Too many things had come up recently that had stopped Georgie from following through with the threats she'd made oh so many months ago, but now that she had the time she wasn't going to waste any more of it. This whole thing had started back in October at the halloween feast, and she'd made it clear that she was intending to to see things through not long after Valentines, and look at things now! It was almost June and she was still no closer to achieving her goal. Well, she going to now.
Georgina picked a time when she knew Granton would be alone, and she headed to where she knew she'd find him. He tended to tuck himself away in a corner in the prefects lounge on a Sunday night, and use it as a chance to catch up on the weeks prefect work. Well, after a long weekend filled with rebellious students there was no wonder that he was getting piled under work, especially with the head girl stuck in the hospital after an unfortunate run in with a curse object. Purely a coincidence, of course.
After leaving a note on Elena's pillow in her best imitation of Granton's writing, Georgie headed upstairs to find him. She was going to get this done no matter what it took.
When she got there, Georgie noticed a light on in the room that joined with the main room of the prefects lounge, and it didn't take a genius to work out that it was a small bathroom. Smirking, Georgie slipped off her plain black robe, leaving her only in a thin silk wrap over her specially selected underwear. She positioned herself where Granton would see her when he came out of the bathroom, and she blocked the way between him and his work, leaning against a table seductively, revealing, but not overly so.
She was a pro at this. She knew exactly how to wrap him around her little finger.

Granton had headed into the small bathroom that was joined onto the Prefect's Lounge and splashed cold water over his face. This was the last thing he wanted to be doing with his time and he was so bored with this same repetitive routine of work that he'd well and truly had enough. All he ever seemed to do these days was Head Duties, because the prefects just became more and more useless as the year went on, rather than improving in their performance. And of course, now the head girl was in the hospital, that just doubled his work load.
With a frustrated sigh, Granton headed back into the main room, kicking his shoes off and not really caring where they went. It wasn't like anyone else ever came in here anyway while he was-
Or maybe people did come in while he was in there after all... A certain, almost undressed someone who was probably the last person Granton would expect to see. Maybe Elena... he'd kinda expect something like this from Elena. But Georgina? This was certainly a surprise, but he was willing to hear her out.
"What are you doing in here?"

Georgie didn't have to wait long before Granton emerged from the bathroom, and she could see the surprise flicker across his face. "Waiting for you. What else?"
Georgina leaned back until her thin gown fell open a little further, revealing more skin. Granton might have this 'thing' going with Elena right now, but he was still a guy, and he was still something of a sexual predator, which is why she knew this was going to be an easy accomplishment tonight.
She uncrossed her legs and straightened up, striding towards him seductively, hips swaying. "You work too hard, darling. You need to just..." She stopped in front of him and her hands went to the front of his pants, "Relax a little, don't you think?"
Even though his words resisted her actions, his body didn't. She could feel him a her hands slid into his pants and it was clear that his body and his mind weren't on cooperating terms tonight. Georgina wasted no time working the bottom buttons on his shirt and pulling him backwards towards the couch with her until her back pressed against the back of the couch. She let go of Granton to push herself up so she was perched on the back, her think robe falling away from her. "What are you waiting for?" She didn't care about the games, she just wanted the action.

Granton was still confused as to why Georgina would be here, like this, and coming onto him in such a way. As far as he knew she'd never really expressed any interest at all in him, so why now?
Granton knew he should say no to Georgie, and he knew that he shouldn't do this, but even as he said the words he still didn't move, and he didn't resist her when she reached for him. Desire stirred despite his mind telling him this was wrong, and he moved willingly with her, hands reaching for her in return.
She perched herself on the back of the couch. "What are you waiting for?"
Granton couldn't draw his eyes away, he body craving something other that the sight of more work and the evidence that the prefects were useless. "I shouldn't... Elena..."

"I shouldn't... Elena..."
Georgina rolled her eyes and tugged Granton closer. "I thought you two were just friends with benefits?" She cooed. "Isn't the whole point of that the fact you can be with other people? If you're not, then why not just say you're exclusive?" Georgie paused dramatically. "So that's what she meant..." She muttered to herself. Georgie wasn't above making things up if it meant getting what she wanted.
She played into Granton's confusion. "Well, it's no wonder she's getting fed up! You're probably looking far too clingy if you're not with holding your end of the bargain. There are more female in the school willing to have sex with you and just her, but you never leave her alone."
It wasn't the truth, but it would get her what she wanted. And, with a bit of luck, Elena would be here before too long and her plan would have worked perfectly.

Granton said nothing, just led his gaze drift away. He'd never really thought about it that way before... they weren't exclusive in any way, and never had been, but it seemed like Granton had forgotten that little fact. He wasn't going to deny that his feelings for Elena had grown immensely over the last few months, but she'd shown no signs of wanting anything but the sex. How foolish had he been?
"What?" What the heck did that mean?
Well damn... he'd certainly mucked up a bit, hadn't he? But if Elena was that fed up with him then why didn't she just say so? She never looked annoyed or anything. As far as he knew she enjoyed their time together so...when had things changed? Why had he been blind to it?
Georgina had a point. Granton couldn't keep going to Elena all of the time or she'd get fed up with him. Or she'd work out that he had deeper feelings for her and then he'd definitely be up sh*t creek. She wouldn't want anything to do with him after that. He risked losing their current agreement.
Well, Georgie was here and offering herself to him right now, so he couldn't really refuse, but it would definitely only be a one time thing. Granton knew how much the two girls despised each other, and he wasn't going to hurt Elena that way, either.
It looked as if Georgina was going to say something else but Granton slammed his mouth to hers with a mumbled 'shut up' and wasted no time in hurrying things along a little.
What he wasn't expecting, however, was to hear the door open across the room from him... He glanced up and saw blond... Oh sh*t...

Elena smiled as she walked into the common room, avoiding anyone and everyone as she made her way up to her room. Her mind was racing, her heart pounding wildly, nervously inside her chest. Today she'd made a decision, a decision to come clean. Her and Granton had been doing this same dance for a long time now, and he was leaving school soon. She'd come to the decision she didn't want that to happen without him knowing how she truly felt about him.
For a long time she'd tried to keep these feelings hidden, not wanting to ruin what they had. There was still a chance he wouldn't feel the same and she'd only end up humiliating herself but she'd decided it was worth the risk. Today she'd tell Granton that she loved him. In fact she was head over heels for him and needed him to know. As if by fate she entered her room and immediately spotted the note on her bed. A bright smile highlighted the blondes face and without hesitating she dropped it back down onto her bed, beside her bag and turned before leaving her room. Once again heading out of the common room and towards the prefects lounge. Lucky for her Granton had given her the password a long time ago.
Running her fingers through her now shoulder length blonde locks she stopped in front of the prefects lounge, her eyes drifting to look down either side of the corridor first. Biting her lip she smiled, took a breath and pushed open the door. Nothing in the world could have prepared her for the sight she was greeted with. She stopped in the doorway, her hand on the door handle and every good feeling inside her vanished, instead being replaced by a cold, empty, gut wrenching feeling. Her eyes flickered between Georgina and Granton, how had she not seen this coming. Georgina had been right, she'd finally succeeded.
"I'm...erm..." she was stunned, struggling to breath, her heart literally breaking into little shards of pieces in her chest and she fought the tears that threatened to fall. "Sorry..I didn't...um..." she stuttered over her words, and quickly looked away from Granton as the first tear fell down her cheek. Looking down she licked her bottom lip, and shook her head and stepped back closing the door behind her. Covering her mouth she stifled a sob, feeling incredibly weak for succumbing to such emotions as she ran back to her room.

Her plan had worked perfectly, and her words had gone straight to heart. It seemed like it didn't even require a lot of convincing to make Granton believe that what she'd said was true. Well, it made her job easier at least. She couldn't help but smirk when Granton all but attacked, and she swiftly kept things moving.
All the while, Georgie listed for sound of the door opening that would mark Elena's arrival. When it finally did, Georgie looked over her shoulder with a smug yet sadistic smirk on her face. "Oops..." She said in a mocking, baby like voice. "Looks like somebody found her note."
Georgie's job was done as she watched Elena flee from the room again. Smirking, she turned to look at granton again. She didn't care if he wanted nothing more to do with her now, she could deal with her own business, but this had all been about Elena, and success was hers.

Granton froze in his tracks as the door opened and he spotted Elena standing there. Despite everything that Georgina had just said, the look he saw on her face seemed to go against everything he'd just heard, and he had the feeling that he'd just made a very, very big mistake.
"Elena..." The words were little more than a breathless gasp, and he just stood there staring, not sure what to think. He heard Georgina speak and looked to her sharply. "Note? What note?" Understanding sunk in and anger welled up inside him, and he shoved Georgina roughly away from him, not caring about what happened. "You f*cking B*tch! You set this up!" Anger burned through him and his blood positively boiled. Everything she'd said had been a lie all along.
Elena had already disappeared out of the door to go only god knew where, but Granton didn't think about that. He grabbed his trousers from the floor and scrambled into them, taking longer than it usually would due to his somewhat flustered state. Not bothering with his shoes, he grabbed his shirt and wand and started towards the door, flinging a curse behind him in the general direction of the girl who'd potentially just destroyed everything, and he ran out of the room, fighting his way into his shirt as he hit the stairs, the cold, cruel cackle of Georgina following him all the way.

Elena made her way back to the Dungeons and again ignoring everyone, made her way through the common room to her own room, slamming the door shut behind her. She wiped furiously at her cheeks, cursing herself for letting herself believe Georgina wouldn't win, she'd believed Granton wouldn't have gone anywhere near her. Really it only served to show Elena how little she knew the guy she'd fallen for, and she knew the reason this was hurting so much was because of that. She was in love with him and had stupidly allowed herself to believe that maybe this was more than sex for him to, obviously not. Obviously there were no feelings there at all, otherwise he wouldn't have gone anywhere near Georgine, he knew how much Elena and Georgie despised each other.
Running her fingers through her hair, Elena caught sight of herself in the mirror and winced. There were tears tracks on her face, blacks smudges beneaht her eyes, her hair was a disgrace and she looked nothing like the normal Elena and she decided then and there it was a good thing. Grabbing a change of clothes she headed into the adjoining bathroom on her room. Quickly she washed her face, leaving herself with no make up on and for the first time she noticed how young it made her look, how normal and of age she looked now. Stripping out of her school clothes she pulled on a pair of ripped jeans shorts and a cami top, running a brush through her hair.
There was an undeniable ache in her chest, it was taking everything in her not to cry. It made her feel weak, Georgina may gotten what she wanted, but Elena was damned if she was going to simply break down anymore than she had. Sighing softly she looked at herself in the mirror again, not bothering with the make up as she grabbed a bottle of whiskey she kept stashed beneath the sink and made her way back into her bedroom. Her steps fell short though when she looked at the person who had just entered and felt her defenses and walls fly up instantly.

Granton headed for the Slytherin common room and all he could do was hope that that was where Elena had been heading, and that he wasn't actually running in the complete opposite direction of her. Pushing past the crowds, Granton stopped at the end of the corridor where it split off into different dorms and he had to think about what he was actually doing. He couldn't just walk down there thanks to the magic in the school, so he had to detour past his room to pick up a broom first.
When he first entered Elena's room he couldn't see her, and actually stepped back out just to double check he'd got the right room, then he stepped inside again. There she was. He felt something inside him jump, and he couldn't help but notice how young and fragile she looked without any makeup on, despite her only been a year younger than him.
She stopped in her tracks when she saw him there, and he swore he could see as each one of her defenses flew up around her. Granton had no idea what to say to her. He'd messed up big time and he didn't know how to get himself out of this mess. Truth was, he liked Elena a whole lot more than he'd ever thought possible, but he really did. He couldn't believe he'd actually listened to Georgina. How stupid had he been?
Now though, he hardly even recognized himself for the way he was acting. He wasn't usually the sort who would act like this, running after a girl and then just standing here, so completely lost for words while emotions ruled him.
"Elena..." How did he make this right? Could he make this right?

Elena looked at Granton for a moment, refusing to let him see her weak. What was he even doing here? "What do you want Granton?" she asked, looking away from him again as she crossed the room to her bed, placing the bottle on the bedside cabinet before reaching into her drawers and pulling out a single glass. The polite thing would to be to offer him a drink but she wasn't feeling overly polite or hospitable. Sitting on the edge of her bed she poured herself a single glass before tucking the closed bottle beneath her bed. "Don't tell me you and Georgie have finished already...that sure was quick." she said, glancing back at him as she took a sip of her drink.
Shaking her head she put the glass on the bedside cabinet again, uncrossed her legs and stood turning to look at him properly, doing her best to remain impassive despite the deep setted ache deep inside her. "Look...I don't know what the hell I walked in on, honestly of all the girls in the school, you chose her...she a crazy b***h...and that's coming from me." she commented, giving him a pointed look as she indicated to herself. "You don't owe me anything Granton...you didn't have to come after me your free to sleep with whomever you want..." she said with a shrug, brushing her long blonde locks from her face, crossing her arms over her chest...
"We both agreed it was just a little fun...that's all it was ever supposed to be...now that's screwed...feelings weren't supposed to enter this...not really..." she sighed and looked away from him, biting down on her lip before she turned to look at him once more. "Look don't worry about me...you leave in a few weeks...it's all good..."

Granton said nothing as he watched her pull out a glass and fill it with the firewhiskey she'd brought out of the bathroom with her. Even just it that one action is was made quite clear that she was seriously pissed off with him.
"Don't tell me you and Georgie have finished already...that sure was quick."
Ouch. Granton winced and look away. "With a bit of luck that B*tch has concussion already." He spat, remembering just how hard he'd pushed her away, and how she'd tumbled straight over the couch. She'd still laughed and mocked him as he'd left, but he could also hope that she'd been hurt, just a little at least. "Look, Elena-"
"Look...I don't know what the hell I walked in on, honestly of all the girls in the school, you chose her...she a crazy b***h...and that's coming from me. You don't owe me anything Granton...you didn't have to come after me your free to sleep with whomever you want..."
Elena took a defensive gesture, guarded against him. "It was a fucking stupid move, I know... How come it's so easy to believe her bullshit?" How the heck had be believed it? How had he let insecurity slip though and allow himself to honestly believe that anything she said could've been true.
"We both agreed it was just a little fun...that's all it was ever supposed to be...now that's screwed...feelings weren't supposed to enter this...not really...Look don't worry about me...you leave in a few weeks...it's all good..."
Granton sighed, and despite knowing he should probably keep his distance and give her some space, he sat on her bed and scooted over closer to her. "This hasn't just been a bit of fun for a long time." He looked away as he said it, staring at a spot on the far wall to avoid looking at her. The whole subject had grown to fell quite taboo, and he wasn't really good at expressing his feelings anyway. Generally, he didn't like she show feelings at all, unless they were ones that made people realize his authority, or realize that they were in deep Sh*t with him. However, right here, right now, he didn't care about what he looked like or whether he was showing some sort of vulnerable side, all he cared about was letting Elena know the truth - that it had never just been fun and games for him for a long time.
"I wont leave this school with you hating me because of that B*tch... I wont. You mean too much to me. We've been through too much to just throw it away over something as worthless as a few words from Georgina."

"With a bit of luck that B*tch has concussion already."
Elena could hear the venom in his voice when he spoke of Georgina and any other time she'd join in, in fact any other time she'd find it highly amusing. Not right now though, no, right now she was hurting and she hated that, she hated that Georgina had won and she hated herself for letting these feelings get as screwed up as they were. "She's a manipulative b***h that's why. She's had this planned for months, just another way to screw with me and get one over before she leaves." Elena growled, and Georgina had known exactly what way to hurt the blonde. She'd known even before Elena had known apparently which was disturbing. "Georgina's always had a knack for getting what she wants, plays on insecurities." she said sighing softly.
When Granton came and sat beside her she frowned, though somehow resisted the urge to move back when he scooted all that much more closer to her. Not looking at him she instead focused on her drink, but listened. Closing her eyes she shook her head not wanting to believe what he was saying, somehow it felt strange, talking like this. Usually they were direct, straight to the point they enjoyed each other and their relationship was easy, now feelings were in it, Elena felt confused, scared even. When he paused she looked up waiting for him to continue and only now realizing he was instead looking at a spot on the wall, she could tell without him saying, he was finding this as hard as she was. Neither liked liked expressing the more emotional, vulnerable side of themselves, especially with each other, but here they were now.
"I wont leave this school with you hating me because of that B*tch... I wont. You mean too much to me. We've been through too much to just throw it away over something as worthless as a few words from Georgina."
Elena sighed and shook her head, closing her eyes briefly before she looked at him. "Believe it or not after what I've just seen, I don't hate you...I hate her...because for months she's waited, waited to do this. To screw this...us up just because she has some stupid vendetta against me. I don't hate you...that'd be impossible." she said softly, pushing her glass onto the bedside cabinet. "We've been friends for a long time, really good friends for just as long...I don't want to lose you either but...your right, this is more than a game, it's more than incredible sex... she smiled a little as she said that, their times together had been amazing. Risky, dangerous and hot, but amazing. "...I have feelings for you, feelings that go beyond friendship, lust, sex...and I don't know if I can do this anymore without you knowing that." she said, turning her focus to a spt over his shoulder.

Granton looked at her then and frowned. "What do you mean? Why didn't you say something to me?" But even as he said it he knew the answer. She shouldn't have needed to... He never should have trusted a damn thing that Georgie said, and he knew that now.
"We've been friends for a long time, really good friends for just as long...I don't want to lose you either but...your right, this is more than a game, it's more than incredible sex...I have feelings for you, feelings that go beyond friendship, lust, sex...and I don't know if I can do this anymore without you knowing that."
Granton hadn't expected to hear those words from her. Ever, really. They'd both spent so long pretending like there was nothing more there that it had been impossible to see past. Rather than saying anything, Granton cupped her chin and leaned quickly in to press his lips against hers. He didn't know how to say what he felt most of the time, but he hoped he might be able to show her instead.
