Ferret sighed and she tried to listen to her Aunt. And she really was trying, but the subject as boring, and would be to any normal girl. Then again, maybe it was only boring to her. Marriage. Her marriage at least. An arranged marriage. Something she was not into discussing. Especially when she had "no choice in the matter". Ferret was just wondering when she should drop the ball that, not only she was dating someone already, but she was dating a guy. Of course, then she would need to tell the woman that he was a half blood, which would make her flip her lid. In a bad way. She would keep the werewolf information to herself.

Poppy Grant looked up at her niece, who was not paying attention in the slightest. "Alice-""Ferret," her niece corrected. "Alice," Poppy continued and her niece rolled her eyes. "You are to meet these men this summer and this summer, you must choose one.""No," her niece said defiantly. Poppy's eyes narrowed. "Why are you so against this Alice?""Maybe," Alice said, her voice forcibly calm. "Because I don't want to marry whatever man has the most money so YOU can roll in the wealth!"Poppy made a gasping sound. "I would never!" But she would. She so would. Gold...glorious gold...

Bethany Hoggs shook her head at her daughter. The girl could be...well greedy at the best of times, but this was ridiculous. Her granddaughter was not interested in an arranged marriage. Everyone had tried but no avail. Her granddaughter was just not interested in men. Sooner or later, they would all have to accept that. But Poppy just wouldn't give up. Meanwhile, her husband Josh was jumping from surface to surface, going on about vampires, werewolves and who knew what else. The man had begun losing his mind after his son's death. And he never quite recovered. But he was more...happy as of late, a good sign in her eyes. Bethany sighed. She knew her granddaughter was dating a young man, but that was all she knew. Whether or not to bring it up was heavy on her mind. "Poppy dear, let Allie rest, she has had a long day." Her granddaughter gave her a grateful look.

Poppy sighed and looked at her mother. "Mum, she needs to be ready for marriage," she said, shuffling her notes covered in names. "As a pureblood it is her duty."Alice snickered. "What?""You said dooty." Poppy rolled her eyes. So immature. "Now, it will be a large, formal event. With only purebloods of course. There, you will meet several suitors and your family. After that, you will choose which you want to marry."She looked at the overly large rat sitting in her niece's lap. "And that...thing will have to stay out of sight."

Ferret sighed placed her head in her hands. Merlin, enough was enough. She looked at her aunt, eyes narrowed and focused. And serious. "I can't do that Aunt Poppy," she said firmly. "And why not?" the woman asked, her voice annoyed. "And don't say it is because you only like woman. We have discussed this. Its just a phase." Ferret sighed and rolled her eyes. "It is NOT just a phase," Ferret said firmly. "But that isn't the reason. I only like ONE guy and I cam currently DATING him!"Ferret glared at the woman who tried to run her life. "And I will not end it with him."
