Ferret groaned as her vision slowly came back into focus. Her leg was in great pain and she could feel the glass stuck in her arm. She had a piece in her right side too but it wasn't deep. She was littered with cuts both deep and shallow. One bad one was across her forehead went into her hairline. Blood dribbling down her face just missed her eye as she blinked to try to see clearly again.
Her hair shifted from brown to being streaked with grey. Her eyes shifted colors slowly. She felt someone touch her cheek and made to move away to hear a familiar voice.
"R-Remus?" she muttered, looking towards him. She was double visioned but it was him. She crawled over to him, lifting her arms slowly to wrap them around him.
"Remus...I learned something today," she muttered, her voice soft and trying to hold a hint of humor. "Falling hurts..."
She held onto him for a bit, no wanting to let go. From the school, adults ran onto the ground and towards them. The professors grabbed Remus while men and women in white grabbed Ferret, pulling them apart.
"No!" Ferret tried to stuggle with little success. The healers, for the St. Mongo's emblem was sewn on their uniforms, successfully pulled her away from Remus. She shouted and yelled for him, trying her best to struggle. Tears ran down her cheeks. She yelled for Remus, begging him to tell them she wasn't crazy. She yelled that she didn't want to leaved, begged the young werewolf not to let them take her. But the healers made it to the edge of the grounds and disapparated.

Post by Abigail 'Tay' Frazier on Jun 6, 2012 18:41:45 GMT
Tay's fingers were interlocked tightly with Lachie's as they wandered down the corridor. They were going to head to the kitchens for a late lunch when something happened just in front of them in the corridor.
Although she didn't know the girls name, she knew she was a Gryffindor and in the same year as Lachie, and it was clear to Tay that something was obviously wrong with her. Her face flashed and morphed between people and Tay was pretty sure that for a moment, the face looked just like Lachie's. Someone shouted for someone to get Madam Pomfrey and Tay looked to Lachie, tugging on his hand. "No one else is."
Every one was too busy staring to move and go get help, but Tay knew that this girl was going to need it. Tugging Lachie with her, she quickened a pace to a fast walked as hurried in the direction of the hospital wing. The last thing she needed was for her to trip while trying to run or something. She had more chance of getting there quickly if she just walked fast.

James didn't know if his spell to help her had worked or not and worry coursed through him when he saw her on the ground. He spun around, not sure who he was looking for but hoping to see a professor somewhere.
Instead, he saw a blur hurtle his was and he responded automatically be stepping out of the way. The shape hurled itself out of the window after Ferret and it was only when the were already out and soaring down toward the ground that James realized who it was. "Remus!" He yelled after him. His friend hit the ground on his feet and went immediately to Ferret.
Looking behind him, James spotted a broom on the ground but he didn't know whose it was. Some one had dropped it there and it was probably someone on the Gryffindor team coming up from practice.
"Accio broom." This was no long just his house mate that was hurt, but his best friend was involved too. James caught the broom easily and hopped onto it, zooming out of the window and towards the ground. From the minute he'd cast that spell as Ferret jumped he'd immediately felt like he was a part of this whole thing, and he now felt like he was partly responsible for whatever state she was in.
Landing, James could see that she was conscious as she held Remus in a death grip. Her leg was twisted at an awkward angle and there was blood flowing from places where the glass had clearly managed to scrape through her skin.
People were running towards them. Someone must have gone for help after all. The people, whoever they were, tried to tear Remus and Ferret apart but it was obvious neither of them were going to let the other go willingly. But these people were from Mungo's and they needed to get Ferret some help. That was what they were there for... though James didn't realize thing were so bad they required Mungo's help...
He reached for Remus's shoulders and tried to tug his friend back, knowing that he was no match for werewolf strength. "Come on, Moony. Let them do their job. You know she needs their help." The words were spoken softly, but with enough force to try and drill them into his head a bit and make him see reason. He didn't know if it would work though. Ferret still screamed and shouted after Remus as she was slowly dragged away.

Bob Turnbull: Bob stood among the crowd watching the events that were taking place. He found the whole thing with the face changing weird, but kinda cool too. It was entertaining, especially listening to people shouting and making comments and stuff, and watching the looks on the faces of people who were obviously friends.
The girl launched herself out of the window and Bob laughed. He was a Slytherin, and anything to do with non-Slytherins getting hurt was just entertainment to him. Someone yelled angrily at him and shoved him, and he quickly shoved them back.
"Asshole!" Someone behind him yelled and he spun angrily. "What did you just call me?" Someone was going to get hurt here, and he wasn't talking about the stupid bint who'd just thrown herself out of a window. Typical no brained Gryffindor.

Jessica Queller: Jess watched with terror as a girl threw herself out of the window. Glass shattered and people started screaming and shouting, and some people were running to the windows to look out. Jess herself had been stood near a window and was one of the ones who looked out straight away.
She saw the girl hit the ground and watched as the leg bent at a strange angle on impact. Being squeamish, the sight was enough to make her feel physically sick. Jessica screamed loudly and started flapping her arms about. The sound, she knew, was echoing though the stone walls but she couldn't stop herself.
The image replayed in her mind and her stomach rolled uneasily. Stepping back a little, she gagged, then her lunch came back up for a visit. With the combination of what she'd seen and throwing up, darkness swept in and Jessie felt her world go black, and she fell to the floor. No one caught her.

Henrietta Marks: Henrietta had a very short temper at the best of times, but when someone was hurt and someone else started laughing, then her anger was something that you really didn't want to be on the receiving end of. It was the Slytherin's mostly. The laughed at snickered as that poor girl threw herself out of the window. Henri had found it horrifying to watch her fall, but her attention was quickly draw to a Slytherin in the crowd near her who made a snide remark.
"How dare you say something like that! She could be hurt out there! Heck! She could be dead!" She was practically screeching the words and her face lit up in a violent shade of scarlet, her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
Again, the Slyterin girl in her year made a comment and that was it. Henri snapped and launched herself at the girl, grabbing at her hair and pulling hard and the other girls fingers wrapped into her hair in return. "How dare you say that!? How dare you! How dare you!" She kept shrieking even as the two of them tumbled to the floor with a clatter. All around her, hell broke loose.

Jack Harrogate: He didn't usually get into fights, but when someone was in trouble, Jack wasted no time in diving into the mix to help them. All around him people were starting to yell and shout, not for the girl who jumped out of the window- that seemed almost forgotten. What they were shouting for was the comments that some people were making, and tempers were beginning to get out of hand.
Next to him, a guy in Slytherin threw a punch towards one of his dorm mated and Jack just flipped. He pounced on the guy with a loud yell and pounded his fist into the unsuspecting guys face. Once, twice, a third time...
Hands grabbed him and pulled him off and a fist connected with his cheek. Stars burst out in his eyes and he swung around unsteadily aiming towards whoever had just hit him.
The students were moving in a swarm, everyone fighting with everyone else, pushing shoving, slapping, punching, biting, pulling... you name it, it was happening. It was a full out brawl. Not a single person in sight had their wands out. This wasn't a duel, it was a fist fight. And it was huge.

Rhoganol Montague Rhogan was basically Mungo's hired help. He couldn't get very far up the career ladder because of his skin color, and the fact that he wasn't British. It wasn't fair, but it was life.
They'd got the message about some kid at Hogwarts needing help and he'd been listed to help out. Within minutes they were at the school and running across the grounds.
Rhogan saw someone fall through the window and within a few seconds someone had jumped after her. "Holy shh..."
The whole team ran in that direction and there wasn't a doubt in anyone's minds that this was what they'd been called her about. Rhogan listened to his instruction the moved forward with the rest of the team. They'd been told to get the boy away then her get the girl off the grounds quickly so they could get her to the hospital.
The state she was in, they knew they wouldn't be able to just but her on a stretcher and walk her out. She might look almost calm now, but it wouldn't last. The message they'd got said something about mental instability from what he'd heard.
The second that hands touched her the girl started to scream and shout, struggling wildly. The boy with her wouldn't be budged either and, rather than help the healers already struggling with the girl, Rhogan moved towards the boy who needed held back.
A dark haired boy was trying to talk some sense into him but he was no match for the kid who was obviously stronger than he looked. But that's what Rhoganol was for. He was like the hired help - the muscle. He grabbed at the boy to hold him back and let the others deal with the girl, waiting till their voices quietened down before he stopped struggling with the boy who was, admittedly, much stronger than he looked.

Connie Landon: Connie had worked in St. Mungo's for more years that she could possibly remember, and each year it grew more and more tiresome as she gained more and more responsibility.
Today, they'd been called out to Hogwarts to deal with a fifteen year old metamorphmagus who, basically, was reportedly having a mental breakdown in the middle of a hall full of students.
And of all the people to be put in charge of a case like this, it had to be her, didn't it?
They reached the school just in time to see someone jump from a window and hit the ground below. There was a lot of screaming and shouting from the place it had happened. That just went to show exactly how many people had been witness to this, which wasn't good for the girl in question.
Connie gave her orders and then moved forward to help her team as they tried to pick up the girl. There wasn't an easy way to do this. The more she struggled, the more harm she'd cause herself physically, and it seemed that she already had enough injuries as it was, but if they tried to stun her then it would only make her more mentally unstable. Actually, there was a coma risk, or the risk of large amounts of memory loss, which meant it was too risky. There wasn't a lot they could do but just move quickly to get her off the grounds and back to Mungo's.
It was just grabbing the screaming teenager that was the hard part. She kept screaming for some boy and insisting that she wasn't crazy. This was too much hard work... Connie was really considering picking a new career path right now. This was all getting too straining for her to deal with on a daily basis.

Josh Sampson: There she was! "Damn it Jen will you just-oh..." Color flushed his cheeks. This wasn't who he was looking for. He didn't know this girl who's arm he currently had a grip on. It was just her hair... It made him think it was... "Sorry, I thought you were someone else."
Josh jumped back with a yelp when the girl began shouting. "I didn't mean to..." He trailed off as she clearly wasn't listening. What the hell was going on? Had he done this? Was this his fault? All he'd done was mistake her for his friend!
The girl crumpled onto the ground and started screaming her name, clawing at her face and hair while people tried to help her and her own face and body morphed into different people. Josh felt sick. Was this some form of twisted magic? Had he done some that made this happen? Was it his fault?
Some girl with dark hair ran up to her and bundled her in a hug that clearly wasn't appreciated. The girl on the floor freaked out and pushed to her feet and looked around the crowd with wide, scared eyes, before she sighted a window and ran.
Glass shattered and within seconds she was gone from sight.
Josh felt his knees buckle under him and he clutched at his chest. "Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Oh, my god." This was his fault! He'd done this. The girl had just jumped from a window. There was screaming... was she dead? Had he killed her?
Josh struggled to catch his breath and he didn't feel like he could take in a proper gulp of air, it was like something was stopping him from inhaling and one hand moved from his chest to his throat and he began to wheeze, panic taking over him. He couldn't breathe! He'd made that girl die and now he was going to die too!
Hands landed on his arm and someone was saying his name but the words were fuzzy. All he could think about was what he'd done to that girl, and the fact that he was beginning to go numb. Why couldn't he breathe?

James had slowed down Ferret's fall, and Emily felt herself breathing a little easier, horror still etched deep into her features as she stared down out the windown at the girl laying broken on the floor. Tears streaming down over her cheeks, as her heart thundered wildly against her chest, confused not even beginning to cover what she was feeling. What had happened....she knew Alice had been struggling as of late, it had been obvious to anyone who'd taken the time to look close enough at the girl but she hadn't imagined it'd come to something like this.
Below she could see obvious St Mungo's personnel and could only watch as they began to gather Alice up. Though as they were doing that she heard something behind her and turning Emily was shocked and a little disgusted to see fights breaking out and people generally acting strangely. What the hell was wrong with them, a girl had nearly just killed herself and they were all too busy fighting each other to even show the smallest amount of respect!
There were people on the floor, girls screaming their arms waving around. Guys fighting and now you looked closer you could see there were in fact girls fighting as well. "What the hell is wrong with you people?" she shouted, threading her finger through her hair. Where in the world where the Professors. As she looked back over her shoulder to where Alice lay, she felt her heart breaking for the girl all over again as she carried away kicking and screaming, looking so broken.
Emily stumbled, catching herself on the window frame as she glanced around, glaring at the fighting boys that had nearly sent her out there after Alice. Pulling out her wand she aimed it directly at them "Stupefly" she yelled, watching as they not only froze in place but fell back, away from her and each other. Still holding her wand tightly in her hand she turned her head, "Everyone just stop!" she yelled, dropping to the floor as something flew her way almost hitting her in the head. Looking up, she caught sight of Josh hyperventilating on the floor and frowned, tried calling his name but someone else reached him so she refocused on the brawl, in shock this was actually happening.
SIRIUS BLACK
Sirius hadn't moved from his spot, staring in shock at the now broken window through which Ferret had jumped. His mind screamed at him to move, to go see if she was okay, if the spell James had used had worked but he couldn't move, it was as though he was literally frozen to his place with no means of moving. Already he could hear the cries of horror around them but right now paid them no attention, still struggling to process what had just happened, or the horrid nauseous feeling now growing in the pit of his stomach.
When another body knocked into his however he immediately jumped from being shocked to livid. His fists curled up tightly, his knuckles going red as he slowly turned. What the hell was wrong with these people. Ferret had just jumped from a window and now they were fighting, picking fights for the sake of it, laughing in this Slytherin's case, the unlucky sod who had knocked into him, was now in Sirius's sights and without giving Bob Turnball a chance to righten himself from the stumble he'd taken after someone else had hit him. Sirius placed a hand on the larger boys shoulder, turned him around and through his fist into his face as hard as he could, throwing all his body weight behind the hit, feeling a sick sense of satisfaction when the punch was followed by a large crack and the rushing of blood from the boys nose...

Ash fought to keep her hands from clawing at her face and hair but it wasn't doing much good. Vaguely, he was aware of someone beside him telling Ferret to listen to what he was saying but he didn't take the time to look at who it was. His only concern was for his friend who was screaming and shouting and in clear distress.
Some one directly behind him made a snide remark about muck and entertainment and Ash spun with an look so angry that if look could kill the Slytherin would be dead by now. "F*ck you!" He all but screamed at her. He didn't have time for this. Heck! Any other day he'd have made a snarky come back but not now.
Ash turned back around in time to see someone dash in and reach her arms out around Ferret. "No-"
Too late. The girl wrapped Ferret in her arms and his flashy-haired friend, for lack of a better term, freaked out big style. Ferret fought against the person who held her before pushing upright and looking around. Ash saw her look at him, but she wasn't looking at him so to speak. She saw straight through him looking only for an exit.
Without warning, Ferret turned and threw herself at the window. Ash had been mid way to standing up as she did it and he lurched forward, landing hard on the ground, a scream tearing his throat to shreds as he watched helplessly as glass shattered. "Nooooo!" His throat burned and his voice broke. What the f*ck! What the f*ck!
Without thinking he lunged out and grabbed at the girl beside him - the one who had hugged Ferret. His hands grabbed handfuls of her shirt and he shook her, not registering who it was or what he was doing, fueled only by fear and anger and pain. "What the f*ck were you thinking!?"
His voice broke and he shoved roughly, sending the girl flying. Ash collapsed sobbing, his head unable to keep up with everything that was going on as people screamed and shouted and moved around him. He threaded his fingers into his hair and gripped tightly, pulling hard as he let out another scream. His mind was spinning he was just so confused...

Post by dorcas on Jun 15, 2012 14:32:14 GMT
Chaos ensnared the whole hall, a once still corridor became a place of violence, people hitting one another for no cause at all and all though Dorcas was one for a good fight, this was utterly ridiculous. She had no clue what had happened, to her there was no logical reasoning for all this fighting and screaming and it seemed that there were no teachers around, only a smashed window and a few students staring out of it, looking towards the ground. Sadly Dorcas suspected that someone had fallen out of the window, be it by someone else's own hands or by an accident she couldn't know yet, but there were a couple of things she could do and that was possibly help to break up the fighting, she didn't think of the consequences of potentially getting into a fight herself.
Taking out her wand and holding it close to her side as she quickly took in everything that was happening she rushed forwards. Around the edges were people just standing, looking and laughing at what was going on, jeering and cheering of all sorts but Dorcas just pushed through them and pushed them back a little, what kind of people just stood by while this sort of thing was happening? Dorcas took the time to look at their faces and their robes, what else had she expected? They were mostly Slytherins.
Dorcas saw a couple of boys fighting, or more so one boy was beating the living daylights out of another. Raising her wand she pointed it at the boy hitting the other in the face. "Protego." a barrier came up and blocked the two boys, throwing the bully back a little and the victim fell to the floor. "Stupefy." Dorcas looked up to see a girl nearly knocked through the broken window and others almost leaning out of it. That was too dangerous for Dorcas' liking and so she headed over towards it, getting knocked from side to side as fights continued.
The girl at the window turned around and Dorcas noticed it was Emily. She did a spell, yelled and then something went flying at her head, so not the sort of thing that should be happening in a school. Dorcas made it to the window and pointed her wand up at it. "Repearo." The window started to reform, shards of glass within the vicinity starting to put themselves back into place. There were a few parts missing here and there and as Dorcas looked out of the window down to the grounds she could see movement and suspected that the missing glass might still be in the person to have fallen through. They'd be back in time, as for now Dorcas wanted to sort out this mess but it wasn't as if a lone fifth year could do it, what was really needed were teachers or even a few good Auror's for some of those nasty Slytherin's that were fighting dirty.
