Emily was grateful to hear Chase call out his Dad, at least he wasn't just laying there he seemed just as embarrassed as her, he was just obviously better at hiding it than she was. Though knowing her boy-friend and the way his parents were reacting this wasn't the first time something like this had happened, but again that was a topic for another time, right now there were more important things she was worrying about, like her near nakedness during her first meeting with her boy-friends parents. This wasn't how things were supposed to be going, how was she going to face them.
Glancing up she could see Chase's Mother had already made up her mind about her and had to look away. Did she think Emily was simply another girl, not that she could blame her if she did, which was why she turned to Chase. He said her name softly and she all but pleaded with him silently to try and do something, she needed to get dressed but couldn't move, couldn't speak or do anything but stand there. When he asked his parents to leave she felt some slight relieve and hoped they would, though when his Mum began to argue, Emily cringed, shrinking in on herself some more as her eyes returned to the floor, all the while fighting back the tears as she pressed a hand against her lips, not daring to look anywhere again.
She heard Chase moving, saw his legs as he passed her after a few moments and only then dared to look up from the floor watching as he all but forced his parents out the bedroom, not really giving them an option as he closed the door on them, ordering them out. When the door closed with a click Emily felt herself relax but only a fraction, she still couldn't believe any of this had happened. Not exactly the way a girl looks forward to meeting her boy-friends parents...what must they think of her...if she was honest she didn't want to know. She dreaded to know actually.
Chase re-wrapped the towel around his waist and before she could even attempt to talk he did so. Saying her name and hurrying over to her to pull her into a hug, one she sunk into all too willingly considering their situation. Her arms let go of her dress and wrapped around him, not wanting to let go but Chase pulled back, lifting her head to look at him and she was embarrassed to know that those tears she'd held in had actually fallen. Leaning into Chase's touch she shook her head, "It's not your fault...what must they think of me..." she groaned realizing she was still dressed in only her underwear.
Easily slipping out of Chase's arms, she scooped up her dress which had fallen to the floor and went to retrieve her tights, still bright red, though she doubted that the new pinkness of her skin would fade anytime soon. She quickly stepped into her dress, only managing to pull the zipper up halfway, "Oh I'm so embarrassed..." she sighed, wiping her cheeks which were still slightly damp before she went to sit down on the edge of Chase's bed, taking a breath and looking at Chase. "Oh god..." she groaned again covering her face with her hands for a moment before reaching for her tights.
"There is no way I'm going to be able to face them...I'm sure your Mum dislikes me already..." she said disappointingly, leaning down to slip on her tights, shaking her head as she did so. She felt silly for crying but that's exactly how embarrassed she was. Reaching for her shoes she slipped them on and attempted to tie the laces before walking to the first mirror she saw, her eyes flickering to her boy-friends reflection as she attempted to tame her hair back to how it looked before. "Chase can you zip me up please...?" she asked, running her fingers through her hair.
Emily took another breath, attempting to calm herself. Shaking her head again she pressed her hands to her face, I've never been so embarrassed...you guys don't have any kind of time turners laying around do you?" she asked, smiling ever so slightly at her half attempt at a joke, needing something to calm herself down, "I'm not sure I can stay here...I don't want to upset your Mum anymore than we already have.."

SO I WROTE YOU A SONG hope that you sing along and it goes
MERRY CHRISTMAS - KISS MY ASS! Chase wrapped his arms around Emily and she sunk into him, letting the dress fall. It was impossible to miss just how upset she was at this whole thing and he tore at him to know that she was hurting as much as she was. He knew it couldn't be easy for her and it was impossible to miss just how embarrassed she was. He wiped the tears from her cheeks, apologizing.
He had no answer for her. He didn't know what he parents were thinking at that moment but one thing was for sure, he was going to have to talk to them sooner rather than later. He really needed to explain. His mother, no doubt, though that Emily was 'just another girl' and she couldn't be more wrong.
Emily slipped out of his grasp and reached for her dress to put back on, and the tights that were still near the tree. She sat on the bottom of his bed and wiped at her cheeks again. "Em... I'll talk to them... It'll be okay I promise." He knew those words wouldn't do much to help her feel any better. This wasn't the way that either of them had intended for her to meet his parents, and he knew it must be hard for her right now.
"There is no way I'm going to be able to face them...I'm sure your Mum dislikes me already..."
Chase sat next to her on the bed and places a hand on her lower back. "I'll explain, babe. She'll be okay when I tell her who you are." He hoped...
Heading to the mirror, Chase watched as Emily stared at her reflection and tried to fix her hair, before looking to him to ask him to zip up her dress. He stood and headed over to her, letting his fingers trail comfortingly over her skin as he reached for the zip.
Chase laughed softly and leaned in to press a kiss to her neck, arms sliding around her waist. "No time turners I'm afraid. Don't worry about her though - I'll go talk to her. The bathroom is a few doors down if you want to sort yourself out." He used one hand to turn her face towards him and kissed her softly. This really wasn't the way he'd intended for this day to turn out, and now he really needed to try and fix things.
Releasing Emily's waist, Chase grabbed his clothes from where they were around the room and quickly slid into them, forgoing the shoes that his mum had dropped just inside the door when she'd walked in.
"I'll be back soon, okay?"

Emily looked at Chase's reflection and smiled softly, knowing how hard he was trying to make her feel better warmed her greatly. His fingers gently grazed along the soft skin of her back as he zipped up her dress and she sighed softly. Leaning back into him she wrapped her arms around the ones he'd circled around her waist and found great comfort in the embrace. When he laughed softly at her joke about the time turners she found herself relaxing against him some more, though she was sure that'd fade when she left this room.
She let him turn her face towards him kissing him softly, not wanting their moment to end but knowing it would have to sooner rather than later. When Chase released his hold on her she resisted the urge to pout and instead turned around to look at him, watching him as he quick, "I'll go use the bathroom then..." she said softly, offering him a small smile when he said he was going to talk to his Mum. That she was happy to not be a part of, though knew she couldn't avoid the woman forever, no matter how much she wished she could.
Walking over to Chase she leaned up to press a kiss to his lips, her hands on his shoulders, "Let me know when it's safe to come down..." she joked, pressing a kiss to his lips again before stepping around him and heading to the door. Taking a breath she pulled it open and stepped outside, not bothering to look around, instead she headed in the direction Chase had indicated the bathroom was. Finding the right door she slipped inside, shut it and all but sunk against it, burying her face into her hands.
