped the walls of Hogwarts and was about to find a good time. It was much needed and he couldn't wait. Looking to the bartender he waved him over, ordering two liquid deaths. The dark green with black swirled shots were placed in front of him and him paid for them with thanks and a couple coins. He wasted no time in tipping them back, the burning awful taste followed shortly after by a wonderful and addicting minty taste. It made you forget that you were cursing the shot moments ago.
The establishment seemed to be picking up, a good sign for Hunter. It meant a promising night of fun in the village. Shooting his second shot, he was surprised to hear a voice calling him out. His name ringing clearly in his already somewhat muddled mind. Turning to the source a large grin split across his face. Olivia Knightly. His fellow puff. "Why hello there Miss. knightly. What a surprise to run into you here." he said with a large smile. He was past the shy sober stage, which he spent most of his life and was now in his outgoing getting drunk stage. The transformation from withdrawn to party animal complete. "Why I am here with you obviously." he told her in response as she sat next to him.

Olivia smiled brightly at Hunter as she sat down beside him. "It shouldn't be a surprise Mr Morgan, you know me...hate being cooped up especially on a Friday night..." she said, playfully nudging him with her shoulder, laughing lightly, "...couldn't convince anyone to escape with me....thought I'd be going solo tonight."
she pouted slightly before quickly downing the entire glass in her hand before pushing it across the counter towards the bartender. "Looks like I have some catching up to do..." she said, nodding to the two shot glasses the bartender also picked up from in front of Hunter. Waving down the barman she ordered another round of shots for both her and Morgan and another drink for herself. The bartender chuckled and walked away to get the drinks, and smiling again, Olivia span around on her stool putting her arms in the air before coming to a stop by wrapping her right arm around Hunters shoulder and leaning against him with a sigh. "I hope you realize Mr Morgan that at some point tonight you will be dancing with me..." she informed him before shooting him a bright smile and playfully tapping the end of his nose before she straightened, eyeing the drinks now being put in front of them eagerly. So far she'd had one drink and she was feeling a hell of a lot better than she had all week, all summer to be exact. A night of fun was definitely what she needed, anything to take her mind off how crap the world around them seemed to be going lately, turned out not even Hogwarts was safe anymore and that was a sobering thought. Though not one she wanted to linger on too long, "You do realize it's going to be a b***h trying to sneak back into the school tonight..." she said pulling a face as she pushed two shots in front of Hunter and grabbed her own, holding one up and waiting for him to do the same. Smiling she threw back the first one and swallowed, shaking her head before slamming the glass down, "One hell of a kick but they're good...." she sang sticking her tongue out playfully before reaching for the next shot. Hunter shook his head lightly, he had all forgot about her calling him Mr. Morgan, a grin making its way to his face. Usually he was called either Hunt or Hunter. Occasionally Morgan. Hardly ever Mr. Morgan. "Of course, how silly of me to forget. You being the party animal you are." he said to her, reprimanding himself jokingly. Picking up his drink he sipped it before laughing and shaking his head. "That's a lie. I never remembered being asked to escape. I think I would have remembered." he responded. Looking down to the empty glasses in font of him he nodded his head agreeingly. She did have a fair bit to catch up. He was well into his drinks by now. Enjoying each one like it was his last.
Much to his drunk delight she had ordered more shots. He wondered come morning if he would regret this night. His head pounding and the feeling of being sick threatening his otherwise boring morning. He shrugged of the impending hangover and grinned his head. He felt her arm wrap around him, followed by her leaning on him. Without hesitation he wrapped his own arm around her waist holding her to him. This normally would not have happened should the Hufflepuff boy be sober. Nor would he have nodded his head in agreement as she mentioned him dancing. Shows the power of liquor and how much he indeed had missed it over the summer. "I suppose I may do you the honour of a couple dances." he said to her, a hint of a slur appearing as the alcohol took effect. His nose wrinkled as she tapped it and he chuckled softly. She was one of a kind, that was for sure.
Looking to the shots placed in front of them, he grinned, excited for the liquid to go down his throat. He turned to her, watching her lips, ensuring he heard her words right. At this rate he would be the drunk who misheard words. He nodded his head at her words. The previous years attack sealed the school off. Life was more difficult for those who wanted to sneak off, that was for sure. No doubt it was for the better, but for Hunter and his need to party, it was unfortunate. Picking the shot up, he tapped it to her own and downed it. It was a perfect mood picker upper. Tossing the barkeep a couple coins he ordered four liquid deaths. The minty green but deadly shots were sure to catch her up. It didn't take the barkeep long before they too were set in front of the two students. "To a good night." he said to her.

"Well if I'd been able to find you handsome I would have tagged along with you..." she replied, sticking out her tongue at him playfully before smiling. Rolling her shoulders she moved a little in time to the music playing, unable to help doing so really, it was like her body instinctively reacted to music. Her smile widened all the more when she saw Hunters eyes fall to the drinks, his arm wrapping around her slim waist as she wrapped her own around his shoulders. It was such a delight to see him out, any normal day he was the quietest person, more reserved, her complete opposite in other words but get a drink down him and he was a hell of a lot more loose. This was proven when he only nodded his head, and agreed to a little dancing.
Olivia clapped her hands together, "Tonight is definitely going to be a good night," she said, laughing as he crinkled his nose and chuckled at her. Throwing back her shot she barely reacted to the burning liquid, a little bit down to how much she drank on nights out, she was more than used to certain alcoholic drinks by now. Probably not good considering her age but she didn't care, she was young and enjoyed being so, so where was the harm in that really? To her surprise, Hunter ordered them more shot, Liquid Death shots to be exact, four of them. Smiling she leaned against his shoulder again, having no real concept of personal space. Really she'd always been a touchy feely person, most people were used to her by now. Leaning her arm on his shoulder she smiled, tapping the glass to Hunters, "To a very good night." she agreed, before throwing the shot back.
The liquid was stronger than their previous shots, and shaking her head, Olivia slammed her shot glass back down onto the counter, "Woo!" she exclaimed, smiling as she smacked her lips together. Her entire body tingled with the after effects of the drink but they were welcomed reactions and smiling she looked down at Hunter before her eyes drifted around the bar, not missing some of the disapproving looks they got from the more snobbish Wizards and Witches there tonight. Rolling her eyes she turned to Hunter, "Remind me to sneak you out into Muggle London one weekend...they have some interesting clubs and bars, it could be a lot of fun..." she said to him, lifting her other shot and holding it out to his, before throwing that back to and slamming the empty shot glass back down onto the counter. "I really like them..." she said laughing lightly.

Hunter grinned at the young girl beside him. "Well I was in plain site. You just didn't look hard enough." he teased playfully,a hint of red touching the boys cheeks. Sure he was getting drunk, becoming more outgoing with each drink. But a compliment none the less would hit the somewhat sober boy deep down. "But I was itching to get away from the school. So you may have missed me." he added as an afterthought nudging her lightly. His arm held her petite figure lightly against himself, not wanting to hold to tightly. It was only a friendly gesture after all. He didn't want to do anything he would regret come morning.
Hunter nodded his head again, a good night indeed he thought silently agreeing with her words. The shots were always welcome. It was his preferred way of getting intoxicated. It gave you more bang for your buck. Drinks diluted the alcohol a little to much for his own personal liking. Once he was drunk he would sip away on drinks for the remainder of the evening to keep his buzz level high. The shots bubbled away in front of them. Two each, it would be a butt kicker, that's for sure. Especially considering his level of drunk already. It would get him to that much needed buzz. He slid two of them in front of her, it was quite obvious two each, but he just wanted to reinforce. She was doing them, whether she wanted to or not. Picking one up, he clinked it to hers before following suit and taking the shot back in one swig.
The shots burned going down, but after they were down gave a lovely mint taste. It was addicting really, made you forget the previous disgust you had for the drink. "Delicious huh? Once you get over the initial shock of it that is." he said smiling largely, picking up the second shot and holding it up to her. Don't slow down or you will pass out. Simple as that. Keep the momentum going. Always. At was his own drunk motto. He didn't waste time, as she lifted her own hand with the shot, he downed it. The burning sensation more quickly replaced with the minty one. With each shot, the mint overpowered the harsh. It was wonderful.
Looking to her he nodded his head, A day in the muggle clubs would be entertaining. Something he for sure wouldn't turn down. He just hoped they would be able to sneak out to the muggle world. If the school tightened up the lockdown any more they would be stuck for sure. "I will take you up on that offer. Hope you don't regret it after this night," he told her a smile playing on his lips.

Olivia smiled and ruffled his hair playfully, taking great pleasure in seeing the red tint to his cheeks. It really was adorable, how different he was after a few drinks, usually it was next to impossible to get him to be this relaxed and at ease when he was sober, didn't mean she wouldn't try. No, it would be interesting to see the contrast between now and then, she was the same all around, she only became a little more lively after a few drinks. Though that was really about it. She smoothed out his hair, and playfully poked his cheek, "Well next time I'll be sure to come looking for you first..." she said with a firm nod of her head.
The shots burned, but in a pleasant, almost welcoming way she hadn't really realized how much she'd missed enjoying a drink over the holidays. Really she could have used it, especially with her family, if she could even call them that, sure they were blood related but she knew without a shadow of a doubt they didn't care for her in the way that a family should care about one of their own. As far as her parents were concerned, she was a mistake she knew this, they'd told her plenty of times over and over. "They are delicious...strong but good." she agreed, shooting him a bright smile as she felt the shots beginning to kick in and it was a welcome sensation, she really was beginning to feel loose and more like her old self.
When he nodded his head she smiled brightly and clapped her hands together, doing a small little celebratory dance beside him, "Awesome, I'm going to hold you to that. You'll love it and we'll have a blast that's for sure..." she said, she'd been sneaking out of school for long enough to know ways in and out of the castle without getting caught. So even with all the lock-downs on the school she knew she could still get away with sneaking in and out. As a song began playing she made a sound of approval, "Wooh!" she exclaimed, stepping away from the bar where she began dancing, one of the only people in fact to be doing the dancing, meaning she was getting a few funny looks, "Going to join me or leave me hanging here?" she asked Hunter, wiggling out her fingers towards him.

Hunter couldn't help himself, her smile was contagious and he beamed at her as she playfully ruffled his hair. He could feel his face returning to its normal shade of pale. Maybe he was just getting to drunk to care now. It wouldn't surprise him if e was drunk at this point after all. He had drank a fair bit in the last little while, getting especially carried away by the surprise visit of Olivia. Returning to the present and out of his drunken thoughts, Hunter couldn't help but lightly tickle her sides as she attempted to smooth out his previously ruffled hair, all while hoping that she was in fact ticklish. "Yes, see to it you do." he responded playfully, tapping the tip of her nose with his last syllable.
It seemed the two were the perfect company for the other that night. Both celebrating their return to Hogwarts by drinking in their favorite town within their favorite pub. Hunter was quite content that Olivia had joined him, is night otherwise having the uneventful air to it. Now as they slammed back shot after shot, it made for more entertainment, more fun. "They are only strong to begin with. If you continue to drink them although, they taste more and more only like the minty aftertaste. Whether your too drunk or it is nicer to you with each shot, I dunno." he told her with a grin in reply. It was obvious the two of them were inebriated at this point, not that Hunter cared, or the barkeep (he after all was making money).
He had never thought of extending his partying outside Hogwarts and the Village of Hogsmeade, both usually providing enough entertainment to keep his occupied. But the thought of heading out to London was an appealing one. He was sure they could get into all sorts of trouble there. As she did her own celebratory dance, Hunter burst out laughing all while nodding his head at her words. She could definitely hold him to that, no issues there. "I don't think you would leave me astray." he added as confirmation they would indeed have fun.
Hunter faintly recognized the song that had begun to play, the one Olivia obviously approved of as she started dancing on the spot, his arm finally falling away from her waist as she did so. As she wiggled her fingers out to him, taking him up on his offer of drunken dancing he sighed playfully, shrugging his shoulders in defeat before reaching out an taking her hand with his own, and twirling her into him. The more drunk he got, the better dancer he became too.
