A Word (Snape)

Ferret stood, leaning against the wall of the dungeons. She felt sick being down here. It was the smell more than anything else. Damp and muck and everything else.

She shook her head. She couldn't help it. She needed to talk to the slimy git. For several reasons. For Lily, for herself, for Remus. She sighed and waited for him to come out of the class room. Potions was one of the hardest classes for her, but she was passing easy.

Leaning more, she watched the ceiling. As the door opened she looked up, hoping it was Severus and not another student.

It was early evening and Potions was almost done. They were doing some new potion that day causing the class to last longer then it should have.

Sev had made the potion perfectly causing him to have to wait for the class to end before capping a small vial of it and running towards the door. He was the first one to exit the classroom and upon exiting he noticed Ferret right off the bat.

"Hi there Ferret...waiting for someone?"He asked as he smiled. He knew the girl was dating Remus,knew she used to be an out Lesbian. He knew things about her that she didn't even know he knew. If insults started flying he would use them against her.

Ferret looked up at the door, seeing the guy she needed to talk to.

"For you actually," the girl told him. "You and I need to talk, now." Before he could argue, she grabbed his wand hand, mostly to make sure he didn't draw his wand. She pulled him around the corner, to make sure she didn't embarrass him. She didn't like the guy, but he didn't deserve to be embarrassed unless he really deserved it.

Once they were well out of sight and hear shot, she let go of his arm. She leaned against the opposite wall.

"You and I need to discuss things," she said firmly. "Mainly, Lily."

Before he could even ask her why they needed to talk his wand arm was grabbed and he was forcefully pulled along around a corner. They were well out of hearing and sight before she released his arm. Watching her carefully he let out a sigh. What was it lately that people wanted to talk about Lily to him? It was almost like a thing that was going on at the moment.

Rubbing his arm he leaned himself on a different wall."Alright let's discuss Lils then but make it quick as I have to go get ready to meet up with her"He said as he continued to watch her every move. He wasn't stupid. He knew if he made a wrong move she would hex him straight away without warning.

After all she may tolerate him but she was still wary of him that one he knew for sure. Didn't Lily's friends realize that he was a great guy who would never hurt Lily? That he has been Lily's best friend for years now even before they started at hogwarts? He knew that they were only wary of him because he was a slytherin but unlike most slytherins he wasn't the cold hearted type who thinks purebloods are better then others.

The girl raised an eyebrow. Lily was meeting him? This was news. Then again, Lily barely spoke to her these days.

"No offence, but I am going to take all the time I need," Ferret said firmly. She took a long breath.

"I just want you...to be careful," she said slowly. "You and I are not friends, this we both know, but you do not deserve to be hurt." She looked at him firmly. "Lily only likes you as a friend. And that is not something that is going to change."

She sighed. "Trying to make it more could hurt, not only you, but her. And hurting Lily, is unforgivable."
