It was not a secret that she couldn't see and most Slytherins liked to take advantage of that. She sometimes wished that she could be in slytherin if only for no other reason then to beat them senseless with her cane or take a crap load of points off them. This time, couple slytherins had given her something or other in her butterbeer and she had fallen asleep and she had found herself in the forest.
"Hello?" she called as she heard the owls hooting. If any of the teachers caught her, prefect or not she knew she'd be in trouble.
She tried to figure out a way back to school, which way was north, maybe she could find the owelry? "Where the fudge am I?" she kept walking forward tripping over.

BRIAR MICHAELS we know what we are, but not what we may be.
[/blockquote] For once, Briar was actually wandering around the Forbidden Forest with legitimate permission. Her potions teacher had a small extra-credit thing going on—they were low on Sagewort and were offering a free O. on a project grade if as student returned a large bushel of the rare plant to her desk by Monday. Briar had been warned by her cautious housemates not to accept the project, as all the potion extra-credit projects were near impossible, but Briar accepted despite their warnings. She liked potions and finding this seemingly ‘rare’ plant in the Forbidden forest seemed easy. How hard could it be to find one plant if she started in the early in morning?
Like IMPOSSIBLY HARD.
It was now nearly nighttime, and Briar was grudgingly heading back in what she thought was the direction of Hogwarts—empty handed. She had started right after Transfiguration at one o’clock, and it was nearly seven now. Nada. Zip. Nothing. Complete waste of time. Briar was at the point of sulking, something rather rare for the rather cheerful girl.
“Sagewort only mildly rare? Are they insane?!” Briar muttered to herself, angrily taking a sweeping kick at a thorn bush and only earning her a tangled foot for her trouble. “GAH. What’s a freaking project grade anyways, not like it matters or anythi—”
Briar froze.
She was almost certain she had heard another voice. “Lumos,” Briar whispered quietly, a bit unnerved. The girl fanned her wand out, the eerie white light illuminating the growing shadows of the night forest. She could have sworn she was the only one out here, and if this was some of Boggart getting nasty—Briar would have a few explosion spells up her sleeve to show just what she thought of it—
“Where the fudge am I?”
Briar panned the light to behind her and a little to the left. “Hello?” She queried.

When she tripped she fell on her face. "lovely" she muttered gathering up her three things (wand, cane and cards) she felt her way around making sure nothing else was in her path. She should not have been dragging her cane behind her that had been a BAD idea. "Yes...uh hi" she called to the girl.
She relaxed somewhat knowing it was not a teacher if it was she would've been in trouble, she was sure about it. As she pulled her blond hair out of her eyes she said lit her own wand. "Lumos" of course light didn't mean anything to her it was more or less to let the other person know where she was. "Don't worry...I'm not a teacher if that's what you're wondering or a Boggart, I don't think they can talk human language as of yet" she said with a small laugh. "But I do need to get back to school before I...HOLY CRAP" she yelled before she fell backwards this time.
"keep having accidents" she finished. "and then REALLY attract attention to myself" she added.

BRIAR MICHAELS we know what we are, but not what we may be.
[/blockquote] Briar cocked her head to the side and blinked rapidly as a stream of light from another person’s lumos hit her in the face. The girl brought a hand up to her face to shield her eyes, but as quick as the light had hit her—it was gone. Shaking her head (and the spots out of her eyes) Briar took a cautious step towards the ghostly illuminated figure several yards ahead.
“Yes… uh, hi—” The figure said, voice feminine enough and figure slim enough that Briar could figure out it was a girl. The girl rattled on about not needing to worry about herself being a teacher, or a boggart, and then promptly tripped backwards over a small log and needing to get back to school. Briar watched with a sort of amused expression on her face—normally it was herself who was tripping over random objects and getting lost, was this what it was like to watch yourself from the outside?
Briar moved forward, smile lighting her face. “Nox,” she said quietly, watching as the light from the tip of her wand disappeared. She laughed, moving over to the girl and extending a hand, “I get it. You need me to point you back?”

At this point she fumbled for a moment and took the girl's hand, she was right in front of her she guessed and she was right. "Thanks" she said shakily making sure she had again her wand, cane and cards. "Actually, pointing me in any direction won't do me any good...I er..." she shook her head as she sighed. It was a fact she could not hide. "I'm blind" she mumbled. "have been since before I came to Hogwarts, I was looking forward to seeing the castles and grounds but...never been able to" she left out the seer part, she hadn't even told her best friend yet. The only one she had told was Professor Sprout. As she shook her head again she smiled brightly. "How silly, my name is Roxanna, call me any shortened version of that you'd like...it's a pleasure to meet you although I wish it was more in a...er...circumstances where I was not so clumsy as anything..." she loved meeting new people blind or not blind she just hoped this girl was not in Slytherin but judging by her attitude she didn't think so. Most people did not have the difficulty she did of asking...she had learned to tell by attitude alone but that had taken two years of practice. At this point she fell again but this time it haden't been an accident. Peeves had been lurking apparently she could hear him giggling as he had thrown something. "as long as it's not another dungbomb" she yelped as the object that hit her turned out to be a bag of enchanted marbles that was as hard as a rock. "Really peeves, seriously?" she called but she was not loud enough to be heard thank the Goddess.

BRIAR MICHAELS we know what we are, but not what we may be.
[/blockquote] The girl took her hand and Briar pulled her up, blinking as the girl explained she was blind. Peering closer for a second, Briar did now just notice how the girl's eyes didn't quite meet her own. "Oh," she mused, not really surprised or put off in the least. "Well, maybe I can show you some of the cooler parts of the ground later on, and maybe describe what they look like really well?" She suggested. It was kind of sad to her to know that someone couldn't actually fully enjoy the grounds of Hogwarts--it was brilliant in itself, she remembered her first day here and how grand it had all seemed.
The girl then introduced herself as Roxannaor Roxy, Briar inferred, and Briar grinned. "I'm Briar!" She said cheerfully. "Nice to meet you too--and don't worry," she made a face, "I'm pretty clumsy too. Falling up stairs? My specialty." She paused for a moment, shaking her head and peering around the shadowed forest. Hm. "I'm like 82% sure the school is this way," Briar said eventually, brushing against Roxy in the slightest as she began to move off towards the left. "We should probably get going before the teachers start freaking out--"
There was a crashing sound, and Briar whipped around, eyes widening in the slightest as she saw Roxy crash to the ground. Something in a thin bag rolled around near her feet, and Briar whipped her head to the left--and promptly rolled her eyes. Hogwart's most annoying resident--Peeves--could be heard cackling as he soared away. "You okay?" She asked, seriously, taking a step back toward the other girl.

"Peachy" said the girl as she got up. "Yeah let's go...so, what are you doing out here?" she asked as she wondered if the girl was just a curious one or if she was in detention or, something else. She pulled her hand through her hair as she walked with the girl still using the cane but relying more or the girl to guide her back, she didn't think she'd run her astray or nothing. "I'm an accident prone but...yeah...we could explore as we go back, there isnt too much till daylight and people will think we just got up early" she said as she smiled a small smile. "plus, no one thinks i break rules anyway, I do on a fair occasion but none of the teachers think i'm capable apparently" "sorry, I talk to much" she whispered as she knew they were nearing the castle, she reached out for the great oak doors and touched them feeling around she opened it with a creak and slipped in and wondered now where she should go. She couldn't take this girl to her common room, she wasn't a Hufflepuff she had never heard her voice in the common room.
