HISTORY:
She had always wanted a baby sister, to share her dolls with, to play dress-up with, and to blame someone. When she was 6, she actually expressed this wish to her parents, begging them to give her a baby sister, much to their amusement. Unfortunately, Zara never got a sister, or even knew if her parents were planning to have another child, because at the tender age 7, she lost her mother to a horrible car accident. That was probably the end of Zara’s sheltered life, as all of her flawless dreams and picture perfect life came to an end. Her father was distraught at the death of his only love, and Zara lost one of the most important figures in her life.
Since then, her father had tried his best to make up for the lack of presence of her mother, spending all waking moment with Zara when he’s not at work. However, being an Auror wasn’t that easy. As the years flew by, the attacks in the Wizarding community increased, and her father’s work hours increased. Zara began to spend more time on her own, which did not bode well, because she began to yearn for more friends, for more company. As a result, she easily made friends. The problem was, she was said to be a little too easy.
When she finally got the letter from Hogwarts, she had promptly jumped up and down the living room and screamed in excitement till her voice turned hoarse. She was excited at the prospect that finally, she was going to have a lot of people around her. She didn’t need to be alone. As she finally boarded the train, she thought she’d miss her father, and she did. But the prospect of meeting new friends had excited her too much.
And for the past five years, she had indeed made new, good friends. Some had taken advantage of her friendship (they had also faced her wrath, eventually), and some were so close to her, Zara couldn’t imagine her life without her friends. She did fairly alright in her studies, though never really made it to the top, like she wanted. She always did badly for her Transfiguration, and she could be blamed for not putting in enough effort.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:(from another site) Zaara could feel Fred trying to go after Ginny even as she pulled him towards the shed, and she knew he must be feeling incredibly worried about his sister, but she wasn't going to let him go. Not when she knows how ruthless Bellatrix can be. They finally reached the shed, and Zaara let a small sigh of relief. Not everyone was safe, but hey, most of them were. Besides, her primary concern had been Fred. A little selfish of her, yes, but who could blame her?
And then she saw Molly Weasley shush George (she had always wondered how that woman managed her life with kids like the twins, but Merlin, she knows how to shut them up. Zaara had to admire her for that), and Zaara felt a small shiver go down her spine. The worry and determination on her face reminded her so much of her own mother, that, for a moment, Zaara almost thought of reaching out and hugging the poor woman. She shook the thought out of her head immediately. The Weasleys and Granger would probably thing that she just slipped some deadly weapon in Molly's dress pocket or something. Besides, Zaara didn't have the habit of hugging anyone except her mother and Fred. She felt Fred pulling her close and placing a light kiss on her temple, and smiled at him a little, her hand entwining with him. “They'll be fine....Bellatrix has poor eyesight in the dark sometimes, she probably wouldn't be able to see them,” she told him, trying to make him feel better with just a little humour (even though what she said was true. The lights at the Manor were lit brightly all the time at night, just for her). He tends to do that all the time.
It was quiet for some time as she heard the crashes that meant that the Burrow was slowly disintegrating, before she heard Hermione speak, followed by Ron. Zaara didn't know whether to smirk or come up with a witty retort, so she settled for raising an eyebrow and shrugging instead. Though her had taken the risk to come here just to make sure Fred was safe, she partly wanted to make sure the Weasleys didn't get hurt too. She had sat with Fred, listening to him talk about his family for hours, back at Hogwarts. She knew that if anything happened to anyone in his family, he'd....Zaara couldn't even begin to imagine what he'd do. She'd rather have a happy Fred beside her than one who was all depressed and in agony. Not when she could prevent anything horrible from happening.
The silence continued, and occasionally, she could hear the crash of their house. At a particularly loud crash, she winced a little. Were the Death Eaters still going at it? Merlin. “I'm so sorry. There was no way I could stop these wimps from attacking your house,” she whispered to Fred. If someone were to destroy her home, she'd never forgive them. She could only imagine what Fred was feeling.
And then all of a sudden, a deafening crash, almost like an explosion, and silence. She could still hear the fire clawing its way through the house in the distance, but she could no longer hear the menacing cackles of Bellatrix or the sound of duelling. The door suddenly opened, startling her a little, before Arthur Weasley appeared. “They're gone. Come on, it's safe to be out now,” he told them, and Zaara could almost hear the fatigue and melancholy in his voice. It surprised her, how horrible and guilty she was feeling. For the Weasleys, nonetheless. Firmly grasping Fred's hand, she made her way out of the shed.
The sight that met her left her breathless. Was this the Burrow that she had just been in a few minutes ago. She audibly gasped and visibly shrunk away from the burning house, closer to Fred. “What the...” was all she could mutter. She forced her eyes away from the fire (it wasn't that hard), and looked around. Potter and the Weasley girl were there, they too staring at the house in horror. Everyone seemed to be safe. Good.
Her attention turned back to Fred, as she placed her hand on his arm in a comforting manner. True, there hadn't been any lives lost, but to actually see your home ablaze like this...it would rattle anyone.
