I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU LIKE I'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE, WHEN THE RAIN STARTS TO FALL A bit of parchment clenched in ont hand Amycus banged on the door to the Slytherin girls dorm with his other. "Lecto!" he yelled, pressing his hand up against the doorframe. "Are you in there?"
He sighed loudly, clenching both of his fists tighter. He'd already tried the common room, and if she wasn't in her dorm - or, in class - Amycus had no idea where she would be.
The parchment in his hand was a letter from his father, detailing instructions for Amycus to talk to Alecto about the 'problem she was having'. What problem? Amycus had no idea. Well, at least it was good to know that he was now in the loop of things.
"There's a letter from Father," he called out, waiting for her to open the door. "He seems pretty frustrated."
All he could do was wait until she opened the door. If he went in, the room would no doubt throw him out again, resulting in a rather nasty bruise on his backside.

A curse resounded through the dungeons. Somewhere in the girls' dormitory a young Slytherin was winding herself up over her roommates yet again. You see, Alecto Carrow wasn't the most easy person to get along with. She was clever, funny but if you got on her wrong side, you could be in excruciating pain. Certainly if she had overslept. If there was one thing Alecto hated, it was oversleeping. Each single morning, she would go out the the Lake to have her morning run. To her, it felt that if she didn't have a proper run, the whole day was in ruins. But of course, on those days when she did have a lie in, she couldn't run the entire lap she was hoping for. Today was such a day, and already her day was going downhill.
She'd just gotten out of the shower, her hair dripping wet and a towel around her body, when she'd stepped into some sharp object her roommate had left on the floor. A second thing she hated was messy roommates. Alecto wanted to kick the bloody wand aside, but in the process her foot missed and hit her own trunk instead. That's when the curse had resounded through the dungeons, only seconds before she heard knock on the door. "What now!?", she almost yelled at the person on the other side. She was seething with anger, mostly at herself. But well, knowing girls, and knowing 'Lecto she was terrific at pointing that anger towards others. It was only when she heard the voice of her brother that she relaxed somewhat. He was the only one she really cared about. She was okay with her mother, didn't like her father all that much, and yes, she had some good friends; but Amycus Carrow was the only one who got through to her when she was going overboard. 'Lecto limped to the door, glad to hear his voice, not so glad about the news. The curse had struck thrice already and she had only been up for an hour. "What does he want now?", she groaned as she made way for him to come inside, limping back to her bed and sitting down on it.
Once, Alecto and her father had been thick as thieves, but for the last year he had shunned his daughter away completely. Truth is, she couldn't blame him for that. She'd been his little girl. So when he as good as caught her sleeping with some boy she really, really liked, he shoved her away. It had been heartbreaking for her, both because the guy she loved didn't really love her back - he had just used her for some stupid bet about a full box of firewhiskey with his mates- and because her father pushed her away as far as he could, not listening to anything she had to say on the matter... And now, there was his letter.

I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU LIKE I'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE, WHEN THE RAIN STARTS TO FALL The door opened and Alecto answered, dressed in nothing but a towel. She must have just gotten out of the shower or something. Well, her hair was wet - Amycus observed. Trying to piece together what was happening, Amycus stared after his sister as she made way for him to come inside.
Right, he thought to himself as he stepped inside and shut the door swiftly behind him, taking care not to get the letter caught in the door. She didn't seem too upset that their Father was asking after her, but then again this was the first news that Amycus had heard in a while.
"Well," he said, plonking down on the side of Alecto's bed, clutching the letter in his stubby, sweaty hands. "Father asked for me to talk to you and ask you if you've 'rethought your actions', and if I could 'write him back straight away'." He picked up the letter, searching for the written words, his eyes jumping from paragraph to paragraph.
"Lec," Amycus asked, looking over at his sister, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion, "What's going on?"
Needless to say, Amycus knew nothing about what had happened between Alecto and her great love. Amycus barely even knew that it was Tuesday morning, or that the weather outside was starting to clear up. Why on earth their father was writing letters, asking for Amycus to 'keep an eye on his sister' was absolutely beyond him. If anything, Alecto was the one that had taken care of Amycus after all these years. He was hopeless; he could barely organise himself when it came to schoolwork, or fight for himself. He was Alecto's wingman and he was bloody grateful for it.
