Ash usually spent about as much time with other people as he did on his own, and that didn't phase him in the slightest. He actually liked spending time alone in which to reflect and juts think, and generally feel a little philosophical - not that he'd had any great revelations or anything though.
If there was one thing people needed to know about Ash, it was that he didn't usually like to do things the normal way, or be considered doing, in any way, anything normal and mainstream. He liked to branch out from the crowd and do what he wanted, and go where he wanted too. If most people wanted to be alone they'd go outside, or go to the library of something like that - maybe even the roof tops. Ash? He liked to be a little different - at least there was less chance of bumping into anyone.
His old favorite hide away had simply been to sit on an upturned bucket in the broom cupboard, but after one of the new 'dream team' couples had come into the picture, he'd decided he really needed to find somewhere else unless he wanted to be trampled on by overly hormonal seventh years...
That had led him to hear. The Astronomy Classroom. ...He didn't even know why astronomy had it's own class room considering the majority of lessons were spent on the roof anyway. All in all he could only remember having maybe... half a dozen lessons in this room? So more often than not, it was quiet, and that was just how he liked it. He'd yet to be walked in on while in there.
Today, Ash sat perched on the narrow window ledge, just staring out at the view. Not that there really was a view seeing as there was a raging blizzard howling outside the castle walls, but... that didn't really matter. Any kind of deep thinking usually involved either staring at nothing, or staring out of windows. So, waala! Here he was doing both at once.
He must have been sitting there for at least an hour and he could see the cold tingles of pins and needles spreading down from his butt to his toes, but he still didn't move, not quite willing to leave the view behind just yet.
The pins and needles grew worse and Ash rubbed at one thigh with his hand, not expecting it to do any good but doing it all the same.
The classroom door opened behind him and Ash looked around shocked. Well, there really was a first for everything after all. It only took a few seconds for Ash to realize just who it was coming into the room and he grinned. "Hey. What brings you up here?"
