Visitor (Remus) - Complete

Frowning at the mention of Ferret's aunt, Remus stroked Jasper comfortingly. "I'm not like your Mama's mean Ant at all." Remus chuckled and wondered how to explain Purebloods to a ferret. "Some people are magic, and they get it from their parents. They are 'Purebloods'. Other people have parents who have no magic, and they are not Purebloods. And some people like me have one parent with magic and one parent without magic. So I am a halfblood."

Remus grinned. "We only make rain when we're sad. And because your Mama and I have been apart, we've been sad."

As Jasper scrambled back onto his shoulder, Remus gave him a boost up, missing the warmth and softness of a curled up ferret already. "Does she really? You are a very lucky handsome little ferret, aren't you Jasper?"

"I'm a bit big for a big wolf to eat, even when I was a kit. But it bit me and tried to eat me." Remus held out his hand for Jasper to stand on and lowered him carefully down to his waist, lifting up his shirt to show the scar. "See?"

Clearing a space on Ferret's bed, Remus lay down, being careful to avoid jostling Jasper. Settling the little ferret into the crook of his shoulder he smiled, kissing Jasper softly on the head and nuzzling him very carefully. "Comfortable?"

The little tilted his head to the side, trying to understand the explanation. He didn't but he tried.

"Mama has been sad for a very long time," Jasper told him. "When Mama sent her gifts for Christmas, her scent was happier! And now, she is even happier with Magic Remus came!" The small ferret nuzzled the male's neck, extremely happy.

"Jasper is a lucky ferret!" He let out a soft yawn then. It was nap time, he could tell.

"If wolf comes back, I'll bit it!" Jasper exclaimed before yawning again. As Remus laid down, he curled up in the blankets. He let out a happy sound as he was given a kiss and nuzzled, nodding sleepily.

Ferret walked out of the bathroom in her shorts and tanktop. Looking at her bed and smiled and walked over.

"Looks like he likes you," she said quietly. She knelt by her bed and stroked her baby before moving to kiss Remus gently. "That makes me really happy."

Remus giggled softly as Jasper nuzzled the side of his neck. It ticked slightly, but the sentiment was appreciated regardless. "Magic Remus hopes he makes your Mama and you happy for a long time to come."

The soft yawns coming from Jasper were adorable as was the sleepy way the little ferret nodded and curled up on Remus' shoulder. Stroking him gently, Remus lay and enjoyed the softness and warmth of Ferret's still warm bed and the little furry bundle lying on him.

Surrounded by Ferret's scent once more, he felt happy and contented, smiling at her as she emerged from the bathroom looking more gorgeous than ever.

Kissing her back, Remus smiled. "I think the little guy and I came to an understanding, and he says he approves. He's such a handsome little thing." He grinned and stole another kiss. "He gets that from his Mama."

Ferret smiled and giggled, kissing her boyfriend lovingly. She was going to hate it when he left.

"Now you are being a flatterer," she whispered. She took his hand, lacing her fingers in his. "Do you want something to eat? I'm allowed to go to the tearoom if I have a healer or one of my guests with me. That way we won't have to worry about waking up Jasper." She nodded toward the ferret then kissed Remus again.

"I want to hear about how things are back at school. Its really boring here and I only just started getting some letters." She smiled and grabbed a key from the side table.

Remus smiled at Ferret. "It isn't flattery if its true." He whispered back in her ear, leaning in to nuzzle her neck softly. "I'd love to grab a bite to eat with you, so the tearoom it is. I will gladly take you on an impromptu date there." Raising her hand to his lips, Remus kissed it. "If my lady will accompany this humble knave?"

As the kiss ended, Remus looked down at where Jasper still dozed and snuggled on his shoulder. The little ferret was a warm little weight of fur against, and Remus could feel the beat of his racing little heard. Looking up at Ferret, Remus pouted and looked pleadingly at her. "But he's so warm and cute and fuzzy. Can't we take him with us? I don't want to loose my newest friend and snuggle-buddy so soon." He stroked Jasper idly.

Chuckling softly, Remus threw up his hands in surrender. "I don't think anyone knows what's going on. It seems like half the school's been in detention, and I..." Remus looked down, heart twinging slightly. "I had other things to think about, and I wasn't paying attention. I know Ash was in the midst of it - he's probably got a better idea than I do."

Ferret blushed and smiled as he whispered to her, feeling his breath on her neck. She let out a light shiver and blushed more as he took her hand and kissed it. Pinching the edge of her shorts, she went into a sort of curtsy.

"The pleasure would be mine, sir knave," she told him, smiling.

Ferret looked over as Jasper and shook her head. "If he doesn't start sleeping now, he will be sleeping all day tomorrow, better just to let him sleep. Besides," she kissed him again, "I want some alone time with you. Is that so wrong?"

Ferret frowned upon hearing that there was so much confusion. And it was her fault. Looking down at her feet in the socks the hospital provided her, she tucked some hair behind her ear, feeling ashamed.

"I really didn't mean to cause such a stir..." she muttered, ashamed.

Remus smiled and inclined his head in a mock-bow as best he could without disturbing Jasper. "Then I will happily take you to the tearoom, my dearest Ferret."

Remus' pout deepened. "I'd be careful and make sure he stayed asleep?" But he gave in, sighing slightly as he gently lifted Jasper off his shoulder and planted a kiss on his head. Making a nest in the blankets and placing the ferret inside with the stuffy he'd made for him, Remus smiled. "Sleep tight, little buddy. Maybe we'll go out together next time. Sweet dreams."

Remus smiled as he turned back to Ferret. "Of course not. I'd love some alone time with you too, it's just that my newest best friend is so cute and friendly. It makes me want a pet ferret of my own." His grin widened cheekily. "Apart from the one I already have, I mean."

As he saw Ferret look down and hide her eyes, Remus walked over and pulled his into a hug. "Hey, hey. It's not your fault, okay. It was the handful of Slytherins' who were being horrible about you that provoked Sirius and Ash and the others." Placing a finger under her chin Remus led her gaze up until she was looking into his eyes and then kissed her gently. "Alright?"

Ferret smiled and kissed her boyfriend gently. "Well, if your patient, you can have a ferret of your own. Jasper is going to be a daddy in a few weeks." She kissed his neck once, smiling gently. "Then you can have a furry friend too..."

The girl leaned into the hug, into the familiar and loving warm that was Remus. Looking at him, she searched his eyes. For what, even she didn't know. But as he kissed her, she relaxed. Opening her eyes again, she nodded before smiling and taking his hand.

"Come on, I get enough depressing states from everyone else during the day. Lets do something fun!" Smiling more, she took his hand and led him out the door. Once outside, she turned a small sign to one that showed a tea cup before locking her door. Smiling, she held her hand out, an invitation for him to take it.

Remus smiled and kissed Ferret back. "Well then, sign me up to become a ferret parent. If Jasper's kids are as handsome and intelligent as him then I'll be one happy owner." He shivered pleasurably as Ferret kissed his neck. "Who's the mother? Does Jasper have a special lady-friend?"

Remus knew the look of excitement on his face was probably sad and ridiculous, but he couldn't help it. After all that Ferret had told him about ferrets and Jasper in particular, he'd fallen in love with the beautiful little creature immediately.

Remus chuckled as Ferret took his hand and began dragging him out the door. "Very well, little Ferret - something fun it is. No depression allowed within ten feet of us at the present time." Pulling out his wand, Remus conjured a sign that only he and Ferret could see to hang around her neck that read: 'DEPRESSION FREE ZONE'.

Refusing her hand in favour of offering her his arm, Remus assumed mock-proper posture and expression and Transfigured his jacket into a pair of coat-tails before escorting Ferret down the corridor.

Ferret smirked and kissed his neck again, placing her arms around his waist. "Apparently her name is snowball. A little white, black eyed little dear but she went to heat while Jasper was at the vet and....one thing led to another...." Ferret continued to kiss and nip at the boy's neck, smirking against his skin.

She shouldn't be teasing him she knew, but she couldn't help it. Her mind was wondering towards him losing his control, pressing her up against the wall....

At that thought, she moved away, blushing lightly.

Ferret looked down at the sign and laughed, leaning in to kiss him. "Depression beware, right?" she giggled. Her giggles increased as Remus changed into a pair of coat tails and took his arm.

"I feel so underdressed," she teased, kissing his cheek. "And I think you are over dressed for the Hospital's Tea Room."

But the gester made her smile so she couldn't really complain.

"You mean there was biting and stuff?" Remus frowned slightly, before blinking and raising an eyebrow at Ferret questioningly. "So Jasper and Snowball are having kits. What's happening to them - are her owners getting some, are you getting some, are the vet keeping any? Will it be okay for me to have one?"

Remus grinned and chuckled into the kiss, pulling back to quip: "Indeed. I've finally got the Patronus down, and I think depression can hardly be tougher to deal with than a Dementor." With a flourish of his wand an animated Patronus was added to prance around the sign.

"Underdressed, my lady?" Remus sneakily transfigured her clothes into a ball gown to match his suit before Transfiguring both of their clothing back to normal. "Better now? I think we look nice but presentable." Kissing her on the cheek and then the lips, Remus led her down the corridor into the tearoom.

"So, how have things been here?"

"Snowball's owner can't care for any more, so all kits come to me. The vet can't take care of them unless they were up for adoption," Ferret explained. "So I offered to take the kits. So of course it is ok to have one!" She smiled and kissed his cheek.

Ferret smiled as she watched the wolf patronus prance around her sign. She giggled and smiled, leaning into Remus's arm. She let out a squeak of joy and surpise as her clothes were transfigured into a ball gown then back again.

She smirked. "Much better," Ferret whispered against his lips. "But if you wanted to help me change my clothes, all you had to do was ask." She winked.

Ferret shrugged as they walked to the tearoom, leaning her head on Remus's shoulder. "Nothing exciting. I got a healer sacked, my grandparents hired a Metemorph therepist for me to talk to, my aunt is still trying to set me up in an arranged marriage. Nothing interesting so...yeah." She shrugged again.

"How many kits are they likely to have? I would be happy to take more than one or help out if you needed a hand." Remus suddenly chuckled and shook his head. "I'm sorry - I must be boring you. We left Jasper behind so we could have some alone time and I can't get Ferret's off the brain."

As Ferret whispered into their kiss, Remus flushed with a combination of shyness and arousal. Glancing around to ensure they had no audience, he leaned over to whisper in her air, lips brushing against it: "Don't make promises you can't keep, little Ferret. When you get back I'll be holding you to that." Pulling back, Remus gave a wicked wink before wrapping an arm around his girlfriend and kissing her cheek again.

"So, a slow week for you then?" Remus giggled, holding up a hand in apology. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh. The healer would be the one who ripped our stuffy, yes?" His eyes flickered for a moment before his good humour returned. "And the therapist - are you finding it better to have someone who can understand to talk to?"

He deliberately didn't reply to the comment about marriage, feeling somewhat awkward. Given he'd previously proposed to Ferret to offer her an escape route when they were still only friends, it was a subject he felt slightly shy about now that they were dating.

Ferret giggled and kissed his cheek. "Its fine, you're curious. Because this is Snowball's first time, we are not sure how many will survive. But I'm hoping on three or four. So if you would like more than one, that would be alright."

She shivered at his words, biting her lip gently. "I look forward to it..." she whispered and giggled as he kissed her cheek, blushing lightly.

Frowning, Ferret kicked an imaginary rock at the mention of her old healer. "Yeah....she did. And held all letters from me, wouldn't let me leave my room, wouldn't let me decorate my room and wouldn't even let my family see me..." She leaned her head agaisnt Remus's shoulder. "We ended up fighting over the stuffy. She ripped it and I scratched her. She came back with a pair of nailclipper and basicly bound my hands together. I'm pretty sure she was going to put me in a straight jacket if she hadn't been fired for patient harrassement and abuse." She nuzzled her boyfriend's neck gently, seeking comfort.

But she smiled when he asked about her therepist.

"Her name is Jane. She's America and is a really good singer. But it is good, but I find myself wishing to talk to you more than her most times." She kissed his cheek. "Its not as fun cuddling with her."

As Ferret nuzzled into his neck in search of comfort Remus closed his eyes and breathed deeply, fighting back a rising surge of rage. His skin prickled with the memory of growing fur and his teeth began to ache as if to tempt him to bury their sharper form into the flesh of the one who had hurt his mate and touched their property.

Knowing that his eyes would be golden and his pupils slit if he opened them, Remus kept them closed as he cuddled into Ferret and wrapped his arms around her comfortingly. "Well she's all gone now." A slight hint of a growl entered his voice. "And if she ever thinks about coming near you again..." Calming down again, Remus placed a gentle kiss on Ferret's forehead then cheek.

Remus chuckled at Ferret's description of her therapist, before muttering: "I should hope not...." Grinning widely and chuckling wryly, Remus kissed Ferret quickly but thoroughly. "Well, either way I'm glad she won't be replacing me any time soon."
