It wasn't very often that lessons were cancelled, but when they were, there wasn't always time to tell everybody before the lesson was due to start. This time seemed to be one of those times.
Leander turned up at Care of Magical Creatures just to find the place empty, and the Professor nowhere in sight. Settling down on the grass, she convinced herself that Professor Kettleburn was merely late, and she'd been there soon. It seemed to be ages before other students started to show up, and there were only a few appearing in dribs and drabs. So...what was going on?
Had the lesson been cancelled and she'd just not heard about it? Well... it'd probably be best to wait a while and see who showed up, and whether Professor Kettleburn was still going to turn up. If not then... then maybe she'd still send work... or maybe someone else would come and cover...
She'd just have to wait and see.

As usual, Tay got distracted on the stairs. If it wasn't for that window she'd be fine but… it was just so… so right. She couldn't help but stop and stare out for a while, and the clouds this morning had been creating the most fantastic and wonderful shapes. Tay couldn't help but stop and stare.
Did it make her feel childish - getting lost in the clouds in the way she did? Sometimes. Especially when it made her miss breakfast and made her late for her first lesson. Even as she tried to walk as quickly as possible down and outside, she could hear her stomach tumbling and protesting at the lack of food and coffee she was providing it. Coffee… Oh god she wanted a coffee right now…
No. Lesson time. She was already late. Tay hurried as quickly as she could across the grounds to the classroom. There weren't many people there. In fact, there was only really Leander. The other two who'd been there were already turning around and heading back towards the castle. Tay looked to the red head. "What's going on? It's not cancelled, is it?"

Regulus really hated Sirius sometimes, but he absolutely loathed his guts every time he was forced to walk into Muggle Studies or Care of Magical Creatures. How had that git honestly gotten away with tampering with his options? And the school wouldn't let him change them either. No matter what happened Sirius still managed to make his life a living hell. Well at least Reg got to keep his core options anyway...
This was one of those times when Reg grumbled and cursed his older brother all the way from his dorm to his class and, if possible, glared at the prick across the Great Hall over breakfast. Care of Magical Creatures… It wasn't as bad as bloody Muggle Studies but it wasn't something he'd have ever chosen to take on his own.
He dragged his feet and delayed as much as possible before setting off towards the class. The Great Hall was virtually empty when he left. Reg didn't care about attendance when it came to this lesson. He always made sure to turn up a bit late and the proceed to sit at the back and just put in the minimal amount of effort. He wasn't going to all out not show up, be he wasn't about to look enthusiastic either.
Two of the girls in his class passed him as he was heading outside. "Where're you going?" He didn't usually talk to any of them but… they were in his class… which was supposed to have started now. The girls just gave him a look before turning away and continuing in the direction they'd been doing. Reg stared after them before shaking his head and continuing. Hopefully this mean the class was a no-go today, but he'd best double check. He saw a few more of his class mates hovering around and drifted towards them, close enough to over hear and for it to be obvious he was listening in, but not close enough to be expected to say anything.
